I thought she was very rude to me and what she said to me is unprofessional. This took place on June 3rd 2025, around 12:50-1pm. I did not purposefully ask for time off for jury duty. They stayed with her for over 30 minutes, trying to problem solve a way to get home. They offered her a ride, to call someone, or said they'd have to take her into the sober room. Both officers were incredibly kind, and clearly wanted to help her. Despite her belligerent behavior, they gave her numerous opportunities to honestly pull herself together. She was pretty elevated, I did not hear the officers raise their voice at all. They treated this like the mental health crisis that it was, and were incredibly professional and empathetic.

I know people who had 6 or 7 violations and still did little jail time . also Brian was told he would be going to a rehab if he pleaded guilty to these charges , which he thought would help him . that didn't happen . He was tricked into taking a deal which is what Butte county does with everyone . the Public defenders work with the DA - and don't do their jobs to defend their clients . His co defendant who pleaded guilty to these charges because the drugs were found in her handbag received probation and has still never showed up for sentencing . if Mr Bentley did his job , my Son would not have to take any deal and the charges for him would have been dropped . believe who you want , but unless he is hired and paid you can expect just what my son got .... railroaded ! public defenders just go along with the DA and convince people that the deals are the best way to go ... they dont want to go to trial because they aren't getting paid enough !
