Called, and asked if they can cut my extensions and they said no. They do don't cut or handle anything that has to do with extensions. Hair is hair so not sure why they wouldn't take my service just lost a client and some money. Thought you ladies should know in case you needed your extensions cut. read more

All I am going to say it that it doens't take a lot to have some manners. And a little bit of customer service goes a long way... Especially when your job requires you work with the public. Found this place while walking around the plaza and I thought it would be the perfect time to get my hair fixed (the last salon I went to didn't do too much of a good job on layering my hair). I came in and immediately I was greeted warmly by the employees. Scarlet came up to me and asked me what I wanted done, so I told her my situation. When I asked her how much it'd cost me, she kindly said she'll fix my hair for free! She was so kind and friendly throughout the entire time I was there, and now my hair looks so much better. I have walked into this place numerous amounts of times to trim my under shaved hair. I have almost always gotten the same person, till this last time. I see shaving what is already shaved as a simple task. This lady not only achieved in making the crookedest line at the bottom, I was grabbing globs of hair out of my head for the next 20 minutes afterwards!! I guess she decided i should shave a little more off. I almost cried there was so much hair coming out. Inevitably I went straight to a more expensive salon where I normally go for my full hair, in which these girls were mortified as to why somebody would shave my hair like this. My advice would be stick with who you know to cut your hair here. read more

Rebecca cut my hair today! She did beyond exceptional. I went in with dry and split ends and came out with healthier ends and layers. She basically gave my head of hair a super dope mini makeover. I took my son to Supercuts and I was very disappointed in the knowledge that the stylist had when it came to cutting hair. I took him in to get an edge up and the stylist responded by asking if I only wanted the back of his neck cleaned up. I then had to explain to her that by edge up I meant that I wanted his entire head to be cleaned up. Once she understood what I was trying to say she proceed to then go and cut his hair. Once he was finished I could tell that she really didn't know what she was doing. She didn't follow the lining of his hair and on the back of his head is uneven to the point where one side is higher than the other. In the front you couldn't even tell that she cut it at all. In fact, his side burns weren't even cut correctly. Thank god it was free because I was most definitely not going to pay for it in the end. read more

My husband goes in to have his haircut last night, I heard him said what he wants to be and what style. The girl took so forever to be done and he got a flat top instead of a fohawk i said wth I was laughing but I saw my husband's face that he wasn't happy for that expensive unimpressive work she did. I can cut my hubby's hair better that he can feel confident with. I rather go back and drive all the way to Orange work our usual $7 haircut and tipped our hair dresser big cause we get what we want. *Let me start off by giving a little background. I had a pixie cut about a year ago and i've been growing it out ever since. I've been bleaching it for that whole year so it's very damaged and brittle. At home, I use deep conditioner at least once a week, bathe it in coconut oil every other night, and use leave in conditioner and dry oil after every shower. I comb it with a wide tooth comb very very gently and then usually let it air dry. Basically, I try to take really good care of it and am very careful when styling it.* I was really only looking to get my hair trimmed a little and evened out, so I figured I would save money by going to Supercuts instead of paying $55+ at a higher end salon. The place was very clean and modern looking and easy to check in. I only had to wait about 10 minutes which was great. My stylist was very nice and we had good conversation throughout the whole process. But that's really where the positivity stops. I wanted a shampoo as well as blow dry/style so I could go straight to work after. This brought my total to $42 which isn't much cheaper than other salons, but I was being optimistic and thinking it would look great. I showed pictures of what I wanted and explained that I'm growing it out. She took me back to shampoo me and she didn't even shampoo my whole head. I understand that my hair is short, but she really only shampooed the crown of my head. To be fair, I know my hair has a lot of damage, but she cut off WAY more than I wanted. I now have a shaggy pixie cut, which is not even close to what I wanted. She cut off almost 3 inches around my face. However, the cut is not my main complaint. She asked which side I part it on, I said I do both just depending on the day, so she cut it parted down the middle. That was fine, but then when she "styled" it, she kept it parted down the middle. She didn't even ask me how I wanted it styled. She put some product in and blow dried it a little. She used a very hard brush to sort of curl it (?) while continuing to blow dry. I know she was breaking a lot of my hair because it's so brittle, she wasn't being careful at all. Then, with my hair still damp and parted down the middle, she sprayed hairspray on it and said it would help the ends to not flip out. I ended up tipping (I need to grow a backbone and not tip for services I don't like) and my total came out to $52. I should've just taken that money and went to a better salon that wouldn't have let me walk out looking the way I did. I left there, immediately put my hat on, and had to go home and wash and style it myself. This place might be ok if your hair is long and you just want a trim, but otherwise, take your money elsewhere. read more

