I do not understand the bad reviews for this gas station. The workers are polite and efficient. The…read morebest part about this place though is the delicious fresh potato wedges. They are the best potato wedges I have ever had. They are real potatoes, not that processed stuff, and they have a delicious crispy breading on the outside. The potato itself is soft and fluffy. You have a choice of sauces, ranch, BBQ or Honey mustard. Today, I tried the catfish fillet as well. The breading was spicy and crunchy and the catfish was flavorful and moist. My fiancé tried the chicken tenders and said they were very tasty. This is a gas station, so you do need to look to see how long the food has been in the case, but every time we have gotten the potato logs, they have been fresh. I have not been in the bathroom so I can't speak to it's cleanliness. I haven't heard anyone yelling. It doesn't appear to be less clean than any other gas station.

Omg Do your very best to never have to be employed here!!! The management is absolutely horrible…read more The general manager literally bragged to me and my wife about her cutting hrs of the people she don't like forcing them to quit so they don't have to pay unemployment. And because we spoke up to her boss about the way she does things she started cutting out hours too!!!! They allow the others to treat and talk to you like dirt but if you say something back you will be sent home. I'm currently employed there but probably not after this. Idc. The workers are not made to work, that's why the store is always nasty and they are rude to their customers. One coworker gets to literally take a nap in his truck while on the clock and if you dare say anything well your treated like crap. The general manager lies to the work release calling someone out under false pretense the same one who sleeps in their vehicle . It is the most backwards place I've ever worked. They wanna get rid of the good ones but keep the ones that do absolutely nothing.

If you can't find parking and make your own no one will come wake you up. There was definitely a 1 hour wait for the showers so I didn't get to experience that. The inside is pretty clean no complaints on the restroom. I would love to come back here!

From a $2.50 broken air machine to a tow truck, police, and a trespass order in a matter of…read moreminutes. We stopped at the Love's in Greenup while traveling in our RV because we needed air. We paid $2.50 for the air machine, only to discover it wasn't working. We went inside and told the attendant. She apologized and refunded us $2--not the full $2.50--and then helpfully told us, "Just pull around back where the diesel trucks are and you can get air for free." Great. We pulled around back but couldn't figure out where she meant. There were no nearby parking spaces suitable for our RV, so we stopped briefly at the entrance to the tire/service area so we could go inside and ASK WHERE WE WERE SUPPOSED TO GO. The coach had been there perhaps two minutes. There were no trucks waiting to enter the service area. Instead of simply saying, "You can't stop there--please move," and answering our question, the service-center employees immediately became extremely confrontational. One woman was screaming at us, and they called both a TOW TRUCK AND THE POLICE. When I went to get into the coach to move it, one of the employees actually yelled, "DON'T MOVE IT NOW! WE ALREADY HAVE A TOW TRUCK COMING!" Think about that for a moment. We were supposedly causing a problem because the RV was blocking an entrance. I attempted to immediately remove the RV from that entrance--and an employee told me NOT TO MOVE IT because they had already called a tow truck. A police officer arrived before we left. He seemed to find the entire situation rather silly himself, but informed us that the business had declared us a nuisance, trespassed us from the property, and we would not be permitted to return. No problem whatsoever. We were customers who had paid for equipment that didn't work, followed the instructions of a Love's employee, became confused about where she had directed us, and stopped for approximately two minutes to ASK FOR DIRECTIONS. That somehow escalated into screaming employees, a tow truck, police, and a trespass order. We have traveled extensively by RV and have dealt with countless truck stops, campgrounds, service centers and businesses along the way. I cannot recall ever seeing such an astonishingly unnecessary escalation of a simple situation. Love's Greenup does not need to worry about enforcing its trespass order. We have absolutely no intention of returning. In fact, after this experience, we have no intention of spending another dollar at ANY Love's location. There are plenty of other truck stops in America happy to have our business. So much for Loves motto of 'Friendly Faces'.
