I went to Kaley on a recommendation from a friend saying that she knew color really well. I explained my horror story to her and she had me come in for a complimentary consultation to assess the situation. At this point I never expected that I would get anywhere near what my original goal was, but I just wanted my hair fixed to a point that I liked. Not only was she super sweet and amazing when I went in for the consultation but she even said that the hair cut I had received she didn't believe complimented the hair color and she cut it on the house for me. I went back for the actual coloring and she was A MIRACLE WORKER!!!! Not only did she get rid of the horrible streaks that were left in my hair, but she pretty much took it to my original dream goal. She was SO sweet and caring and really seemed invested in trying to fix my hair. I was SO impressed with her work, she did an absolutely amazing job. I had not had my haircut in a super long time and needed some help with some low maintenance color options. The salon itself is very "low stress". It doesn't give off your typical salon vibe. It is comfortable and everyone there made me feel like I was at home while still maintaining a professional atmosphere. Jess helped me get the perfect cut. She really listened to what I wanted, while providing helpful tips. She didn't cut it too short, and the style is amazing. I can't say enough about the cut itself. It is PERFECT!! The salon is very dark. When she was done with my hair, looked darker than I asked for but since it was dark in the salon, I decided not to say anything in front of her new client. I thought it would be better to check it out at home. She was eager to set up a new appointment but I made an excuse so I could evaluate this very expensive hair coloring. My bill with tip was $365.88. I got home and checked my hair in every light in my house. It was much darker than it was when I went in which is not at all what I asked. I asked for an icy blonde and not a brunette. I messaged her, told her I would not make another appointment and said my hair was much darker than it was before I went in. She recommended purple shampoo to help correct her mistake. I would have to spend money to fix it but this is also the same shampoo she told me while she was doing my hair that she wouldn't recommend it for my hair type (I have been told in the past not to use it). She offered to redo it for free but at this point, I lost any ounce of confidence in her. Her mistake, her bad recommendation (other colorists agree) etc. I then asked for my tip back because she truly did not deserve a penny of it. She decided to ignore me after I asked. After she ignored me, I decided to comment on her post, the one I saw to make an appointment. I stated the above with pictures. Within 5-10 minutes (not at all exaggerating) she deleted the post. She decided to post in a local private group of all beauticians etc. in kitsap and she told everyone if I made an appointment to fix her mistake, they need to cancel because I was a difficult client. She blocked anyone who defended me. This post was very hurtful since she made the mistake. I was criticized by a few of her friends who backed her and was told they back her only because she's one of them. She slandered my name, made sure no colorist would touch me to fix her mistake (or take me on as a client) in kitsap, kept 100% of the money, refused to return the tip (I didn't ask for it all, just my tip) and had her friends pm me to harass me. I had my hair japanese thermal straightened and have been trimming it out so I can enjoy my curls again . She shaped my hair, thinned it out , taught me about curl patterns , how to retrain my hair , correct salon grade products , heat products , inquired about my routine , and even talked to me about color because I was honest and told her I had thermal straightening in my hair still and the color she is seeing is blonde that I had professionally colored back to my original color . I can't wait to go back to start my color journey ! Since I want peak a boos in there ! She was so lovely , knowledgeable and after the cut my hair has been bouncy , light , curly for days !
