Miranna or whatever the heck her name is, she was really rude! I went in for a hair cut this afternoon and waited about 40 minutes. I saw many people ahead me and should've listened to my gut when Miranna Yue called my name and I felt like saying, "uh, let me wait for the young guy or the other Asian lady." Instead, I was being my usual polite self, too polite to be assertive and I paid for it.
She was courteous at first, but very curt from the start. She put me in the chair without cleaning off all the last person's (white) hairs (eww!) and then she put the hair robe thing on me and it was also not completely shaken/cleaned off. Ugh. I should've stood up and complained and switch stylists by then.
She asks me what cut I wanted and I said I usually get the A-line cut for the summer (and that's what I got at Great Clips about 3 months ago and the lady there did a great job), but I wanted it shorter this time since it's sooo hot and my hair is sooo thick. I would've gone back to Great Clips except Supercuts had a coupon.
So I explained that I want it short in the back and longer in the front. She whips out the clipper and used size 4 clipper on the back and then started going around with the scissors. She cuts very sloppily and was just overall a very rough around the edges person. I kept thinking, OMG, I should've gone with the young guy who was very meticulous and took a long time on each person, or the other Asian lady who was just telling a client she's been at this same Supercuts for 11 years at the same station in fact (and people request her specifically). So Miranna gets close to finishing and she asks me what I want done with the back where the hair toward my neckline is still undone. I was like, I don't know, just gradual transition to a natural look. She asks me, "do you want it square shape?" and I was thinking, "What the heck do you mean?" So I said, "well, square shape vs. what other shape? What are my options?" She goes, "tell me what you want?" and I go, "What are my options?" We go back and forth like this a couple more times because she obviously didn't know how to explain herself to a customer and finally, she actually got EXASPERATED with *me* and said, "You still don't understand!!!" And I was thinking, wow, you have got to be kidding me, I am not putting up with this crap. So I just said, ok, just shave it to make it clean and shapely. The other stylists actually turned toward her to see what the he11 was going on!
At this point, I tell her that my mom knows how to cut hair and I wanted her to use the layering scissors to thin out my hair some more. She get all defensive and says, "Why don't you get your mom to cut your hair then?" And I said, "My mom doesn't do this for a living and she doesn't always have the energy to cut my hair." In retrospect, I should've said, "I'm here now, just do your job! It's none of your business why my mom doesn't cut my hair, be glad for the business I'm giving you!" But she complied and took out the thinning sheers now that she realized I know what I'm looking for and I know how hair cuts should go.
Anyhow, she finished and I was like, "ok, that's fine." I just wanted to get out of there. She got $0 tip and report her EXTREMELY POOR customer service. She heard me ask the receptionist for the name of the other Asian woman stylist, Jennifer.
I'm either never coming back to this Supercuts or I'll go with Jennifer or that Asian guy, in fact, anyone is better than this Miranna woman. Can't believe people still lets her cut their hair.
Results = B- not the worse haircut I've ever had, have actually had some compliments, but I see lots of uneven places and when my mom sees it, she's going to have a field day. (according to my husband who's like, "what happened to your hair?! Who destroyed you?)
