Fantastic hair shop! I stopped by for a quick tune-up on my fade, so I could get back into work-mode in SF. Staff here were very professional and kind. The shop is also super kid-friendly, and sensitive to kids with special needs. Fast service, chill vibes, 5 stars all around. My stylist was an absolute legend with the buzzer and gave me an awesome zero fade. We will definitely be back on our next trip. Thank you very much! read more

I called ahead to ask if they offer detangling service because a small section of my bleached hair became severely matted after swimming in both the ocean and chlorinated pool and despite trying to detangle it myself with my own products, I couldn't get the knots out. The woman I spoke with told me they could fit me in that same day at 5:30 p.m. and explained that the charge would be $35 per 30 minutes. When I arrived, it turned out she was the stylist who helped me. She patiently worked through the matting before closing time at 7:00 p.m. and was able to save my long hair with relatively little damage or cutting. The only hair that needed to be cut were two small rope-like knots to help separate them. I was incredibly grateful for her patience, skill, and care. Mahalo to Queara (Kiara) for taking the time to help me. I highly recommend her to anyone needing a stylist who is both knowledgeable and compassionate. read more

I was kinda hesitant getting a fade cut with all the other reviewers complaining about wait time like they don't understand nowadays businesses are severely short staffed and most places close before it even hits 6PM Leana and her staff provided a wonderful friendly environment to all of its customers it's honestly the best and most cleaned well mattered salon/barber that I ever went to a big thank you for your service and gratitude read more

I had an appointment for 6 o'clock and I was 15 minutes late and they didn't even look me in the eye. They just said sorry it's too late. When they close at 7. close at 630 if you can't cut hair in less than 45 min especially a taper for men. read more

Had an appointment @ 1:30pm and arrived at 1:20pm. At 1:25pm a guy "walked in" and requested a hair cut and the clerk asked if he had an appointment and he said "no". She then accepted him and sat him down for a haircut. I was watching the whole thing thinking I have an appointment and thought I was going to get started on my hair cut. Didn't get my haircut until the person who walked in finished after about 20 minutes later. Was upset because I was ignored and had to wait after my appointment time which I arrived early for it. Disappointed and never going back there again as the staff has an attitude. read more

Went in for a haircut for my sibling. Andy, Tracy both don't know what and how to organize their haircuts all Andy does is stand around and makes like he is busy. We waited for 1 hour for haircut and he just stood around and did nothing. Isaiah was very helpful and was fully attentional and worked on haircuts while Andy and Tracy did nothing but sweep the floor together. Like Andy holding the dust pan and Tracy sweeping???! Sweeping hair while everyone is waiting must be a 2 man job... We canceled the appointment and was also told by Isaiah that Andy had left early for a "Personal Issue" and needed to get on a flight, But why leave your name up for a 1:30 PM appointment if you can't even do it? Multiple people also walked out angry and were unsatisfied by the customer service. If you wanna wait 2 hours for a haircut and treated like you're invisible go here. read more

Not coming back here again. Had my sons haircut today and cut is crooked. His hair looked better prior to the walk in. Please do better! Especially if kids haircut is almost the same amount as adults. read more

Nice haircuts, but lousy process to get a haircut. No APPOINTMENTS AT THIS LOCATION!!!! You call at 8am same day for a haircut, they don't answer phone until they feel like it! My call was not answered till 8:25 am. BRING BACK APPOINTMENTS FOR THIS LOCATION, PLEASE. read more

I love this place! Talented stylists, fun vibes, good music. Can get busy but definitely worth it.

I usually get a great haircut there. I liked it. They still have senior discounts on Tuesdays, or at least they did the last time I was there. read more

