I arrived at the appointed time. Very quickly, I was ushered into the scanning room, got prepped and lay down for the scan. It was seamless, quick and professionally done. Dr. Patel called a few days later to go over the results and emailed them the same day. I would wholeheartedly recommend them for your scanning needs. read more

My Dad died of lung cancer in 2010. Only 5 weeks from diagnosis to death. Lung cancer, like many cancers, have no symptoms until you're Stage 4 and close to dying. I decided I didn't want any awful surprises like my Dad had. I know the ONLY way to beat cancer is to catch it EARLY! So, in 2012 I found Superior Body Scan and have gone there for an AFFORDABLE head and full body CT Scan yearly and now every other year since COVID pandemic hit. I love this place! Low key, efficient, kind staff and perennially reliable! Dr Patel is the prescribing doctor for the CT Scans. He works at the practice. You don't need a prescription from your own doctor. You just call Superior Body Scan and schedule your Scan!! It's SO EASY TO DO!! The scan itself is very quick! And, the results of the scan are read by a radiologist who sends report to Dr Patel who will contact you within 2 weeks (usually shorter) and go over the report with you on the telephone. Then he will postal mail you the report. There is cancer on BOTH sides of my family and the likelihood of me developing cancer is quite high. Getting a scan every year or every two years ensures me of catching cancer early and having the opportunity to beat it!!! If cancer runs in your family or if you're a smoker or former smoker of anything, do yourself a favor and go to Superior Body Scan to stay safe!! read more

I was able to get an appointment quickly. Everything was explained over the phone, so I knew what to expect. The office is nothing fancy, but that's not necessary as long as the job gets done. The staff was friendly, and the procedure (body scan) was quick. I shopped around and felt the price was reasonable. I had it done it on Friday and was called the following Wednesday with my results. A good experience all around. read more

Dr. Patel is great, staff is very friendly and I would highly recommend the Full Body Scan!!

I had an excellent service from Dr. Patel and the whole team at Superior Body Scan. I went in for a complete scan and Dr. Patel called me the same day to alert me that I had pneumonia. I was able to get it handled right away so, who knows, perhaps he saved my life! The scan process was fast and comfortable. The review afterwards gave me a lot of useful information. I highly recommend this service because the results are excellent and the price is very affordable. read more

Dr Patel is an asshole, he called my wife to go over body scan results a few weeks ago and was nice, pleasant and discussed her results. He said some recommendations that were not on the body scan. We called back today to clarify and he totally said my wife was making things up and was an absolute jerk to her. Would not recommend their office what a jerk read more

The Information I got from this scan, 'Will be' life changing. I have No Doubt! My results were, surprising. To say the least!BUT, At least now, BECAUSE of this scan, I will have the time needed to try and get my 'areas of concern' diagnosed and possibly reversed! This Body scan and Doctor, have ARMED me with important information I clearly NEED to follow up on. And even more importantly, made me aware of the actions 'I need to take ' So I CAN begin, taking better care of ... ME! Without this scan, I never would have known that, I was heading for real trouble. And Very likely, Would have lost YEARS of 'priceless time spent', observing my childrens lives ... begin to bloom. And even worse, It would have been 'NEEDLESSLY'! The price was with in reason (a couple hundred bucks). And WORTH every penny! The Dr. was running a tad behind (But, Only - a one WEEK delay!). Not Bad. His final report was very detailed and easy to understand. HE even followed it all up with A phone call to discuss his areas of concerns more throughly, and made sure That I understood and didnt have any questions to ask. To 'Whoever' it was that came up with the BODY scan idea, BRAVO! That was BRILLIANT! Also, the girl operating the scan machine. AND, Dr. Patel in Fullerton, they did a Great job! Absolutely, PAINLESS! They knew their machine well, and have obviously been doing this for a long time. And Guess what? I, REALLY LIKED - that! Because Dr. Patel, obviously had an extensive education And A wide base of KNOWLEDGE when it comes to understanding and diagnosising muliple body parts! Meaning, NOT just 1. As most Drs. Do today. Dr. Patel, CLEARLY KNOWS, What he is doing! (A much nicer way' of saying; HE REALLY - "KNOWS HIS SHIT"!)! I have found that Most physicians today, are more, "A La Cart". 'Specializing' - Yes. But ONLY, on One area! And, They charge - accordingly. They either wont or cant, go beyond that certain body part. Where as, 'old school' Drs (Such as Dr Patel... Really Do - 'KNOW, their shit! Thank YOU Dr. Patel, for Sharing your insight and knowledge And Hopefully, A Few 'Extra years', I might get ~ with my family! Now THAT alone ... WOULD BE PRICELESS!! (IF, I CHANGE my ways ... NOW!) Of course. Sincerely, Laura Knippelberg Cypress, Ca read more

