    Not correct or true.

I have been patronizing this store since it opened several years ago. I made an appointment and went to this location over the weekend. There is a sign on the front door stating that there is a City mask requirement. This is false - the requirement ended (15) days prior. There is another sign on the check-in desk that repeats this message. When I checked in the associate told me I had to wear a mask. I thought she was confused or misinformed. I pointed to the sign and said the city requirement was removed more than (2) weeks ago. She stated that she knew that, but the Owner was requiring masks. I asked why the signs didn't state that the store required masks and the associate said the owner was "waiting for new signs." The "signs" are plain copy paper and printed on a desktop printer. I said I didn't have a mask but I would wear one if they could provide one. They said that they had no masks, but I could go next door to Whole Foods and get a mask. I would not go to another business and ask them for a mask so I could take the mask to another business. The store manager said that they are "asking" people to wear masks. I said I understood that this was what they were "asking," but since I didn't have a mask, and they couldn't provide one, and their signage was false and misleading - could I just get my hair cut? She said no. So they are not "asking" customers to wear masks, they are "requiring" them to do so. If a business wants to make their own rule re masking that is their call, but they should not pretend that it's someone else's decision. The false and misleading signs are IMO intended to make customers believe there is a city requirement for masking and the store itself has no discretion. In this way, they get compliance without any complaints. I asked for the owner's contact information so I could make a complaint and was told they could not give that out, but they would give her my contact info and she would call me. It has been (3) days now and no call from the owner. I also asked for contact info for Supercuts corporate offices and the store manager told me there is no parent corporation, just the owner. This is also false. Supercuts is owned by Regis, and the stores are franchises. I have been to this store throughout the pandemic and I have complied with all masking rules every time. I was willing to comply with their current masking rules, despite their deceptive signs, if they would just give me a 25-cent mask. Lose a $20 haircut for a 25-cent mask? So in addition to deceptive signs, playing semantics with "asking" vs. "requiring," making up stories about "waiting for new signs" that are made with a home printer, and then lying about no parent corporation, I was still willing to give them my money (and they would keep a long-term customer) if they would just give me a mask. And I would still patronize this business if the owner had just taken a couple of minutes to call me and hear my concerns.

I've been here about 45 times I always see Candace she's a sweetheart. Even about eight months pregnant she still got around and give me a great haircut I would highly recommend going there very kid friendly and easy to get in and out

My little man loves going here. She asks what type of hair cut and u get it. Jr hair cut is 13.95. Adult is 15.95. Not bad.

I wouldn't expect a lot from this place but they do a good job here without breaking the bank. They accept walk-ins or call ahead. This place is pretty clean with a waiting area to. Many items to choose from after a wash or a styling cream.

Even when living in Boston, I would make it a point to schedule an appointment when I came to Danbury to visit family and friends. I currently live over an hour away in New York, and still come to Dawn's for haircuts. The service is exceptional, and the staff is always friendly, greets you with a smile, and takes great care to make sure that you're satisfied with your experience. It's evident that the owner loves what she does, and has surrounded herself with a team of highly-trained professionals who all take great pride in their work. I was impressed when I found out that the staff is kept up-to-date on the latest innovations in the industry with continuous training on techniques and products. I know this because I talk to the staff when I'm there (which is easy because they are all so gracious and outgoing), and have been lucky enough to be at the salon while they've been previewing new products. You will never feel like "just another client." If you want to feel like you're important, and get the personal attention and professionalism that's lacking in so many other businesses, then Dawn's is the place. I also have a lot of respect for a small business that does so much for the community. The owner takes the time to give back, sponsoring countless events to raise money for numerous charities and families in need. Most recently, she and her team donated their time and their talent to raise over $63,000 for the Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut. That doesn't sound like someone who is "arrogant, self-absorbed and useless" to me. Quite the opposite. As for the parking, there are plenty of spaces in the back lot, and they're free. No need for quarters. Just pull in and turn left.
