This is the WORST barbershop in Boston, hands down. Most of their barbers are low quality budget haircutters. Will NEVER go back here again.

The only person who can actually cut hair the way you ask for it is the manager. The first time I went, I had to go back three times before the cut was right. It was noticeably uneven on the sides. I do not have have a complicated style. The second time, the girl didn't cut the back the way I wanted it. When I went back, the girl who 'fixed' (it wasn't right, even after a second cut) it told me that I didn't ask for the style correctly (even though I asked for it exactly the way the manager had instructed the first time). So, they cut my hair poorly and blamed me for it. You get what you pay for here. Go somewhere else. Anywhere. Cut your own hair - it'll still come out better and be a nicer experience. read more

Can't figure out the wait policy. Three separate times the story has changed from the manager. One of the time she skipped my 5 year old son. Not sure can you call in vs putting your name I. And waiting or is that take whom ever you see fit. Pretty sure under new management is In Order. read more

Went to have my haircut while my wife went to Shaw's this afternoon. Three stylists were cutting customers hair. No one was waiting when I came in. Five minutes after I came in, another customer came in. Shortly after that, one of the three stylists finished cutting her customers hair. While she was cleaning her work area, the second stylist finished cutting her customers hair and then began cleaning her work station. Figured the wait to have my hair cut wouldn't be long. Wrong. Next thing I know the first stylist is walking out the front door and the second stylist disappeared into the back. After being there for 25 minutes, I told the remaining stylist I had to go. Would have been nice if when I came in, the stylist had told me that there was only going to be one stylist cutting hair when the other two finished. read more

Super Cuts West Roxbury is awful. I get a different hair stylist each time, which I understand is their business model. Each time the stylists, says "where did you go to get your hair cut the last time because they did an AWFUL job." I tell them I came here, and then the stylist starts picking apart the hair cut and basically throwing her own colleagues under the bus. This has happened on several occasions. I have short hair and it shouldn't be too difficult, but for some reason, the one before always did a bad job according to the current stylists. Doesn't exactly breed a great deal of confidence. I have gone elsewhere, but it kills me to spend $60 for a hair cut! read more

Amazing service from Tia! I was in a pinch and couldn't get an appointment with my regular salon so I figured why not try it??? Great color and blow dry! Super sweet and she did such a great job on my hair. I got so many compliments after I left there! Just as good as any expensive salon! Highly recommend!!!!! read more

I not only recommend you not to go, but I also PLEAD you not to go. The cut was terrible. It was almost as bad as the skanky hair stylist. With her revealing leopard print in January, I barfed at the sight of her. Supercuts is a large corporation, so I doubt it will take action on this individual worker. She should be fired and given no compensation for her work. read more

Do NOT go here. These people aren't just bad at haircuts, they're just bad people. I went here once and the stylist tried using my insecurities about my dry, thin hair to convince me to buy this shampoo they were selling. I told her my shampoo brand, she told me it wasn't the best, that their shampoo WAS the best. Then she brought up how my hair was thin and dry, something I'm so insecure about, and said their shampoo would make it nice and thick. It was awful. Really heinous. I genuinely hate this place and how the stylist/haircutter made me feel. Just not a good place. Ladies and gentleman, go to a real salon where they treat you right. I was a real fool; I needed a quick cut and thought this wouldn't be so bad, just a simple cut. From the very beginning I was regretting coming here, with a pit in my stomach, and once they started to wax on and on about their great Mitchell Shampoo, it became a horror show. I practically staggered out and only realized how poor and uneven the haircut was once I got to my car. I'll need to see someone at a real salon to touch it up properly after I grow it out, and meanwhile I'll look ridiculous and feel horrible. Really, the altruist in me begs you to PLEASE not go here! Yes, it's cheap. Yes it's fast. But it's not worth it. You'll end up paying more to fix the cut, or end up being treated like a freaking side show or a patsy for their likely bad products. Popped in on a whim after a long day at work, my usual stylist is on hiatus and I was desperate for a cut, layer clean up...waited a long time which I understood since I did not call ahead. This place was BUSY. It actually made me realize how hard everyone was working and it made the time go by a bit faster. Today I saw Karen. I have had the best experience with Jenny at Supercuts in West Roxbury. She used to work at John Dellaria in Cambridge and was trained there. Her shampoos are so relaxing and she gives excellent, precise cuts and makes sure that she lines everything up before she finishes. I have long, very fine hair cut in long layers. She is a great listener and I am always happy when I leave -- happier than many much higher priced salon cuts on Newbury St. So if you go to Supercuts, ask for Jenny -- a true professional and outstanding hair stylist! read more

Haircut was awful, I feel they don't put any effort into it. If you're a man you might as well go down centre st and go to phils across from St.Thresas. The price was outrageous for a half-ass haircut. The lady cut way too much off and even asked if I wanted any more off. Very unsatisfied. Definitely the last time I ever go there. read more

I am a frequent flyer at this salon & I choose this place because their customer service skills along with their hair stylists are superb!!! But I had a bad experience on today. Today one of the stylist was feeling a bit under the weather & I noticed that she kept going to the bathroom to vomit. I went to go & check on her & I asked her was she ok and she replied "I will be alright. I'm just a little under the weather". So I then said sweetie why don't you go home if you're sick & she then replied "I would, but I have to close the store". I know if I noticed that she was sick, her coworkers noticed it as well! I became VERY angered by this so I chose to just up & leave. I really hope that this young lady feels better soon & I pray that her coworkers become compassionate in the near future. read more

im not picky about a haircut so ive always just gone to supercuts and never had a problem but never been wow'd either. today i went in on an impulse to add a pink steak to my long blonde hair. the girl i got was awesome (i forgot to ask her name though) she did everything she could to explain the process and had her manager double check a few things which really assured me. i was nervous that id hate it. i showed her a picture of a similar style and she gave me exactly what i wanted. i asked her halfway through if she could also blowdry and style my hair withour noticing the time but she said yes and i ended up being there a half an hour after close. they were so friendly and helpful i will definately be back, hopefully i can catch her name next time because ill recommend her to my friends :) read more

I like this supercuts for its location and because my favorite stylist is there. However, there is a big problem with this franchise's policy where you cannot make an appointment to get your hair cut and colored. You have to make the appointmet the day you want to go, and if your stylist is busy when it's convenient for you, you'll have ot pick a time when she is avialable. This is not acceptable. If Supercuts is going to offer color, then they should offer appointments. As far as color and cuts are concerned they are the same price as any other local salon, so they're not offering anything special (except for my stylist who is superb) I tried to call corporate headquarters to voice my complaint and they don't answer their phone. I went around and Regis, the company that owns Supercut and the woman did not care because the Supercuts in West Roxbury is a franchise. That to me is extremely poor customer service. If you have all the time in the world to wait, then go to this Supercuts, otherwise find a salon who takes appointments. read more