I would give negative stars if I could. WOMEN DO NOT go here. They had me undress (remove bra and blouse). They gave me a paper gown and when the assistant came over to put the medical Leeds on me, she ripped open the gown fully exposing my breast, w me laying flat on my back. She was not tactful in the least. It was completely unnecessary to fully open the gown and expose my entire chest/breasts and stomach. The machine technician who was a male was also in the room w us to witness my bare breasts. I pulled the gown closed and she proceeded to do the same thing again. I've never experienced this lack of consideration. I found a diff scan center in Torrance who didn't require me to remove my clothes at all. I have a few other family members who found different locations to do this same scan and also didn't have to remove their clothes. This place is not safe. The doctor is also arrogant and impatient. read more

We were pleased with our interaction with the office and Dr Patel. Fullerton is a little distance for us but the office was easy to find with plenty of parking. I had a full body and calcium score completed. Dr Patel called a week later giving me the run down. He asked a few questions and gave me some recommendations but also encouraged me to share the results with my physicians to assure they could incorporate the results into their treatment plans for me. read more

I decided to proceed with a scan after both of my brothers found heart problems after their scans. The process was easy and quick. Update - I definitely had a scan and waited nearly 1.5 hours to see Dr for results. I'm not sure why the dates on this are messed up but my scan was on 9/27/19 and I believe my follow up appt was 10/1/19. The doctor is welcome to call me if he would like details, they have my number in their records. First name is James, check your appt calendar for 9/27/19 at 8:00am. The scan was fine, it was the follow up appointment waiting for well over an hour for the first appointment of the day that was the issue. read more

I had a scan and waited over 21 DAYS for the results. I had to call several times. When the doctor was finally able to came to the phone for the "results consultation". He did not seem prepared; gave very minimal information, no explanation or information added. I had a CT last year with an actual reputable company in Irvine. This person on the phone (who I assume was the doctor) didn't even mention what was indicated on the previous CT (which was reviewed at length with my GP and that radiologist). It's difficult to trust the results with such an unprofessional process. The staff does explain anything about the process before or during the actual scan. The office is not professional, no one wears an identifying name badge (was that a nurse who took my blood pressure? Who was that in the scan room?). *I was told to "take these blue pills" (I declined) from the woman who answers the phones. She then told me to drink some white liquid. Shouldn't this be given by a medical professional.....how are meds handed out to patients by a receptionist? But without a badge, who knows maybe she is a nurse also. The bathroom is where you are asked to change and leave your belonging, no locker, a secondary door from another hall, and discarded paper gowns on the floor, simply unacceptable for a medical office. Overall -highly unsatisfied. I would not recommend this to anyone. ALSO- I noticed a small crack in the CT machine while inside.... I should have walked out. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. read more

I've been worried about my heart for a while. My cholesterol and inflammation markers from my bloodwork is fine. But, I drink more beer and eat more fried food and red meat than I feel I probably should. There's a history of cardiovascular disease in my family and with the recent heart attack of Tony Soprano (actor James Gandolfini) it made me think I needed to get a better picture of how my heart is. So, I decided to get a cardiac calcium score test. This test is considered a good indicator if there's Coronary Artery Disease or plaque buildup in the blood vessels to the heart. I googled "calcium score" for my area and I found Superior Body Scan. I was pleased with the reasonable cost of $150 for the heart CT scan/cardiac calcium scoring test. So I called to make an appointment and I was able to get one for the next morning. The clinic was very efficient because they called me the evening before and the morning of to remind me of my scan. I have to admit that when I arrived I was a bit apprehensive because the building and office seemed a bit dour looking. Other than that the appearance of the facility I thought the staff was attentive and friendly and my overall experience was good. The scan took about 10 minutes and the CT Scan manager, Kat, was very helpful and reassuring. She gave me a thumbs up and told me that I had very clean looking arteries around my heart. It really brought me peace of mind and relieved much of the stress that I may have some cardiovascular issues to dealt with. I now realize things are fine and I feel awesome! I'd recommend people who are concerned about issues which may or may not show up on their traditional lab work to check Superior Body Scan out. They are very reasonable and the peace of mind of knowing what lurks (or doesn't lurk) inside our body is PRICELESS! Thank you Superior Body Scan! read more

