I was given a fix it ticket for rolling at a stop sign which wasn't worth the argument. I go to courthouse to pay it and upon entering explained what I was there for. This skinny officer tells me there's no such thing as a fix it ticket being all cocky. I told him well that's not what I was told by the officer on the motorcycle. I handed him my original ticket along with a letter I received in the mail from the court. Then told him I need to pay it. He was cocky which made him look like a fool because I was right and he was wrong. So I get to the counter to pay my $25 ticket and I asked the clerk about my ticket. Guess what YES it was a fix it ticket and it's at the discretion of the office who gave it to me. So Mr. Cocky officer who stands behind the convaer belt upon enter you were WRONG..and your attitude needs to be adjusted because your not all that. The other officers standing around were very nice but the skinny guy with the mustache he needs his attitude checked before going to work. NEWSFLASH YOU WERE WRONG AND I WAS RIGHT.. This needs to get fixed because no citizen should have to encounter a cocky guy in a uniform under no circumstances period. read more

If you have the option, consider bypassing all court matters here. After approximately 10 years of being involved in cases, I experienced unimaginable bias, delays, and wrong doings. As a result I have suffered severe health issues from prolonged trials, that turned into lifelong conditions after and forevermore linked to the trauma of continuous injustices. Unfortunately the judicial system is severely broken and corrupt. Expecting the oath you swear upon in the courtroom to be honored by all is delusional. Please understand that your situation may become worse than it already is by going to court, placing your debt and stress at an all time high, as well as remove precious years from your life. Within these walls ethical misconduct runs rapid like water, ruled by actors with a love for money, power, and popularity. Of course there is a handful of people whom to trust, who are not deceptive and possess integrity with pure motives. These humans work endlessly to serve clients compassionately and appropriately. If you must have dealings here, actively pursue the few rare gems for services, assistance and hire. The Small Claims Court extension on the phone menu disappeared, and no reason or explanation has been given. This makes things difficult for people. Also, their website page has a phone number for Small Claims Court, but it's just the main number that leads to a menu, and never even mentions Small Claims Court. Further, they don't answer the phone. This system is incompetent. read more

The employees are some of most helpful, friendly people I have ever met. The Marshal's Office staff are truly some of the best I have ever encountered. Fix your automated system!!!!!!!!!! You can and they give you the option to speak to a traffic clerk after 10 minutes of their BS recordings of some guy in a monotone voice, then one you press the # to get to a clerk, it's a BUSY SIGNAL!!? GET MORE CLERKS!!!! GET CALL WAITING SO PEOPLE CAN WAIT ON HOLD!!! CHEAP ASSES. I think they want you to NOT GET THROUGH so they can charge you more if you don't get your ticket paid!! Ass backwards. Horrible experience attending jury selection as a disabled ( hard of hearing) and older person. They are NOT ADA compliant. The young bailiff/Marshall laughed in my face when I stated I couldn't understand speech without being able to lip read. The judge realized I was pissed and then was condescendingly 'nice". It's 2021, get it together Shasta Superior Court. read more

The previous reviews must have been paid. There is nothing nice about the Shasta County Superior Court system. From walking in to see the cops with unfriendly & sometimes nasty looks. Just staring at you. If they aren't sitting on their asses looking like asses, they are yack-yack-yacking away with each other and not really paying much attention to what they're supposed to be doing. Rude. All of them. What do they have to be grumpy about. Easy jon that pays very well. The Administration... Melissa Fowler-Bradley Could care less what your complaint is. She was evasive, misleading, and rude when I talked to her about what I was going through with the court system. I didn't even know who she was until I demanded her business card and saw. She had not even introduced herself to me when I walked in the office. Her arrogance is sickening. I can not go into details of my case or complaints as they are ongoing and that Fowler-Bradley woman may get vindictive. I've been dealing with the hell which is Shasta County Superior Court for a couple of months and have been talking to others who have explained thier horrible experiences as well. These are people who did not commit crimes (nor have I). Just people who have been shafted because of lack of due diligence by the court. The system is rigged and corrupt. From that nasty woman who is CEO to the judges to the dumbass lawyers that just rip you off and don't do their job. Someone needs to investigate this atrosity of a court system!! read more

I had traffic court here because CHP failed to tell me that I needed to show up for court for my fix-it ticket and I got a Failure to Appear. The court staff was friendly and they were willing to help me with any questions I had. The Marshal that was working the court was concise and straight to the point, no BS at all and she got things done in a hurry and in an organized fashion (and she had cute donut pens that were so adorable). The judge was fair and nice and helped with any questions I had. The collections clerk was fast and I was out of there in no time with a reduced fine and was reduced to an infraction. I went to court for unlawful detainer, first landlord agrred to sell my business for $80,000 then changed his mind 4 months later he sends me 3 day notice saying I was 4 months behind, I texted him, no response but 2 days later got another 3 day notice this time 3 months behind. I was not late on 1 month. I have been renting buildings for over 7 years. I moved out 70,000lbs of stuff because he ask clean it up. I have about $450,000 in inventory. went to court thought it was 30th, then got letter in mail. saying it was the 10th I think, gave me less then a week. landlord had a lawyer now. ask me to do settle ment had me read it as I walked into court. I brought up everything to judge including how my wife was not served. he said she's been dismissed? I then told him I didn't fully understand the settlement I was just handed, and I would like to have a lawyer look at it. he said DENIED you had plenty of time to get a lawyer. this is supposed to be a fast thing for landlords? is this a way for they normally have mortgages to pay. He said sign or we do trail right now. I pleaded again same result. is this a way for landlords to rip off millions? I am also disabled and was going to court on a case with wife.
