I've been going to this Supercuts for years, and honestly, Rosina was the ONLY stylist who ever cut/styled my hair right. She was talented, professional, and actually cared about her clients. My sister and I both only trusted her, everyone else there has either messed up my hair or just didn't seem to know what they were doing. The worst haircut I ever got was actually from the manager herself, years ago. She barely paid attention to me or my hair, hardly said a word to me, and instead was chatty with everyone else in the salon except the person sitting in her chair... me. It felt extremely rude and unprofessional. Letting Rosina go for a ridiculous reason was a HUGE mistake on their part. She was the sole reason I ever came back, and without her, I won't be returning. read more

My husband and I have been going to Supercuts at the Beach Shopping center for many years. We both schedule with Patty who has been the store manager for quit some time.. Patty is excellent!! She is straight forward and asks questions about what you want prior to her starting to work on you. She colors and cuts my hair perfectly and knows what she is doing. She is very efficient and conscience of our time in the chair so as to provide the service requested swiftly so that we can get on with our day as soon as possible. Yet she is also very pleasant to converse with and is very personable. I would certainly recommend Patty and her team. NEVER NEVER NEVER!!! All I wanted was a trim and this place charges full rate regardless. I scheduled online but was running late so I called as a courtesy a full half-hour in advance and the girl who answered seemed all too thrilled to cancel my appointment, did not ask if I wanted to come later, and hung up. I actually found a local place, All Star on Route 9 in Ossining next to Lucy's Pizza and a trim, as I wanted, was half the price of Supercuts, not to mention with a highly skilled barber. Supercuts is a chain and likely comprised of young, first-time, just out of school cutters. If it were a haircut factory with very cheap pricing, great. For what it costs there is MUCH better out there. read more

Took my son to get a haircut. It was only his second one ever and he's not a fan. He's not even two years old. The lady cutting his hair was not friendly or inviting to him at all. I understand it's not a kids place but to engage a little. She botched his hair, granted he was moving and trying to climb down. But I have to take him somewhere else to fix this. And even before leaving she asked where I lived I told her and she told me to go to a place in Mahopac or Mt Kisco next time that has the seats that are cars/planes. I really do understand cutting his hair is a struggle but if you cannot handle it, be honest and ask someone else to do it or I would have went somewhere else in the first place. read more

I've been coming here on and off for the last few years. They've never been the friendliest bunch, but you can count on a decent haircut at a reasonable price. So today, day two of their re-opening after covid lockdown, I get there a few minutes after they opened, in desparate need of a haircut. Two women just sitting there twirling their hair, and a woman at reception on the phone. I stood behind the masking tape line, waved and said good morning. "Sir, you need to wait outside." I start backing towards the door. "Oh! Sorry! Should I have called, or will you call me, or....?" "SIR YOU NEED TO WAIT OUTSIDE!!!!!!" she screamed, loud enough to wake the dead. I left. A woman who came in as I was walking out got the same treatment. (I heard it through the closed heavy glass door.) She came out looking pretty shocked. These are strange times indeed, and stress is understandably high. If appointments are required these days, or if I stood in the wrong spot, or whatever, fine, just explain it nicely. Twice since they reopened after lockdown, I've been there and my husband once. The first time I figured maybe she was "rusty" after not working for so long, but the second time I happened to get the same girl and I swear she cannot cut a straight line. And I didn't ask for anything complicated! Today husband came home looking like a first grader whose mom went at him with the kitchen shears. In life you get what you pay for, and I understand that complaining about a haircut from Supercuts is like squabbling over the quality of meat at Burger King, but even as a discount option this place is way too overpriced for what you get. Went twice due to convenience and drew the short straw both times in being seated with Patty. She can't competently handle the most basic men's haircut and struggles with simple instruction. My 8year old son went in to get a small part of his head re-buzzed and to get the back trimmed. He specifically said not to cut anything on the right side. We confirmed that we didn't want anything done on the right- just the buzz on the left and the trim on the back. Well, the stylist decided to "clean him up" for us and cut the right side into a bob anyway. read more