These guys saved my life. What can I say? Although my insurance would not pay for the scan Superior Body Scan made me a deal if I brought my wife in as well. She is a cancer survivor and her scan was all good. Mine, on the other hand was not. It proved that I was on the same path as my father and grandfather before me--a heart attack waiting to happen. With the scan in hand I was able to get my insurance to finally cover heart procedures in order to continue to live my life. I have now surpassed all previous males in my family line and have modern medicine and Superior Body Scan to thank. The cost was a drop in the bucket when I look back. read more

This place is beyond terrifying. My friend and I went for our annual body scan and since were we normally go is no longer in business we decided to try this place WHAT A MISTAKE. They tried to give us both drugs to lower our heart rates without a medical history or knowing what medications we were taking. when we refused the Doctor said they had the best price around and would do the scan without the medication but it might not be accurate. We could not get out of there fast enough. Who takes medication from someone you do not know? I could have been on medication that did not agree with it. They said they wanted to lower my heart rate!! They did not even ask if I had a heart problem. Please stay away read more

Great facility. Great service. Friendly staff. I have a consistently high level of Cholesterol. So my primary care physician suggested that I get a Calcium Scoring scan. Superior Body Scan performs the scan for $150. After talking to the tech, Kathy, I found out that the facility offers full body scan for only $450. So I took up the offer. I am glad I did go for the full body scan. The scan detected a small growth on my left kidney which I was able to deal with early on before it become a serious problem. I would highly recommend Superior Body Scan to anyone who need a CT Scan. read more

I had a body scan done here in April 2017. The pros are that the scan is done relatively quickly and is extremely affordable to check out a variety of different potential health concerns in the body. My family has a history of brain aneurysms and I was relieved to find out that I did not have any, based on the brain scan that was completed. I live an extremely healthy lifestyle eating a clean diet, exercising regularly, I don't smoke or drink, and so forth. I was shocked to discover from the results of my scan that I was experiencing many different issues with organs in my body such as lumps, cysts, fissures, stones, etc. Most surprising of all was that they found plaque in my heart arteries. Although I been having some chest pain prior to this, so I guess it wasn't a shock. My regular general practitioner wanted me to get a cardiac stress test and several ultrasounds including for a lump in my thyroid. It was going to cost about $3,000 for all of this. Instead I spent $450 at Superior Body Scan and got all of these things checked out and more. After you have the scans done you will get a written report in the mail explaining all of the findings that you can share with your doctor. I would caution you on ordering a CD of the images, however. They sent me two different CDs and I wasn't able to open the images in the first one except for one tiny image of the brain. In the second CD I saw multiple images of my brain, but no other organs. They told me I would need special equipment to open the file. I don't understand why they sell it to the general public if they can't open it on their computer. The woman who makes the CDs couldn't answer any of my questions about what kind of file it was and what kind of software I needed to open it with. So the person who makes the CDs of the images doesn't know what she's doing. The place is little bit ghetto looking on the outside and run down on the inside. But they get the job done. I did not take the bariatric drink because I was already getting exposed to so much radiation from having the brain scan and multiple images taken. Your personal choice of course, but I didn't do it and they seemed to be able to get some pretty good images never-the-less. I drank an enormous amount of aloe juice and took a huge amount of liposomal vitamin C prior to and after the scan. I also took a bunch of kelp tablets before and afterwards and for a few days afterwards I continued this routine. I did this because I felt hotspots in my head, felt nauseous, and just generally didn't feel well during and for a while after the procedure. The research I did online showed me that there is a lot of radiation exposure with this type of scan. I don't know if I'll ever do it again but I'm not sorry I did it. It's a relief to know I don't have any brain aneurysms and it was important for me and the future treatment of my health to know about all of the other issues. I recommend anybody over the age of 50 to have this done, especially at least get the heart scan done, possibly sooner if there's a lot of heart disease in your family or your doctor recommends it at an earlier age. It's probably not that much radiation to just do that test. Research I did online also showed that even Bill Clinton who ended up having triple bypass surgery, had gotten a clean "bill" of health : ) from a cardiac stress test and a general annual physical. So heart disease is definitely hidden and it's a silent killer, as they say. read more

