She has thinning hair [and is in her 80s and her dermatologist has advised her not to use a brush, as it will denude the scalp eventually]. When she made her appointment she asked for someone who is experienced at dealing with thinning hair and the owner said that was herself, so my mother made an appointment with the owner Julie. She was treated very disrespectfully-- Julie refused to give her a haircut unless she was allowed to use a hair brush on my mother's hair, even after my mother explained that the dermatologist had warned her not to use a brush. My mother uses a special "styling" comb that works quite well. Other stylists have had no problem with giving my mother a haircut using the styling comb instead of a brush! I felt terrible that I had recommended this place to my mother and she was so disrespected. Thankfully my mother stood her ground and left. I cannot recommend this establishment after that experience. If you must go, don't let the owner Julie deal with you unless you prefer being disrespected.

CAUTION!! Get your hair done at this salon at your own risk!! I attempted to get my hair cut and…read morecolored a couple weeks ago by Thom. By the way, he still has an active online booking calendar. Thom and I spoke at length about my cut and color before he started. For 3 hours he "worked"on my hair and then told me what I owed him. Shocked I said, aren't you going to use foils and color my hair? His reply, "Oh foils are so expensive. I just gave you a reset. Let's do your color next time". Since we were already 3 hours in I agreed to this odd request. Turns out Thom isn't physically able to do hair anymore. My hair is a shaggy mess. He barely trimmed the ends and didn't color it at all. He suddenly retired a couple days after he left my hair uncompleted and he refuses to refund my money because he "doesn't like my tone". I spoke to the owner of the salon whose only reaction was pity for Thom and his troubles and anger and aggression when I requested my money back. He said, "Just take the hit. Maybe one of my girls can get you on their schedule to fix your cut". Aggressive and sexist in the same sentence. Very professional. He entirely missed my point that his buddy was fraudently representing himself as a capable hair stylist while working in his salon and actively booking appointments while he was unable to hold a pair of scissors, and then charging more than $200 for all the things he didn't do.
