BEWARE!! My friend bought me a gift certificate for my birthday in November. She didn't notice they had written in an expiration date of January. They would not honor the gift certificate due to expiration date. I thought gift certificates which are paid for do not expire!! California Civil Code Section 1749.5(a).states gift cards and certificates can not have an expiration date or be charged a monthly maintenance fee. She took my gift certificate and torn it into little pieces and threw it in the trash..right in front of me!!! I heard previous owners opened new SPA near Vons off Bear Valley Road--They were fantastic--I will not be returning to this establishment. read more

A friend and I just left the super spa. The girl who arranged our massage was very sweet and kind. Our massages were absolutely wonderful. But never in my life have I ever been told and amount that I am supposed to tip. The gentleman that cashed us out was rude. When I told him to take the typical 15% extra he shook his head and said no and put his hand up saying it had to be more money. Feeling awkward and on the spot I tipped more. I left feeling like that was the rudest thing anybody has ever done to me. Last I checked when you tip somebody that is an option not a demand. I would have gone back to you to do the massages were wonderful. But I do not like being treated like that. It ruined my massage and put me in a bad place when I left. read more

UPDATE: The owner contacted me immediately after I posted my previous 1 star review apologizing and letting me know they were in the middle of a staff change and that he was sincerely sorry for the bad customer service. He offered me another combo massage to come back and give them another chance. This time was much better than the last. The massage was better and the service was much better as well. They even offered me water and a candy this time after my massage. They must have been having an off day the last time I went, I'm not sure, but I was surprisingly impressed this time around. I appreciate their customer service and reaching out to me to correct the problems from the first massage. THANK YOU! Previous Review: I was going to give this place a decent review (not a 4 or a 5 star but a 3star probly ) but when it came to the end of my massage, I was trying to ask them if I could pay extra for him to do my hands and arms for longer (since I felt he didn't do them that well). Nobody speaks any english so no one understood that I was trying to give them more business. She just kept saying no. Also, they cut 5 minutes off my hour massage. It may not sound like much, but 5 minutes of a massage is a lot! Other than not doing my hands enough, the rest of the massage was great. I tipped the guy 20% since I didn't think the service was bad nor good. The lady had the nerve to tell me that next time I come in, I need to tip more! You are not entitled to a tip. A normal tip is 15% and i usually do 20% no matter what anyways. If they would have done an amazing job, I would tip them more. That's the way tips work! I'm really disappointed with the way service has drop. I've been here before and sometimes it was great and most times it was just okay. The last time I came it was early morning just my husband and I, a treat for our anniversary to get our day started right. Well we were the only ones and there was this guy smoking outside, turns out he was the one that ended up massaging me. The massage was going well till he got to my head, his hands reeked of cigarette and just thinking about him massaging my legs, feet, arms, hands, back, head and neck it totally ruined my relaxed vibe and I just wanted it to be over. Love this place. Super Spa is one of the best things I do for my self. They are very professional,clean,quiet and relaxing. They have a combination Massage for only $30.00 for a hour and I always leave feeling great. I think everyone should do this at least once a month just as maintenance for your body. Not sure how this place has good reviews. Ever since the original owners sold, it has been crap. It's loud. They change people mid massage. Don't listen to your requests. I'm a firm believer of second chances but their second chance was the last straw. Now they demand you tip 25%. I wrote my tip on the receipt and she pointed at my paper before I was even done, then pointed at the wall and demanded I change it. I'm a decent tipper but how dare you demand that I change my tip amount. I will never go back. The massage is not that good. And a tip... Is a tip based on services. Really sad! So you know we're this review is coming from, I have been coming regularly to this business since they opened. Meaning once a week. Every year it changes owners. No big deal. One of the previous owners John would always ask me how my massage was. He wanted to know if the therapist was not good. He cared about his customers clearly. There was only one other time when I was having a foot massage that they guy was literally nodding off. I woke him up and told him to get the boss. They apologized, and sent another therapist in to finish. At the end of the massage I told John the therapist fell a sleep. He was embarrassed and again apologized. After all I am paying for a service that the person is not supposed to fall sleep during. Having gone there once a week over the last four years I know what a regular Chinese foot massage feels like. Today I could tell that the therapist could not care less about the quality of the massage she was giving. All over the place. When it came time to pay i tipped 7$ on a 50$ massage. I always tip 20%. Her massage sucked! Bottom line. She's lucky she got what she received. Top it all off was the lady at the front desk who says to me "um usual tip 20%. I said not today. She was not very good. I believe she needs more training. In my head thinking (or maybe she should give a shit about the quality of a massage she gives) I was polite, and felt the owner needed to know. The therapist who a few min ago sat a cup of water on the counter for me, grabbed it, threw it in the trash and hastily walked off. Rude! Oh, and don't think for a second they don't understand English. They clearly do after that interaction. I'm shocked, and they won't be getting my business again. Stay away!!!' For 1HR!! took my GF for her birthday she had Jason I had Lucy both did wonderful job......the only thing I disliked is that they don't have a private couples area if you're getting a couples massage it's right there in the lobby so anyone that walks in sees you right away getting your massage, but other than that nice staff, great work, we left there feeling awesome. read more

