I called Super Sewer Man today because of all the great Yelp reviews. The bathroom to my apartment has had an intermittent awful smell since I moved in (almost two years ago!). When I first complained to my building management company, they thought it needed to be renovated, so they tore down the entire bathroom earlier this year and rebuilt it over the course of almost a month. The construction people left a wobbly toilet and it took my super a month to get someone to come take a look, at which time they fixed the wobbliness, but the next day a brown ring formed around the base of my toilet bowl. The noxious fumes continued to permeate through my apartment every once in a while, and I would always feels so sick whenever I got a whiff of it. This morning I came home to the awful smell again, and I was already not feeling well. I was super nauseous and thought that I might just have to move out of my apartment I love so much because it truly was making me sick!! I called Dave and he explained to me why this happens and how unhealthy it is to be inhaling MOLDY fumes, and had Nico come within a few hours to fix it. Nico was polite, courteous, cleaned up after himself, and it literally took him less than 10 minutes to fix the problem that I have battled for almost two years. Of course I am waiting to see if this miracle lasts, but if I don't come back and update this, just know that Dave and Nico are heaven-sent plumbers. (And I'm not even religious!) This is a delayed review! But none the less, I had called Dave up a while ago with a plumbing emergency (my shower started backing up). That night Dave and his crew were already booked up for the entire night and so couldnt send someone till the next morning but I had overnight weekend guests coming over that same night and needed someone asap! Dave couldnt have been more courteous, apologetic, and genuinely helpful about it. He told me he "didnt want to leave me hanging" and did everything in his power to try and make it happen. When it was confirmed we couldnt get someone over as soon as I needed, I told him honestly that I couldnt wait for tomorrow morning and would probably have to try calling up a different plumber. He completely understood and could not be more polite about it- even offering advice for me on what I should have the other plumber check on. This guy is a superstar. Hands down, Dave is the man. Super knowledgeable, explains everything clearly in an easy to understand manner, and very thorough. I had him come out to scope a sewer line that had previously backed up and caused some massive headaches. The line was currently clear, but I had the sense that something was off with it. I was in need of serious drain service for 6 drains clogged in my building. Called Roto Rooter (dont know why) I shoulda known better. They showed up and told me to service 6 drains it would be $2,300. Granted it was a nightmare job water everywhere but no way was I paying that. I called super sewer man next, they came earlier then scheduled which I was very happy about, unclogged all 6 drains in 3 hours and did a sewer video inspection on the main sewer.
