I am happy to say that Aussie Auto on Pickering Street in Alderley is definitely one you can trust, just good old fashioned honest and reliable service. The team here are very pleasant and really flexible! I don't know how many times I have booked my car in for a service and then had to cancel/reschedule at the last minute. I have a Rav 4 and a standard service for me usually costs around $140 and includes a full inspection of the vehicle, a minor detail, engine de-grease and car wash! I thought of all the regular places I took my previous cars and then I thought, why not try Ultra Tune... they had a shop in the Mt Ommaney Shopping Centre car park and was nice and convenient, close to where I lived. I rang them up and spoke to Shane the owner, he was friendly, very helpful and was very up front about the costs of the service and what the process would be. So book my Lamby (car pet name) in I said. The same day I rang, my car was booked in. The car was serviced, wheels were shined and the interior was vacuumed. I picked the car up without any delays, they rang me to let me know what was happening and they rang me to let me know my car was ready to be picked up (simple things like this usually have gone overlooked in my past experience). I picked my car up and Shane was really professional, told me he ran the Ultra Tune in Darra and had waited 15 years to get the spot in the shopping centre, only moved in 6 months ago. He was down to earth and the prices were very reasonable. The battery we had to purchase was $100 cheaper than what RACQ had charged me previously and the service was a good $100 cheaper than the next quote I got. The workshop was clean, well looked after and everything was new. I am definetely impressed with the personal service I received, the friendly attitude and the efficiency of the servicing of my car. I am definetely taking my car back there the next time I need to, and maybe I can learn a few pointers. Plus, I am a big supporter of local business. A wheelin' good time.

I had a cooling off period because I bought a demonstrator and wanted to make use of this time to confirm some basics things that I forgot to confirm during the deal - stuff like, has the car been serviced, will it be serviced if it missed services - how will this affect the warranty, can I buy the tint and have this applied prior to delivery. They refused to speak to me because they didn't want me to give me a reason to pull out of the deal (not that I planned to) - typical car sales technique. So I decided to use my statutory rights and cancel the deal because noone would speak to me. That is when the fun began! The sales manager called me up and abused me, told me they would change the time stamp on my email so that it was no longer within the 24 hour period, advised they would keep my deposit and if I wanted it I would need to take them to court. It was an absolutely horrible experience when buying a new car is meant to be exciting! Out of fear of losing my deposit I stuck with the deal. When picking up my car they applied a WestPoint sticker to it, even though I has asked them not to! So I peeled it off while it was still fresh before I drove away. The sales manager came over to me and told me how rude I was for doing that. WTF... it was my car and I specifically asked them not to apply their branding and they did anyway! After getting the car, of course it had not received a single service despite having a few thousand KMs on the clock and despite the Nissan service centre being attached! They did rectify that and stamped the logbook. The service people and the bus driver were great, it is just the sales people that made this such an awful experience. More recently I bought a new car through Alfa Salters. Unfortunately Salters was acquired by WestPoint and I got my car serviced through them. The Alfa service was horrid. I was charged $200 more for a logbook service than was quoted over the phone. And they advised me that I did not have a suspension issue when I clearly did. I told them this was not right as I can feel the suspension issue and also hear it when going over bumps, they said I could bring the car in again but if they 'found nothing 'again they would charge me for the check. Today I took my car to EuroMarque in the Valley, they checked out my car and new suspension parts are being flown in from Melbourne because they found a very obvious problem. They even washed my car and treated me like a valued customer. I don't care that this service centre is further away from home, I'll never deal with WestPoint again.

I recently had problems with my Rav 4 - it was making some pretty terrible noise and running like a hunk of junk! I took it into the guys at Stop Masters and they gave it the once over. Initially the diagnoses was not good - there were major issues with the engine and they thought I may have to replace it! Expensive much!! Luckily, Darren used his skills to avoid having to undergo this costly procedure. He pulled apart the engine and cleaned it all out, he took pictures of all of the dirt and grime which had built up on the engine and talked me through the steps he had taken. After all was said and done I was only out of pocket $800 - this was a great compared to the $4,000 it would have been to replace the engine! So grateful that they looked at the option that would benefit the customer most - not the business.

They're a little pricey, but you get what you pay for and they explain everything without making me feel like a silly girl who doesn't know anything about cars. I've never had a problem with any of their work. They're also really close to Milton train station so its convenient to get to work once you've dropped your car off.

We took it to another place, closer to us, for the 186,000 oil change, it was discovered that there was not even a cabin filter in the car. Rang the owner at BAM and he said let me look into this and will get back to you, which he did. Traced the job back and found that it had not been done, empolyee on last week of job, he promply refunded the money for that and we are very impressed with all he did for us. From them I found out that it was my front tyres and that the back tyres get shifted to the front so new tyres can get put on the back (or it could be the other way round-I really should be blonde). They seemed completely unphased by my lack of car knowledge and did the job on the spot with no booking and no hint of the patronising attitude I usually get from such places. Their prices were good in comparison to what I've seen advertised from other tyre places. Would willingly recommend them to any other hapless female needing new tyres.