This place does not deserve even a half star. My daughter and I called them ahead of going and asked if they give pedicures, we were told yes they do. We arrive there go inside and talk to the lady at the desk tell her we want pedicures she says yes ok, we even asked if they paint your nails she said yes. We had to pay upfront ($40 each) then they take us both into one room with two beds, pull out some buckets put plastic bags into them and pour in hot water tell us to put our feet into the buckets, then told us to lay back, we were both like what? The two women pushed us both back onto the beds and started give us massages, i just figured ok I guess this is just part of there process for pedicures, it was ok at first until they started getting very hard and aggressive, the lady even went as far as pulling both my arms behind my back and pulling up on my arms, I had to tell her to stop, it felt as thou my arm was going to break it was so painful, the whole massage was very painful using her elbow and grinding it into our backs and pulling on my foot and toes even thou I told her I had foot surgery done not too long ago and it's still painful. Then after they were done with there abuse they stood at the door demanding a tip. My daughter said hell no I am not tipping you, we came for pedicures and never even got one, she said i came in here feeling fine and now I am leaving in pain and no pedicure you are not getting a tip and she walked out, and the lady went outside after her acting like she was going to fight my daughter so I went outside and the other lady started yelling at me saying I needed to pay my tip before I could leave. I walked out anyway and they both then came outside after us we got in the car and left. Talk about a horrible horrible place this place should be shut down. read more

Had a super relaxing hour-long foot massage here for $20, which was actually a combination of a clothed shoulder, neck, upper back and lower back massage and foot massage. It was comfortable and I liked the sound of the water running in the fountain in the spa. It was an incredibly good value. To make it better, I would add hot towels and hotter, scented water for the foot spa. I didn't have an appointment and just walked it. There were no employees in the front, but you can walk to the back employee room and knock on the door. read more

I would no longer recommend this place. Since new owners took over or staff or whatever they dont do massage correctly and they try to tell you what to tip. For $20 you can't ask for more. Their set up is a cut above the typical Asian foot spa. Rooms are private but not stuffy, with a six foot partition for each guest. Friendly masseuses, and you don't have to get up and go to another room for a back massage. Though it says 20 for a foot massage you're really getting a full body. Amazing place! read more

We got a pretty good quick massage for 20 bucks they do your head neck back and feet the majority of the time was spent on the feet my only complain was they had a lady begin doing my massage and then i felt the pressure switch and a man had started doing it... i wish they could have given some heads up not just try to be sneaky while my eyes where closed with an exception to a few areas he did pretty well just had to let him know to do it softer in certain areas because he had started to hurt me read more

It has been a while since I've been here. The massage was good but the only bad thing was the guy that gave the massage must be a heavy smoker and when he was doing the face massage it reeked of old cigarettes and you could smell it on his breath and clothes. I have been coming here for years but recently relocated and I'm not sure if they are under new management or not but my masseuse kept walking out all through out my massage, like she had something better to do. The last time she walked in apologized, told me I'd get 5 more minutes but yet I'm already out and my husband is still in there....? 15 min later...We both got 60 min massages? How am I supposed to relax when you keep leaving? Mind you she kept the door open for the first half of my massage???? Why do you have doors? I love the massages! But it's hard to communicate when talking about gift certificates and other things! I had a hard time with the last massage because I got a $50 gift certificate and only got the $40 message and I asked if I can use the $10 for a tip, at first the guy was ok with that but then the lady came and started yelling some things i didn't understand, she gave me another certificate for $10 and said for next time, I kept asking if it was ok to use the remaining $10 as a tip because I didn't have enough cash and didn't want to use my card (as they charge to use). The lady got all mad! She finally ripped the certificate out of my hands and told me to go. It was so unprofessional. My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing. I've only had one other massage in my life and it was at a really high end spa that cost 5X's more and I have to say this was WAY BETTER!! The only thing I didn't like was the couple massage area was right in the front area of the business. Every Time someone walks in they can see you, it's distracting and you lose your relaxation every time someone comes in the front door. Not private. read more
