Lynn, tested my hair before feeling comfortable doing it, being honest if it was not recommended, even the test strand was with care & time. With two options, a traditional perm & healthier option. Since I have long hair and wanted spiral coily hair, this took five hours, BUT, Lynn cared for every individual strand! She genuinely took her time grabbing and perfecting every strand. It looked so natural and so bouncy! It felt like such a personal experience, I felt cared for and I do not believe I would've gotten the same treatment elsewhere given my long previously dyed hair. I did research for a few years before landing on Lynn, I'm so happy I did! She even let me go with fruit for the road. Shes so kind and accommodating. She's so precious!!!!

Tina no longer works here. I goto Mindy now. Who cuts my hair perfectly in the faded Asian hair…read morethat sticks up like a microphone. Sounds funny, but eh, at least I don't have the mushroom top head look. My thick hair and the cut I want is not an easy hair cut to do. The description sounds funny, but with gel it's a clean military look or akin to school kids going to grade school. Not my thing but, the maturity aura can be fixed with longer hair on top. Believe the best way to say is it that I have a heart shaped face. That means the top of my hair should look like an egg to my preference. The haircut I want isn't for the faint. Mess up and you cannot fix it. It's why most fades on my hair type sticks out and is not flat on the sides like a flat top. Once Mindy understood I was willing to take the risk, I was rewarded in something that many hairdressers cannot cut and or is willing to do. Which is to fade free hand, then rat tail comb fade the edges on top with a clipper and texture with scissors. Mind you I watched a long time before giving her the go ahead to take the risk. Sounds a lot of work right? Hair dressers will complain doing this type of cut. It's a lot of work, will take time. Mindy does this for me. And for that I tip well. To be fair, I get my hair cut once a month. But it's usually the best way to learn as the hair has grown out and everything needs to be redone again. Note. Tip what you can, I usually tip hourly wage max to half. Mindy gets more, that's how much I like the cut. 15 to 25 percent minimum wage is a good tip. That being said Mindy takes time, is patient, and remembers you. Everything you would want in a hairdresser. I really should come every two weeks but I got things to do. Mindy does textbook style hair cutting. Which doesn't work with my hair cause you don't really expect an Asian with an Afro like hair type, thick, and straight. Takes time to learn cultured hair types. My hair is a rarity. Mindy learned quickly how to cut and tame it. Qualities of a true hair dresser. Note. I got my hair cut by Lynn too. She's good, but she's busy and I believe she understands my haircut and hair is annoying to do. The guy and new girl are good too. Just a preference and patience to be had.

I called Friday for two Saturday haircut appointments and they scheduled me right away. I don't think they have a website or socials so just give them a call to schedule. We showed up and waited a couple minutes for them to finish their previous appointments, it was really busy! There's about 6 chairs for those to wait in, and 6 stations where they were cutting hair. I was seated with Angie, showed her an inspo picture and she gave me exactly what I wanted, a trim and quick style. After seeing the final results, due to my hair type she recommended trying a new style/cut and I was in the mood to try something new so she went out of her way to re-cut and style my hair. She showed me two styling options and was very patient even though she basically had to redo my hair. She said they also do pre-event styling so if you have an event where you want your hair to look a little nicer, you can schedule with them starting at $45+. But I left feeling confident and ready to go out even just with the cut I received In total we paid $65 for two haircuts (no washing, just trim and styling) which is a steal in my opinion! Hers was pretty simple, I just wanted the dead ends, cut off and the man who cut her hair did an excellent job. I told the woman cutting my hair, I can't remember her name, that I wanted just half an inch off the length and I wanted a blunt cut. She asked me if I wanted face framing layers. So layers just around my chin. I told her that would be fine. She then asked if I wanted layers around the rest of my hair. I reiterated that no, I want a blunt cut and I want it to be all the same length. I only want half an inch off my hair. She turned my chair away from the mirror, so I could keep an eye on my daughter, which was fine. Unfortunately, it also meant that I couldn't really see what she was doing. I did see enough to know that she was not cutting my hair horizontally, meaning she was not using a blunt cut. She was using a point cutting technique, holding the scissors vertically. I was not super happy about that because I was pretty clear that I wanted a blunt cut, but as long as it was all the same length and only half an inch, I didn't really care at that point. I just wanted to get out of there because we were running late. After she finished cutting my hair, I glanced in the mirror, then threw it up in a clip because my daughter and I were running late for her gymnastics class. When I got home from her gymnastics class, I took my hair out of the clip and was shocked to see layers cut all over my hair, layers that took off at least three or 4 inches of length. Literally everywhere. I had spent two years growing my hair out to be all the same length and it was finally getting to a length that I was enjoying. I had to go the very next day to get it fixed because I can't stand layers in my hair, they make my hair feel thin. So I had to pay twice for my hair to get cut because this woman ignored what I wanted done, and not only that she charged my six-year-old the adult price. This happened weeks ago and I'm literally still upset over it. The price is one thing, but for her to ignore what I wanted for my hair? That's unexcused. I told her no layers, blunt, and all the same length. I repeated it multiple times. I ended up losing about 4 inches of length when I only went in for a half an inch trim. I do not recommend this place and I would not go back. She cost me a minimum of eight months of hair growth. I'm still livid about it. I'm giving two stars only because the man who cut my daughter's hair did a good job.

Well, layers happened, plus way more than two inches, more like 4-5 inches of my snipped hair lay upon the floor. I had also asked for brown underneath my blond at the nape of my neck. So one usually would take the last bottom inch or so of your hair at the nape of the neck and color away. I noticed she was talking with her coworkers and other customers and I asked her "aren't you going up a little too high?" as she worked her way to the crown of my head. She insisted no, it's going to look great. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Check the picture Yelp readers, check this disaster out. I asked that she fixed it and she said she could put in a few foils of highlights. I'm not sure just a few foils of highlights at the dark part is going to fix it and we discussed it further and she insisted that would do it. While she did put in the foils of course they didn't come out very blonde and they were very sparse. Along the way she kept trying to redirect the blame. I went home and I put a few low lights in the top half of the back of my head to try to balance this thing out. I will not be returning to Pam, obviously.
