I've been a regular customer of Vitamin Shoppe for several years. I believe in taking vitamins and supplements in addition to homeopathic medicines so I visit this store often. It is conveniently located close to my home, not to mention Starbucks is only a few doors away. Yeah, they planned that well. The store is always neat, well stocked and organized. It's fairly easy to locate any particular supplement you're searching for because the shelf sections are labeled. If you do need assistance, the employees here are always ready and willing to help. Some are more knowledgeable than others but they all try to help. I never seem to see the same employee here twice so I guess the turn over is high. Don't expect anyone to remember you each time you visit cuz it will always be a new face. I like the prices here better than some of the other vitamin stores. They seem more competitive. I really hate store credit. Now I have to carry around this crappy piece of paper that is worth $20.00 that will expire in a year, unless I loose it first. Why the #($&@#)!!! can't you just give me my money back if I don't like your crappy product? My money doesn't expire and I am pretty much guaranteed not going to loose it. In the future, I will be more careful about the return policy before I buy a product if I am at all iffy about it. When buying specialty supplements, it would be nice to know that the sales person actually knows a thing or two about the products rather than just grab the most expensive thing off the shelf which is what I think happened to me and why I brought the stuff back. Your über-healthy looking muscle-guys and brightly lit, well-stocked stores aren't enough inspire confidence. Rude!!!! Assistant manager "Kelly" I walked in and she just looked at me... no "hi welcome" ... felt super unwelcome

I figure everybody has bad days. I get that sometimes, even in the service industry, you'd rather NOT see anyone walk thru your door. I get it. But I rarely, OK pretty much never, will bash unless some ONE deserves it. Good: The staff (with one exception) is helpful. Selection is good, many supplements, herbal tinctures, protein powder, and what not. Bad: Let me tell you a story: I've been in this place 5 times - pretty much enough times to gage a pattern. The first time I came in, staff guy was super helpful and I signed up on their "program". However, the manager (pretty sure he's the manager) was annoyed at my presence. I figure bad day - I get it. Next two times I go in, only manager guy is there, asks me if I need help, I tell him what I'm looking for...he points, "it's over there", I get it myself and I wait at the front for about 5 minutes until he comes to ring me up. Next time, same deal, un-helpful manager, points me toward what I wanted - then walks away stocking shelves or inventory or something and leaves me at the front AGAIN. But this last time, well, I asked, "do you carry flavored Stevia". He says, with as much attitude as Wesley Snipes in drag, "uh, you obviously don't know this but Stevia is only ONE flavor." I said, "really, well, I buy it other places and thought I'd stop by". He says, "well what kind of flavor do you mean?" I said, "well there's grape, root beer, vanilla cream..." *I rattle off about 8 varieties...to which he says... "we don't carry that artificial crap". I said, "well you carry Sweet Leaf, that is the brand I usually buy that you're calling crap". He says, "Look, we don't carry what you are looking for". If I wanted an argument, I got one. If I wanted to talk to an ass, I did. If I wanted to be disrespected, I was. But, I wanted to know if they carried a product, if not, could they (or would they order it for me)...but I didn't get to ANY of this - because somebody has 'tude - EVERY time I walk in. So, repeat - staff (except manager guy) is helpful and nice. Manager guy - he is the ONLY reason I will not walk back into this store. Too bad, I will find alternatives. I usually don't let crappy attitudes affect me - but in this case...I've had enough. read more

I've had nothing but great experiences at this Vitamin Shoppe. The prices are extremely competitive, and certainly beat GNC as far as being wallet friendly is concerned. The store is organized and well laid out. Every time I've requested the help of the staff, they've been very knowledgeable and courteous, without trying to upsell me. If you take supplements and/or vitamins regularly, I'd highly recommend signing up for their rewards program. Your dollars spent are converted into points, and for every set amount of points earned, you get discount coupons mailed to you. The selection of brands they carry is great, and I like that if I buy a new flavor of whey protein and hate it, they're more than happy to take it back and allow me to exchange for a tub of something else of equal value. A definite must for anyone taking vitamins, supplements, and the like from all spectrums -- be it body building, or just a daily multivitamin. read more

Great store. Lots of options to choose from to add to your daily nutrition plan. I can always count on a few staff members here to help me make the right choices on products. Some on the other hand need some work on customer service. I came in looking for a product, about 5-minutes until closing (my bad), and not even a "hello how is your evening going" but a "what do you want?" He proceeded to walk me over to the most expensive product and told me to take it. I told him that I at least wanted see if there were other options available. He looked at me funny and told me that they were closing... maybe he was having a bad day. But coming from a business standpoint, I think he could've given me better service by going above and beyond what his hours limit him by and at least educate me on the differences between each product and letting me know why the product he chose is the best one, instead of handing me the most expensive one all because you're about to close... Whatever! This place rocks! Not sure what's up with the other reviews because my experiences have been awesome. Each employee I have ever interacted with has been very knowledgable on store products and health and wellness in general, and gave good pros and cons on all of the products I inquired about. They give it to you straight. And if you're not satisfied with the product, you're more than welcome to bring it back for any reason. You can tell that the people that work here make health and wellness a part of their daily lives. Unlike the fat girl who OBV does not take good care of herself let alone know anything about vitamins and health at the other vitamin store. Another thing I like about this place is that they give you free magazines about health. So cool. AND they gave me free fiber gummy worms!! And they were delicious! A nutritional supplement store with reasonable prices. I went here for the first time recently to check out what products they carry. They have some name brand products and a lot of their own brands. They also have a section for protein supplements for body builders. The staff person was very friendly and helpful. The store was small and they didn't carry a lot of the products i was looking for. However, i was able to find a few that i needed and for very reasonable prices. For they few items they do carry that i needed, it was worth stopping in. I will go back again. Be ware this company does small frauds. When it says free on the item and another company gives to the vitamin shop to give to customers 2 promote the item. The vitamin shop charges you for a small fee 4 something free. The principal of the mater is they are stealing from the customers Deceit and deception. Does not matter what price is free is = free. They threaten you when you speak up. How many people have they rip off already? They said they charge $0.01 for there inventory when they never paid for a free item. Is this right to rip off the customer ? Further more the store manager and main manager does not and will not price match with local stores. This store is great for its incredibly knowledgeable and helpful employees and reasonable prices. I have no idea how the folks that work in here remember where everything is but they do an incredible job. However it looses a couple of stars because of a major problem that I've had with this store. It is frequently out of stock on things. Although they have a large selection of products, they seem to stock very little of each individual product. There is nothing worse than being down to my last few tablets of something and finding out that they are out of stock and offering to special order it for me. If I wanted to order it, I would get it online for cheaper. More than once now I have had to drive downtown to their competition Super Supplements because they were out of something that I was almost out of and had to have. I really do love this store, if it would just keep things in stock better I would stop wandering off to their competition. read more
