I'm guessing they were already clean freaks before corona virus as their chairs and interior build out is white. Friday afternoon and Monica started washing my hair and the stress of my week melted away with the lemongrass smell of the shampoo and the perfect combination of vigorous and gentle scalp massage as she cleansed my hair. She asked me how I wanted my hair to look. I said just a blow out will be fine, to which she took out her phone and showed me a gallery and said pick your style. One hour later, I walked out ready for the weekend!

The only reason I give them 4 stars is because their products and sometimes services can be a bit pricey, but with salons I feel like you get what you pay for, so I keep going back PROS: -Currently remodeled, very nice -A lot of the stylists and spa therapists are highly skilled and experienced -One of the only places that I know of that offers eye brow tinting, which I do religiously! -Convenient location -Schedules are very accommodating and they are very willing to work with you if you have to cancel -Friendly staff -You get some (only a bit, but it still counts) money off of products for buying other products and services (I think it has to accumulate) CONS: -Products are expensive, but I'm not sure how much control they have over that -The stylists costs are more expensive the more experienced they are (but I think that's typical for salons?) -Can be kind of noisy in the actual salon -Some stylists have limited availability

Today I had the worst hair appointment I have ever had in my life. I will never go to your salons…read moreagain. I will tell everyone I know how horrible you are. I had an appointment today at 9am with Anna at the Regis in Kenwood. All I needed was a retouch of color and flatiron. She got hair dye all over my face. Then her flat iron job was awful. She left my hair frizzy and not done. It was not straight. She left the roots of my hair curly and my hair had fly aways and mad static. I have never had such a horrible job in my life. She is the worst worker ever. I can't even say stylist because she is awful and had no accountability for her work. She acted as if it was great. She took no action to fix it nor did I get an apology. The worst thing is she didn't appoliguze and acted as if she did nothing wrong. That is the worst kind of person to have working for you. Just horrible. I am so upset to have had this experience. You should be ashamed of yourselves for such awful service and behavior. Upset at Christmas!!!!!

I am still unclear how asking for my long hair to be brought up to my shoulder ended up near my ear. And then when it looked terrible after being blown dry, she told it me "oh I haven't used the flat iron yet." Seriously? A bad cut is a bad cut. I told her to it needed to look better and she asked me how to fix it - again... Seriously? I don't cut hair... after a little layering it was slightly improved, but now I am relegated to a pony tail until I get another hair cut (elsewhere obviously) to fix it. I just moved, and usually have had good experiences for a hair cut on- the-go at Regis, but this was pathetic. I guess I should have used Yelp to help me find my new Salon...

I reached out to Love That Hair and the owner answered right away. She said someone would contact me within an hour with instructions on an appointment. Latoria texted me and informed she could squeeze me in the following morning. After exchanging texts and pictures of my hair I was set to visit. With everything going on regarding COVID 19, the salon had steps in place to ensure clients are safe. They checked my temperature upon arrival and everyone kept masks on entire time while in salon. Latoria assessed my hair needs and did a great job of cutting my hair as requested. When washing and conditioning my hair she applied great pressure and massaged my scalp. I opted for simple braids as pictured, for my style. The atmosphere in this salon was very welcoming and both ladies have a positive and light demeanor. I observed another client coming in off the streets to enquire about services and she was given an appointment for later. I'll definitely return when in the area.