Superior Body Scan - Great scan for us hypochondriacs ! - Medical Centers Near Me - Fullerton, California

My husband and I are getting up there in age and I just gave birth to our first child. Needless to say, I was concerned about our health since we are old enough to be grandparents. The staff is really friendly, including Dr. Patel. He called us up the following week to provide my husband and me with our results. Everything seemed spot on. Now we are just waiting for the hardcopies to be mailed to us. The only minor complaint I have was that we weren't made aware of how long the process takes prior to arriving at our appointment. The website makes it seem like you will be in and out in 15 or 20 minutes but that is not the case as you need to consume a barrium liquid 30 minutes prior to scanning. Other than that everything was great and it's nice to have peace of mind. read more

I had my full body CT scan and head CT scan on April 4th. I am 54 and in good shape and want to stay that way( and out of the doctor's office ). I arrived on time for my appointment. The office is clean and I would describe the waiting room decor as minimal. Just the basics- no art on the walls. Plenty of reading material and the wait was less than 15 minutes. The staff was polite, friendly and professional. The scan itself took 5- 10 minutes. I was told that the doctor would call with my results is a few days and that I would get a report in the mail as well. The doctor did call me within a matter of days and explained my results in detail and also provided any recommendations based on the test results. The report was received within 10 days. Overall, I am very happy with my experience. They delivered exactly what was promised and the peace of mind and the ability to manage my healthcare concerns is priceless. I would never be able to get such a thorough wellness screening through current medical insurance avenues. Speaking of price- I had wanted to do this scan years ago when they were more popular and the price was just too prohibitive for me. Now though, the price at this facility was very reasonable and I did not hesitate to schedule. The whole thing( 2 scans which included heart scan -calcium scoring) was less than $500 for and they offer a discount for cash or debit. read more

I am a family physician and due to having significant heart disease risk factors but no symptoms, my wife and I decided to have coronary calcium scoring before considering more aggressive cardiac testing. Through an internet search I found Superior Body Scan and was pleased to see the price was $150. (I did not see any other location where the price was openly displayed). It was several miles from home, but an easy freeway drive. After arriving, we decided to also get full body scans and the staff was agreeable to accommodate our request. Dr Arun Patel gave us preliminary results before we left and after a radiologist's review, the full results were phoned to us by Dr Patel himself, with the written reports received by mail in less than 2 weeks. One of us had an abnormal coronary scan that will require further testing and the other was clear. Dr. Patel was professional and thorough in his explanation of the scan results. I appreciate his medically sound insights and advice which will be followed as we move forward with our local doctors. I recommend Superior Body Scan and Dr Arun Patel to anyone where the clinical situation suggests the need for coronary calcium screening or a full body scan. read more

It you need a CT scan but find your insurance won't cover it or it's just too expensive, check this place out. They even offer a full body scan for $425 at the time of this posting, with a surcharge of $50 for the head/brain. The scan only takes minutes and they can usually schedule you within a few days. But, bring your patience because there are often elderly and infirm people who slow down the process and it may take an hour and a half. It's run by a competent Doctor of Indian descent who will let you know if there's an immediate hospital worthy problem, but results are guaranteed within a week. In my case it was two business days and he was very thorough. Even with grade A health insurance, my portion would have been over $1000 just to scan one area of the body, with a full body scan (very difficult to find anywhere) retailing over $4K. Someone called it best priced scan in the world and it makes sense as they have clients from Austria to Australia. PS My health savings account debit/ credit card worked here which put a smile on my face because it doesn't even work at some drugstores. read more

Don't do this.. it is a scam to get your money. They will tell you one diagnosis on the phone and send you a report telling you another thing.
