A decent haircut at a reasonable price without pleasantries. No "how are you?" I had to ask for her name, no chitchat, no thanks for the 20% tip. Showed her a photo of my hair and its layering when short. Said I wanted it cut to a length in between photo and when I walked in but preserve layers. Very abrupt. Just wanted to be told how long in the back. When it came out looking more like a helmet than layers, I tried to explain that I had wanted more movement in it, more of a tousled look, more accenting the face. She then asked me twice if I wanted "texture." Ok, texture. In the end, it was ok, and she didn't complain about tweaking it. read more

I've been going to this one since high school. It is located on a busy road however I have never had any issues getting in and out of it. Parking and such can be a bit of a pain due to the drive-though for Dunkin's. The staff is friendly and has suggested some great ideas and also has been very kind to my mother when I bring her in for a haircut. I do recommend making an appointment or get there when they first open as they almost always are packed. They have hair care products on-site which can be a plus. Hot towel finishes along with gel upon request. You can pay a bit more to get a shampoo. If you are in the area and want a good cut stop in and make a appointment lol. The absolute most ridiculous experience we've ever had -- lousy, obnoxious customer service by one of their associates -- so bad we had to speak with the manager who then gave us the owner's name so we can call them to report her. This seems to be the highest rated Supercuts locally and it's very clear why! Fantastic staff who is friendly and gave me a wonderful haircut. Their covid-19 precautions were very good. I felt safe the whole time and really can't think of anything they could have done better. After work on Friday 03/31/2023 I stopped at SuperCuts on Route 1 in Falmouth, Maine for a haircut. I was the last customer of the day. Cat cut my hair. We had a good time while she cut, chatting away about our changing hair. We continued our chat as we headed to the counter so I could pay and after I was done paying. I told her about learning to control my acne with a high water intake and using a tiny dab of olive oil and water as a moisturizer; she told me about the CeraVe skin Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum that she uses that she thinks is excellent. We were having such a good time conversing that I forgot my purse on the counter. (This is rare for me.) Late at night I discovered it was missing and realized that I'd left it at the salon. This morning I drove to the salon. I told the receptionist that I'd been the last customer of the day and I'd accidently left my purse. Happily Cat was working today. She told the receptionist that she'd put it in the vault downstairs when she saw that I'd left without it. The young receptionist quickly went downstairs and retrieved it. I was so relieved - like nearly every woman, my life is in my purse - my driver's license, my credit and debit cards, and more. The thought of having to replace my ID and cards was grim. NEGATIVE. AVOID THIS PLACE. PLUS STAFF ISN'T VERY NICE or ACCOMMODATING. Wife came home from Supercuts upset and unhappy AND with wet hair. Staff rushed wife out of the chair with wet hair because they had other customers they were trying to squeeze in. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told that they were all managers. (That may be their first problem). The person I spoke to refused to apologize, refused to even admit the possibility of any wrongdoing on their part. Refused to refund any of the money. I am quite sure my wife wanted her hair dried. Duh. At Supercuts, you get what they want to give you--not what you PAY for. And they take your money for services like DRYING YOUR HAIR which they arbitrarily withhold depending how many people are waiting. Nice, eh? Found that stylists don't listen. Went here a few times and stylist always overcut and don't have the technique to cut modern men's haircuts. The last time I went I asked for a 2 on the sides got a 1 but I still think it was a 0. You could see skin. I have thick hair on the top and had to have it almost all cut off to a crew cut to make it look decent. The stylist had no idea how to fix or blend her mistake. I was offered a whole dollar off my cut. I was so embarrassed for them. I had to ware a hat for a month. Never will I set foot here again or any of there establishments. I showed everyone the results of the cut they could not believe I was even charged for it read more

Went in for a shampoo and cut on a busy Friday afternoon. I was told that the wait would be 20 minutes but it was closer to 40 minutes but I had nowhere to be so it was fine. This place seems to be a dead zone for Internet so I was unable to surf the web while I waited so that was a bit of a bummer. The girls smiled and apologized for the wait several times. Since my wait was so long I did notice that twice as many men frequent this place than do women and I wonder if women tend to go to classier, more expensive places. The girl who did my hair was Marian. The shampoo felt great (as it always does) and she asked me what I was looking for. She did a great job and really listened to my specifications. $24.99 for shampoo, cut and blow dry (which takes FOREVER on me) was incredibly reasonable and I will come again! read more

I have officially gave up on supercuts today. In my 2.5 years of living in falmouth maine I've tryed multiple barber shops around town. I've probably gone to this supercuts about 6 times and this will be my very last. The first few times I was happy with my haircut. (I am a boy and I used to have some-what long curly hair) around my 3rd time coming here I was scalped. I told specific instructions, however, she continued to take hair cutter and shave off my hair. I told the lady This Was Not What I Told You. I looked out the window to see if there was one of those army recruiting signs saying "WE WANT YOU" but there wasn't, so I couldn't be joining the army. This same incident happened again after I put my trust in supercuts after some ptsd and I lost it. They took the razor and shaved my hair straight down the middle when I asked them to take about 3/4" off the top and she continued to cut off about 1 1/2" off my 2" hair. If you think about going here, really think about it first; are you ready to join the army? Cause I wasn't. I recommend primp hair salon across the street for men and women even though its a little more expensive you actually save money in the long run with all those therapy lessons after a good scalping. read more
