As a longtime Geek Squad member, I was used to relying on them to fix my laptop and at least retrieve my files -- so I was shocked when I was told they wouldn't even look at it because it was "too old" (purchased in 2020!) for their technicians to bother with. Desperate, we contacted OnSite Geeks and spoke with Sam, the owner. Over the phone, he immediately reassured me -- not only would he do everything possible to get the laptop running, but he was confident he could recover my data. Because I live quite a distance from their shop, Sam even arranged for a technician to meet us at a mutually convenient location. Incredible service! Within a week, my laptop was fully repaired, running perfectly, and every bit of my data was restored. The price was very reasonable--and most notably it was the price quoted--not sudden fees added. And remarkably, Sam personally delivered the laptop back to me at the same meeting point, saving me the extra driving time once again. I truly cannot recommend OnSite Geeks enough. I asked all of my tech savvy friends and all of them had different answers about what they thought was wrong with my PC. I had a feeling it was my motherboard, whether that be the bios/drivers or the physical motherboard. But for the life of me I could not narrow it down. When I went to data link west they gave me a free diagnosis. Rob used the system console to test the internet's connection strength and found out that the built in WiFi in my intel motherboard was the problem. He was able to figure out what was wrong about the PC in just five minutes, while it took me days to even narrow down WHERE the problem came from. I came in on a day when Robert wasn't in, and the other employee working there gave me his card. The next time I came in, Robert was there and I asked for motherboard suggestions. He printed me out the newegg pages for two of them, and then told me how to find them. When I was driving back home I got a text from him saying he realized the ones he showed me don't have built in WiFi, and sent me a new suggestion. When the motherboard I ordered arrived, I called the shop. The shop didn't pick up, but I got a call from the owner saying that he's not working at the shop today, and he told me that Robert was in today, though. In an hour or two I got a text from Robert. He said that he needed to install new software since I changed the brand of motherboard I was using, and in another hour or two, the PC was fully fixed. Funnily enough, Robert was out the next day and I would've had to wait 5 more days for it to be done if he weren't there! He even said he stress tested the WiFi to make sure we don't have the same problem! I cannot begin to describe how helpful everyone was, from the free diagnostic, giving me motherboard suggestions without charging me, to calling me back on YOUR DAY OFF WHILE OUT OF TOWN, this is my number one new repair space. I cannot recommend this business enough, they're the real deal, and won't ever rip you off like other places might. Thank you so much for helping me get my gaming PC up and running, it's been amazing.
