This "Master colorist" with "41 years " experience is a joke. She not only did a terrible uneven, poorly placed foil job, she doesn't understand the basic chemistry of what she's doing. I initially reached out 4 days later to let her know i was not happy with the work. I sent her pictures and she accused me of doing something to my hair. It turned out the lighting was bad making the pictures appear even worse than it was. She didn't reply anymore. The next day I sent pictures taken outside in daylight and some with my hair washed and styled. I explained the previous pictures must have been due to the lighting. I requested a refund of the color portion. She didn't respond. So last night I called her out on her lack of knowledge and professionalism and filed a complaint with my credit card company to get my money back. I was going to let her keep the tip but not now.

She knew what products to use on me and how long to process my hair and the formula to use on my long hair.. however she left me under the dryer for an hour which should have been 15 minutes and she didn't even check on me the whole time under the dryer..needless to say I've lost 6 inches of hair and she kept blaming it on everything but the facts HER!! she did it and another client saw this as well and even vocalized her opinion because she was as shocked as myself* Kim is and was the BEST....and this woman's terrible I mean not even an apology as she brushed my hair and it just kept falling out which is a big deal especially to a woman. I'm totally DISGUSTED and I want to warn people b4 they put their hair in her hands she's not very personable and she obviously does not care and I'm devastated.. this place will go under with her in charge and with kim. Gone.

These range from stylists to waxers. Many of the professionals who rent lofts allow for online booking through the Salon Loft website. With COVID, the waiting area is closed. Customers are to text who their appointment is with, and that person will let them know when it is safe to enter. My appointment was with Stephanie Castrucci. Stephanie took time cutting my hair. On that she did a good job. I would give the cut 4 stars. I was more impressed with the cut than the highlights. ALL other places I have had my hair colored at have shown color swatches to confirm the color I am describing is what they have. This has been the case no matter the stylist I have seen for color. (Unless it is a repeat appointment, and they remember my color.) Stephanie got right to mixing, with no visual confirmation. Resulting color was more oragne than I would have liked. Color also didn't go all the way to the roots in most places. This made the color immediately look like the hair had alreay grown out for a few weeks. The color I give 2.5 stars. I averaged the stars out to 3.

When I mentioned that my appointment with my stylist…read morewasn't for another month and that my bangs were driving me insane, my friend raved about Bridget. So I gave her a call. She was very nice and was more than happy to work with my schedule. During my visit with her, she listened carefully to what I was asking for, asked questions in return to clarify, and went to work on my long mane. We had a very nice casual conversation while she cut my hair. She stated that it was a little intimidating cutting my hair, knowing who my normal stylist is. "He's a hard act to follow". I have to be honest and say that Bridget did a fantastic job. My hair might be long, but it's not easy to cut. This is the first time I have gone to someone, other than my stylist, and have been truly happy with the results. Bridget is knowledgeable, gives attention to detail, and overall, is a very nice person. Her shop is open by appointment only, no walk ins. And she is currently working on getting a credit card machine so she can accept them soon. Her shop is super cute, and easy to find.

What an overpriced, godawful salon! The management has no idea what it takes to run a successful…read moresalon, could care less about their clients. No people skills, all business, all money. I sat and listened to the conversations and unlike other salons I've been to here and in my native Chicago, where women tend to go to the same salon for years, here it's all superficial fluff. These people are as phony as a $3 bill. They don't want to know you; they just want your money. And they tend to be super conservative... The receptionist even tried to tell me how much to tip! The color was decent, but the cut was flat, no volume or bounce. Worse, when you try to tell them how you like to wear your hair they get pissed off! They walk on water in their minds. They do not care what you think or what you want. Their products are overpriced, but they never recommend them, anyway. Most stylists will suggest styling products to help you at home. Again, they don't care once you walk out of there. My stylist was full of herself, always bragging about what a great stylist she was. Thank God I found a better place that's only a few minutes further but well worth it. At Hair Forum, they stick you with whoever has the fewest appointments. (Wonder why). My current salon goes through the stylists' varied experience and prices and seeks to match you with someone who will work with you. It's perfect because it's a collaboration, not being stuck with a dictator.