I had an appointment for my 4 year old son at 130pm today with the next available person. Because we were in the area, we decided to eat lunch at pandas. We ended up finishing around 1ish. So we decided to sit in Supercuts. We waited patiently. Andy, Tracey & Isaiah were the there cutting hair.. Once Isaiah was finished he immediately walked to the back. Then Andy finished & took the guy that was sitting. The same thing with Tracey. 115pm came & Andy was just finishing up that person. So I told my son that he'll be up next.. Once Andy was done, he swept the floor & walked to the back. Not telling us nothing. Mind you we weren't even acknowledge when we entered the store. 120 came & I texted my husband that Andy was walking the store doing absolutely shit. His station was already clean & he's like going back & forth to it. Then I over heard Tracey tell him that he's leaving soon.. Andy mentions about a 130pm appointment and blah blah blah then walks right to the back again. Tracey is almost done with that person she's with & it's about 125pm. My husband walks into the store & we're just watching this clown Andy walking around. Another guy walks in & Andy says, "she'll be right with you". 130pm comes & I'm like okay, are they gonna take my son now. Still nothing. Tracey is literally sweeping hair & Andy comes & hold the dustpan. I tell my husband I guess it's a 2 man job to hold the dustpan & sweep. It was crazy. I was mind blown from these people. Tracey then called the guy that came in after us. & that's when I said forget this piece of shit place. My son actually had the patience to wait & they did this to him. Such a shame. Before we walked out, I told Tracey to cancel my appointment because 130 is 130. & she just looked at me, not giving one shit. It was like they were happy that we left. On the other hand, I've heard that ANDY HAD LEFT WORK EARLY BECAUSE HE HAD PERSONAL FAMILY PROBLEMS & HAD TO CATCH A FLIGHT. this is coming from Isaiah. & that he had a bad day. You don't fucken go into to work & leave your customers hanging because your dumb ass is having personal family issues. I honestly think that place should shut down. Or the workers there just need to leave. That place has never had anyone nice working there. they are all LAZY. I hope this is addressed to them. read more

Honestly, I wasn't super impressed with the greeting when I walked in. I did have a 1 pm appointment and arrived 15 minutes early. She could have been nicer but she seemed to warm up a bit. Twas what it was. The bro who cut my hair and I am so sorry I didn't get his name for this review. This man has talent and skill...the perfect combination if you are a hairdresser (I would rather rather reference him as a "hair designer". This dude, I hope, is making a lot of $$$$$$$$ because he is very, very good at what he does. Thank You bro for making me look good...again, lol (vanity, vanity, vanity). I've been getting my hair cut here for years! They are always quick friendly and cut my hair perfect everytime!

Excellent. Michelle R. has cut my hair and my wife's hair for years and she always gets it just right. We love Michelle's magic scissors. I booked my appointment online, the store is clean and the staffs are friendly. read more

I really like my haircut from Clare! I have done nothing nice to my hair for just about the last 6 months. Due to the Virus, I have working from home, and not really leaving at all. So my poor hair has been ONLY going straight up in a bun! I have gone to Supercuts all over, and love a quick cut. I have not gone to the Lihue location before, so this was my first time. I booked a same day appointment using the Supercuts website. Clare took me in a few min early which was nice. She was very clean and sanitized the entire area, even offering me hand sanitizer. Everyone in the shop was wearing masks. It seemed to be extremely clean and sanitary. She was very nice and polite. She did an excellent cut and it was exactly what I was looking for. I will definitely be back again for another haircut from her. read more

Well I walked in and there was only one person there on her phone. I asked if I could get a cut and she said she was too busy. Clearly didn't want to work. read more

Told the lady cutting my partners hair that we want it equal length on top and sides, just so he doesn't look like an egg. She listened but didn't do a thing as we requested. She didn't even know how to cut hair with scissors. Later said I already cut your hair too short on back, so now I have to cut it on side to blend! Seriously read more

I used to go to the Kapaa shop until they closed. So this is my first time at the Lihue shop. My husband told me to make a reservation online and I did so. I got there alittle early and the place was empty. No customers and I got worried as I was the only one there. I'm thinking OMG is this place that bad? I previously checked the reviews on Yelp. But later patrons started to trickle in. I got sat promptly. The stylist (Clare) I got didn't seem friendly, I'm thinking...um ok. But she gave me a good cut and did what I asked. So I was happy. I just needed a haircut, but she didn't blow dry my wet hair at the end so I left the shop with wet hair. She just said "ok, you're done" and removed the cape. After the transaction she gave me the receipt and said "here you go, thanks". No smile or friendliness. Um, I don't know if I'll be back. read more

