I just came out of my facial with Meghan. I've always wanted to get a facial but was too nervous to do it. Now that I've done it, I wish I had started earlier. But I'm so glad my first time was with Meghan. She seriously is the sweetest person I've ever met. She was so gentle and really helped me feel relaxed which is not easy for me!! I love that she walked me through her process before starting and as she went along. I booked for an hour and it was the most relaxing hour of my life. She gave amazing scalp and shoulder massages throughout and she has the perfect pressure. The whole process just makes you feel so pampered and relaxed. I think we could all use some pampering with how hectic life can be. We did a jelly mask and it felt so amazing on my skin. Meghan told me what to expect after and recommended products. I stumbled upon this salon through a friend of a friend. I noticed they were asking for vivid model calls - since I have vivid hair I took the time to send over an email - I then booked an appointment. The booking process was very easy - they do require a deposit for services over $200 but the deposit goes to the service so you are kind of saving yourself cash when booking ahead! I was booked with Madison King - she was phenomenal from the PREconsultation email to actually doing my hair - she let me know what she was doing every step of the way! Since I was booked for a model call I wasn't expecting to get to pick my colors but I love how I was given a choice - I told her blue and sea green and what I ended up with is incredible! Madison is so talented for being only 21 and I will definitely be back for another service in the future even with this salon being over 45 minutes from me - it is worth the drive! read more

Excellent customer service. AND excellent work. They take their time to listen and they take their time to do the job. I arrived early a few minutes and I observed this to be true for all the customers that were there. They are careful to sanitize everything and all is super clean. It's too bad this place is but in my hometown. Highly recommend it. read more

This is a tribute to anyone who asks for what they want, hears the stylist say they can deliver it, then watches in the chair as things go spectacularly badly... then the owner offers to fix it but ghosts you instead. I came with Pinterest pics and some from my own previous cuts. I said some techniques that did not work for me and discussed specific techniques I wanted, like point cutting. The stylist said she could do it, then spent the majority of the appointment focusing (poorly) on the back of my head. I had to *ask her to cut my bangs; she approached that with the skill level of an 80s mom with her kid and a pair of household shears. It's the worst cut I've ever received. There are gaps and disconnects, and nothing lays right, regardless of product, styling methods, etc. I've worn my hair my whole life. So when I say I embrace its natural texture, it's legit. But this cut was bad enough for me to reach out to the salon with feedback. The owner offered an adjustment cut. I asked a couple times if anyone on the team knows how to point cut, and I got crickets for an answer. Didn't have the integrity to admit that's not in their repertoire. If either of these people had admitted it wasn't a skill they had, I would have wished them well and left; they both seem nice enough. But honesty about skill counts for a lot -- including whether your hair appointment turns out successful. If it needs saying, I won't return, and I won't recommend. read more

I have scheduled appointments with Madison and she has canceled multiple times. I had an urgent need to get my hair done and I was happy that she had an opening and then she canceled. I think this is unprofessional considering she did it the day before. I had to scurry around and try to find someone else which was inconvenient for me. Unfortunately I need to update my review. I saw Kristin a few more times but each was a bit more disappointing. She was running late to one appointment and didn't remember me at all when she finally arrived. She actually suggested I had the wrong salon when she couldn't find any notes from my previous appointment before finding them. At my next appointment she commented on my thinning hair (due to having hormonal issues) which was honestly humiliating. I should have spoken up a while back but instead chose to change locations. I saw Kelsey who was phenomenal, but when the Centerville salon closed I couldn't justify continuing to travel to Lebanon. read more

Love Salon Noir!! Beautiful salon that is relaxing. The color scheme is black & white. The building is in the historic main street area of Lebanon, right next to several unique shops. They have cruelty free skin & hair products. Love the vitamin C serum. Chelsea does my hair. She does an awesome job and is fun to chat with. I was so overdue for a haircut, but my previous stylist stopped doing hair and I was super reticent about finding someone new that could tame my crazy thick hair into the choppy bob I love. Salon Noir located in Lebanon Ohio is the most disorganized, unfriendly salon I have visited in most of my adult life. They actually started to "require" a credit card in advance of appointments and thought they could get away with that. They keep a negative file on you if you wake up sick and can't make your appointment scheduled in 8 hours. All the while explaining that I did not want to make anyone else in the salon sick. At the same time their stylists have cancelled my appointment three times in the past year due to "childcare emergencies". Two of those times, as I was walking out the door to come to my appointment. The first time they called off I was actually in their parking lot. I get it, emergencies come up, obviously however they don't get it. Warren County has 20 salons to choose from and this Salon needs to be put on the unfriendly/disorganized list. read more

I made an appt with Allie today and am SO glad I did! Not only did she absolutely nail my cut and balayage- she was such a kind, down to earth and enjoyable person to chat with through the process. I really wanted to like this salon. I used to go to the salon that was here before Salon Noir (Lucid) and was always very impressed at how good it was as well as affordable. I've been getting my hair done elsewhere since Lucid shut down but decided to go to Salon Noir after hearing many of the same people still worked there, hoping it would have the same affordable pricing. I will say what I did like, and why I am rating it 3 stars, was the feel of the salon, the decor, and my stylists people skills. She definitely was easy to talk to and I felt comfortable the whole time I was there. Additionally, it was much more affordable than where I have been going, despite me being there for 5 hours to get a full foil treatment. My frustration lies completely in the service I was provided and nothing else. Like I said I really enjoyed talking to my hairdresser and thought she understood what I was asking for. I provided multiple reference pictures, including ones of me with what I wanted done. The result was many shades darker than what I asked for and arguably looked even darker than what my hair looked like before I got there. Like I said, I was there for 5 hours and felt like there was quality time spent doing my hair so I'm not sure where the miscommunication was. I do take responsibility for not saying something in the moment but I did not feel like there was any correcting it seeing as I will now have to wait to dye my hair again. And even though I was impressed with the pricing, I probably am going to end up spending more money after I go somewhere else to correct this. Like I said, I really wanted to like this salon but sadly, it does seem like it's worth the money (and the time!) to go somewhere else. read more
