TERRIBLE PLACE Took my 9 yr old for hair cut , the older gray haired lady asked me for a photo reference I pointed at the picture on the wall (a comb over ) She said she didn't know what my sons hair would look like after that What do you mean ? You're telling me you cut hair for a living and don't know how my son's hair will turn out ? It's a simple cut and he gets it done every time every where else . Mid cut she told me she didn't know what lengths to use .. I stopped her after she had already started cutting because she sounded so clueless , asking ME what size clipper to use . Like , I don't cut hair , I don't do this for a living , WHY ARE YOU ASKING ME !!??? I was mind blown how clueless she sounded . I get my haircut every two weeks because for me there is nothing better than a fresh cut for some self-care. If you were to ask me before moving to Lompoc if I would ever get my hair cut at a Supercuts I would promptly say heck no my friend. Absolutely not. But there weren't many affordable hair cuts around town, so I gave this place a try. Not only did they end up having a killer deal where I pay a monthly $17.99 for unlimited haircuts, I ended up finding the best hair stylist in town, Tesla. She does a great job on my hair, and when she isn't available, Ruth also does a fantastic job as well. I never thought I would find people I would trust with my hair at Supercuts but they are here, and they are awesome. If you're not a fan of the monthly deal, their haircuts are about $25 and they do have a military and senior discount. They are currently hiring as well! read more

I stopped in on Wednesday evening, the place was completely empty. The stylist said she couldn't cut my hair because she was waiting for customers???? I was a paying customer right there ready for a haircut, she refused. I was parked in front of the store on google trying to find another place to get a haircut and 20 minutes later she was still standing there with a blank look on her face. It's sad that in this economy the stylist are lazy and don't want to work, there're definitely costing this location money. read more

Called to get an appointment and manager Tesla scheduled me with Ruth for a couple of hours later on a Monday afternoon. Ruth greeted me warmly and looked at the photo of the haircut I wanted. She gave me a wonderful shampoo, great haircut and blow dried & styled my hair to look exactly like the photo. Very rude staff. Like ok I understand I'm getting there 30 minutes before you close. But it's really confusing when sometimes they have got me in around the same time I came in at this particular time .. And to tell me with the biggest attitude, high pitch voice and bulging eyes that I came in too late and that I should call the next day but that I'm also taking the same chance as I was In that moment of getting shut down for a damn simple wax... because they might be booked... so I ask her to check if she's booked. And says her system is Locked ... so weird.. but ok This isn't the first time this one staff member or manager has been rude. There's a couple there as far as I've experienced with poor customer service. If you don't like working there that late then let your higher superior know that instead of being unhappy and rude as hell to the customers. My husband went out to get his haircut last weekend. He reserved a time online and he went out to his appt. When he came back home, I realized the hair stylist didn't even finish his hair cut! Below his ears was buzzed off like usual, but at the top (which is usually just a little bit longer) was still 3 in long on one side! He told me the hair stylist kept going back and forth to answer phone calls, but inside it wasn't that busy. We were heading out of the house to a party so he didn't have time to go back. The two stylists working were very obvious about the fact that they were busy this day and had no patience for anyone. They didn't really bother to say hi and didn't acknowledge my 7yo daughter at all (it was an appt for her), even when she said hi or goodbye or gave the stylist a tip straight in her hand. Both times that I've gone in here they have terrible attitudes and even when I try to describe or show pictures of what we want, they ask for exact stylist-type terminology. When I went in September, I literally left crying because the stylist was so mean. She was also there today, but was not the one who cut my daughter's hair. We are seriously never going back again. Those two women either hate their jobs or hate serving customers. Either way, they are in the wrong field. I was so frustrated after my daughter's haircut because they didn't even touch the front part of her hair (just brushed it instead of trimming). Definitely a wasted $23+$5 tip. I went to another stylist named Zoe in Vandenberg Village, and she not only fixed the errors of the Supercuts bad cut (my kid had 2 weird layers, no smoothing), she actually treated us like friends. Schedule an appointment for 330 two hours prior. When I got there at 330 they told me it would be an additional 30-45 minute wait. When I told them I have an appointment they said that they hadn't even gotten to the 3:00 appointments yet. They suggested I come back another day as they still had six people in front of me. Razor jockeys. If you need a standard military hair cut, this place is FINE. On a men's haircut, I asked the attendant to thin out my hair and leave 2 - 3 inches on the sides and back. She pulled the razor & asked me what size I wanted. I stupidly said, "I usually get a scissor cut, please use the biggest size you have, if I need it shorter we can take it from there right?"... As soon as she buzzed off the temple, I exclaimed "that's much shorter than what I anticipated." She finished the cut and knew I was disappointed. She offered to give me the cut for free. Came here for years. They were very quick and helpful and walk-in were welcome. Now, I walk in at 10am with one person waiting. I have to come an hour and half later because they have to leave a gap for the app customers and light on staff. I was away for a year and this would never happen the three years I was going there. Good service, but the price caught me off guard. The price board states Color for Men and Women $25 and up. I have very short hair and expected to be charged in the lower spectrum. I was charged $60. In the past, a cut was included in a color appointment, but today I got hit with another $17.50. When I questioned the cost, I was told women's color STARTS AT $50! I usually go to the supercuts in santa maria but recently moved to lompoc so decided to try it out, plus my boyfriend went here and said everyone was nice. The atmosphere was pleasant and the wait was only like 20 mins for a walk in. However, when I was called up my stylist, this hispanic lady whose name I think was Lourdes or something was rude when she seated me and when I stated I wanted a deep conditioning in addition to my cut she gave me even more attitude and did a very fast and messy wash, water all over my face and top, didn't even bother to put the smock on me. She made comments about my hair that were not nice and was just trying to rush through me to get to the next client. Overall her attitude and rudeness really turned me off and I will most likely not return to this salon again, or at least check to see if she is working before. read more