Well don't bother making a reservation online. Waited 30 minutes and just walked out. Of course I was ignored the entire time. Not acknowledged except when I walked in the door. Well I actually wasn't acknowledged then. Only after I set down after waiting at the door for a few minutes. Poor service! Maybe it was just a bad day for them! Moving on! read more

Look, I get it. You've had a long day, you just want to go home. It's really poor business practice to close and lock your doors early when your hours of operation are posted and it says you're open until 6PM. Maybe I might feel differently if this were a locally owned business, however, this is a national chain. I think what makes it worse is when you have two customers looking in at 545PM and you ignore them like they're not there. Shame on you, Supercuts Hokulei! read more

Dropped by here on my way home to Oahu. I had a few hours before my flight and decided to check out the new outlet mall in Lihue. Just so happened the Supercuts was open and I really needed a cut so I stopped by. This was around 1pm so it wasn't that busy and I just waited for about 5 min before it was my turn. The stylist was sweet and did a good job on my haircut. I didn't get her name but she was petite and wore glasses. There were two other stylists that day. They just opened in the summer so the place in new and clean. The whole experience took about 15 min and I have no complaints. read more

This is the second time I have gotten my hair done at Supercuts. First time I went on my birthday, maybe 2 years ago. Was told 1/2 hour wait, I believe I waited an 1 1/2 hours, seeing men come in and out, don't know if that employee only did men's hair. This time I walked in 15 minutes early, nice and friendly workers, in 5 minutes I was seated and getting my hair trimmed. What a difference it was. I can see myself going back. read more

I came here on a Sunday, walked in and I was the only person in the place. They said I needed an appointment which you couldn't book online that day. Three stylists were there with empty seats so I said I would wait. 30 minutes went by and not a single person showed for appointments. I asked again if I could be seated and was rejected again. My hair isn't a difficult or long process. I understand the COVID situation, but you're turning away money. I mentioned to them I'd pay an extra $20 on the tip and was welcomed with open arms. Instantly I could be seated. I walked out and went to Regis Salon. read more

You need an appointment which seemed odd for a super cuts. The lady said they normally do walk ins but was booked up for the rest of the day. I walked outside and took a call for 10 minutes. No one walked in. They were just talking amongst the employees with no one inside. Sounds like they just don't care unfortunately. Oh well, there are other places in town. UPDATE: I gave this place another shot and I'm glad that I did. Brooke did an amazing job and they really seem to have turned this place around. I will be back. Thanks guys! read more

Terrible!! Wow so terrible! I went today at 5pm (they close at 6pm) and I was turned away one full hour before they closed because they were "too busy" to take me. No one was in there waiting and it appeared that they could have taken me right away... But the rude staff told me "we are busy" - but all the staff was doing was texting on their phones. I couldn't believe how rude they were! They had several large signs outside that said "OPEN" yet they wouldn't take me. I just wanted a quick buzz cut but they refused to serve me. I hate to give a one star review but Super cuts earned it. I walked in yesterday around 4:30 and they don't close till 6:00. I was turned away saying they had too many people waiting in front of me. I saw maybe 2 people waiting and only 2 people cutting hair. This is a brand new location in the Hokulei village, I would expect that a new business would want to offer excellent service to entice customers to come back and spend their hard earned money here. I guess not. I went over to Mastercuts and got a haircut right away... So much for Super.... read more

Seriously I decided to cut my hair at this place because I got it done last year with Brooke cutting my hair and it was done so well. But this time this other lady cut my hair and my "bangs" now look like a bowl cut. I can't even call it bangs because she literally took half of my front hair and just chopped it off. Now I have to put up my bangs for months until it is grown enough to call it bangs. It will seriously haunt me every time I wake up in the morning and look in the mirror! read more

Been here twice. Have a high end hair stylist that I have gone to back home in So. Cal. for twenty years, but could not find anyone on the island. I finally needed a cut so bad, I nervously decided to give Super Cuts a try. Man, the two stylists have given me solid cuts, and they have been friendly and professional as well. Of course, you cannot beat the prices, but that is the one thing that I anticipated. It is the quality that will keep me coming back. After a lifetime of thinking discount haircutters were below me, I am pretty blown away that I am very happy with Super Cuts. read more