I have thick long hair that was in dire need of a trim and some style. I was skeptical of coming to SuperCuts but wanted to save money and wanted the availability of a walk-in. I have to say, Melissa did a wonderful job on my hair (thank you, Melissa!). I was able to keep the length, but took off some weight by giving my hair layers. She explain the process through out and offered great advice for keeping my hair healthy & looking good. I will definitely be returning. read more

It's been a few months since I got my terrible haircut here and I'm still upset at what the lady did to my hair. It still looks like a disaster and it upsets me to the point that I constantly lose my appetite when looking in the mirror or even thinking of the lady who cut my hair. I hope she knows what she has done and that's why I'm writing another post. It doesn't help that I'm going to Europe in a month for a whole month and a half with this hair and I lose sleep just thinking about it at night. One by one everyone went in front of me. There's a great number of salons, and barbershops located all over the 91709 area. I have visited a fair amount here and there, but one day my usual spot was all booked. I was in need of a nice haircut to feel me again. My good friend recommended SuperCuts, so i didn't hesitate to visit. After my turn was over, i felt alive again, and have been a regular ever since. Bad customer service. They told me a half hour wait for my son and myself. It was an hour and ten minutes. Then, once my son gets started, the tell me that someone magically called in between my son and I checking in. I'm still waiting...it's been over an hour and thirty minutes (they told me 30 minutes). I went in last Saturday morning at 10 am and found only one stylist, Samantha, working and one person already waiting. I decided to put my name on the list anyhow. As I waited three more customers came in. When it was my turn I told Samantha how much I wanted cut, showed her on my hair how much that was, and indicated where I wanted my hair to fall when dry. I also asked Samantha to keep the long layers. I decided to pay the 4 dollars for a shampoo, which was a waste of time because Samantha only washed the ends of my hair and barely touched my scalp. By the end of the day my hair felt dirty and looked greasy, which is not usual after a shampoo. When Samantha was done with the cut, I saw that my hair was WAY shorter than I had told, showed, and indicated. I was a bit annoyed but it was done and there was nothing I could do to change it. When I went home and blow dried my hair I found that there were no long layers and the left side of my hair was 1 1/2 inches shorter than the right. Very noticeable! I paid 16.50 and 4 dollars for a lopsided blunt cut. Not cool Samantha. I will never go to Super Cuts again. And I will tell everyone I know about the horrible experience I had. read more

Seriously bad service. I generally take my kids to Fantastic Sams on Soquel Canyon, but they recently closed. I took my kids today to the super cuts on Grand by Von's. we walked in with 2 stylists working away. We signed in and sat down. There was one gentleman ahead of us. No big deal. 15 minutes pass all the while never being greeted. A women with her 2 teenage daughters walked in claiming she spoke to someone earlier in the week saying to bring the girls in to get dyed hair. The stylist claimed she didn't have an appointment that they didn't take appointments. If they have a seat in the lobby she will be with them soon. The mother of the girls insisted on talking about colors and the stylist was now going through books and had the girls in chairs looking at color. After another 5 minutes the mom leaves and the stylist takes the girls back and starts washing their hair. Chit chatting about the girls being a cheerleader. She told the mom it would take her about 4 hours to do their hair. I approached the stylist on my way out stating that we are leaving because she let that mother bully her into taking her girls even though she had asked them to wait. She states to me I'm sorry there is another stylist coming in about 30 minutes. Knowing that she was going to take 4 hours with these girls they should have waited in line to get started. If the other stylist didn't finish with her client it would have taken 30 minutes max to finish all 3 haircuts. She didn't look concerned and rolled her eyes at me. The other stylist said nothing the entire time I was in the shop. I feel sorry for the man who was waiting patiently ahead of us. I take my kids to get a cut every three weeks and I generally get a trim every month. They had a chance to gain a client and potentially $10,000 in income while my kids are in grade school plus 20% additionally to her personally in tips. If they lose a client a day, five days a week. They have the potential to lose $47,000 a year in income. If mom is bringing in her kids triple that a year! All from a rude employee. I predict this supercuts goes the way of the fantastic sams in chino hills. I ended up paying a little more down the street, but it literally took 5 minutes per cut and the staff was nice. PS. I tipped 30% because of the difference service. Yelp doesn't allow me to give a zero rating. read more

I had a bad experience at the Super Cuts Salon in Chino Hills. I asked for highlights and wanted to darken the brown. What came out was I had dark brown hair. My husband hated it. They asked me to come back the next day to fix. They tried to take out the brown and then added more blonde highlights. Then they proceeded to add a toner that burned my scalp. The end result was better but still too much brown. When I came home I noticed big red splotches on my scalp. These all proceeded to scab over and I now have giant flakes and horrible itching. Stylist was Melissa. She is very nice and truly wanted this to work but may be inexperienced. My bad as I should not trust hair coloring by Super Cuts that probably employs straight out of school. read more
