Yes, but Marta fixed it RIGHT AWAY with some toner and I was looking brand new!!!! I was soooo HAPPY that she could fix it because I was so scared that my hair was already messed up so much. I brought my mother here like 3 years ago too and she LOVES it they always do such a beautiful job on her hair. She has course hair and I have very thin curly hair. John is a gem, and I'm so grateful my friend introduced me to him and this salon. I was nervous to…read morego this short with my hair, but not only is John clearly experienced, he knows how to communicate around it and its very easy to just want to shut up, trust him, and let him work. But if you need it, like I did, he'll communicate every step of the way, which he did for me and I appreciated it. He spoke about cutting hair, lines and shape, products, and seasonal changes, both poetically and intellectually, which is basically my love language. He took some of the photos I showed him and customized it exactly to my face shape, my desired level of maintenance, my aversion to products, etc. and the result was perfect. I never quite love how I look walking out of a salon, but I did this time. And days later, this cut is everything I hoped it would be. TLDR; If you're going to go short, John's the person to trust for the job. Tell him I sent you and you will get zero discount because he deserves every penny. I don't think I'll have anyone else cut my hair if I can help it. I forget the name of the gentleman who washed my hair, but if he wants to do that every morning for me, I'd be fine with that. I look forward, one day, to having Lydia do some massage work for me, because after talking to her about it, I trust she's as skilled in this as John is in cutting hair. Also, unrelated to the work, the salon's space is gorgeous and thoughtfully decorated. Lofty and airy, but cool and industrious. I hope they find ways to even just rent out the space for other things because it's too nice not to share it.