I actually really like this Supercuts. I think it's kind of unnecessary to pay out the butt for a haircut, and for sixteen bucks I got a great cut today. In fact, my hairstylist did exactly what I wanted, something that stylists at more expensive places have not delivered. This hair salon sucks. Avoid this if you have extra few bucks and wants to have a good haircut. First, they charge $17.50 for the haircut but if you wish to get your hair dry, they charge $35.00 for blow dry. A total if $52.50 for a simple haircut done by a newby stupid styler. This black lady was very unprofessional, obviously she's not used in hair cutting. Cant cut the hair straight and insensitive to almost poke my mouth with the comb. Will never go back! Been there a few times for a blow out. The price is always different. More expensive then none commercial salons. Washed my hair without a towel around my neck no cape. My hair had curls in it after being blown so I asked if she could flat iron it. That would be xtra! Really why? This salon is very well managed and there are 4 good longterm stylists! It's very clean, friendly and much quicker than the more expensive salons. Whether you want a cut, waxing, color, highlights or styling for a special occasion, I'd recommend that you give them a try! read more

Just wanted a basic beard trim(which I was charged $30 for). Asked to just clean up the edges but what I walked out with was a beard much longer on one side than the other with areas that were not even touched. The areas that were cut were much shorter than I specified. Completely regret going here and will not return. read more

WORST haircut ever!!! Needed a short haircut as I have been wearing for years - showed photo as my guide. Wear glasses so cannot really see what is being done. When she finished, I have no hair left. I think the longest hair is about 1/4 inch. Did not expect this from a scissor cut. Shortest it ever was in the past was about an inch. Feel like my friends who have gone through chemo. Turned out to be a very expensive haircut since I now need to buy a wig for about a month before I have any hair. Cannot go to work like this until it grows in. I can deal with bad haircuts but not with NO hair. NO Stars should be an option. Spoke with manager - getting refund which will be applied to wig purchase. read more

You can't even get a haircut! I went online to put myself in the queue since I live 20 minutes away. The queue on the website said that I would get a haircut in 50 minutes, however, the appointment schedule on the same web page said I had a 6:30PM appointment. So I called the store at 5:00PM today when I got the conflicting info and asked, "When should I be there?" The woman who answered the phone said, "There are 3 people ahead of you , so you should be in in 50 minutes." I arrived at 5:35PM. The two hair stylists were assisting other customers. It was 10 minutes before anyone acknowledged my presence. The stylist who came forward said, "There are 3 people ahead of you so we can seat you in about 15 minutes... But wait, you have a 6:30PM appointment, you are very early. " I was explaining to hairstylist #1, that I had called and asked about timing when hairstylist #2, screamed from the back (while taking care of a customer)," I told you that I didn't know the website and that you should figure it out". So I figured it, out and I left. That is why this supercuts is getting no star. I guess that I must put 1 star up to post a review. read more

Go anywhere BUT supercuts in Peekskill !!!!!!!!!!! The manager is rude and distracted. She gets into personal conversations with her staff while cutting your hair and answers the phone and walks away for 5 minutes or more. When she does finally pay attention to you she does everything rough and rushed - like she has a train to catch or she's trying to set a Guinness record for fastest haircut. Dogs get better, softer, more attentive service at Petsmart. When she finishes roughing you up - she says..."does that feel better?" ummmm - NO!!!! The last straw was when after my cut I told her I wanted off the email list - she was completely rude about it and dismissive - i had left a $5 tip - and she looks at the $5 and says: "is this me? - let's take care of this first - then I can get you off email list." that's how she thanks you for a generous tip she didnt deserve. NEVER AGAIN!!!! This is a lousy place for a kids haircut. At least the staff that I dealt with has zero patience with kis (blond moron and overweight brunette) but I am sure there has to be a couple decent ones working there. I ended up contacting corporate and was called by the regional person and apologized to based on my experience. It was awful. Go elsewhere. Go to great clips in Somers instead. I went to this Salon after reading reviews from others but let me tell you the worst service you can think of and paying very high $42 for just a shampoo & a blow dryer.... The facility was not at all friendly...and they are overpriced for hair cut they charge you $15.95 and if you want shampoo it's extra $7 and if you want to blow dry that's another extra charge starts from $25 to $35 which they will tell u after you did your shampoo with them. After a blow dry lady tells me she is not able to do because I need a hair cut which I had a week ago! Now I feel I could have done at home which eventually I had to come and fix at home since I had to go for party that day!!! Please think twice to go there!!! read more

I called ahead and was ushered to the chair exactly on time, even tho' only one stylist was on duty. She gave me exactly the cut I requested. No, there was no shampooing because it was not needed having just washed my own hair - a spritzing with a water sprayer was fine and real time-efficient for busy me.
