Dave was awesome! On the phone he gave me all the info and possible scenarios when cleaning out an old house's (1907) sewer line. When I asked about setting up an appointment he said he could be there the next day and then was able to come in the evening when I'd be home from work. On arrival he went on a mission to understand the plumbing in my and my neighbors (we share a duplex) house by checking the pipes in the basement, just to make sure before he got to work. Very thorough! He cleaned the sewer easily and even helped get a stripped pipe cap off that the house inspector couldn't. He explained the part I needed and told me it'd be easier if I got it from home depot and screwed on myself rather than paying him for all that time (although he said he would be happy to do it). That ended up working perfectly. Throughout the hour and half he was over, he kept saying "the good news is..." and I was just waiting for the classic move for a tech to drop the bad news bomb and double his quote...but this never happened. If I wasn't already convinced Dave was a super honest guy by then, he tells me "dont call me to come back every year or two like your inspector suggested, this is a clean, problem free sewer line, just call me when you notice an issue". My sink has a clog that is causing the water to come out of my dishwasher. My super tried to snake and clear the clog but the problem came back. I read all the wonderful yelp reviews that SSM gets and decided to give him a call. I was anxious as I find that most repairmen and brusque and impatient with women customers. But as described by other the yelp reviewers, Dave has great bedside manners. He patiently explained to me what could be wrong, looked at the pictures of the pipes that I sent, gave me the pricing and sent Eddie the man to fix my sink on the same day. Eddie was great! It took him less than 10 minutes to unclog the sink and he cleaned up too. Dave gave me a follow up call while Eddie is still in the apt and reassured me that they had gotten to the bottom of the problem. He also told me that his work comes with a 30 days guarantee which I really appreciate. I am running my dishwasher now and so far so good. If their work holds up, SSM has a loyal customer in me! This is the best plumber around, period! Dave is the rare honest guy to work with. I needed a new sump pump setup, I wanted redundant battery backup setup, I wanted something very over the top and Dave basically talked me off the ledge, educated me on why my thinking wasn't the best and in turn Dave actually saved me over a $1000 doing it his way and not my way (which wasn't the best way). Dave actually fought me to not spend money that wasn't needed. Its pretty rare the guy working on your home tries to save you money. Dave spent two days at my house, he returned all the equipment I originally asked for, replaced with the proper equipment and after all that, something that was never part of the discussion, Dave completely redid the exiting of the sump, re-piped over 30 feet and left me with the perfect setup, this was done by Dave without charging me since he knew it needed to be done. My older friend in his 70s has a walk-in bathtub that was leaking from the connection. He had a plumber come in to take a look to find the problem. The guy came in and ripped the connection from the drain and told him that the tub was shot he had to buy a whole new one. I found Dave online and gave him a call explained what was told to us, sent him pictures and he called back explained everything perfectly clear. He came out the next morning, it wasn't an easy fix since he had a small area to work in which limited how much he could move. he had to try 3 different ways to get it done without having to rip open the ceiling and do it from below (which would have cost more but probably would have been faster for him) he didn't give up and got it done! Dave just turned our day around. After a morning shower we found our basement to be flooding. I contacted Dave as a first time customer, and he treated me like family. He made it to us in under 45 minutes, and also walked me through some things on the phone while he was on his way over. Not only did he take care of the problem, he also taught me a ton in order to understand the problem and prevent it in the future. If you call Dave and get anything but 5 star service, you called the wrong Dave. This guy really did save the day for a couple of people who know nothing about plumbing. Unfortunately i had a horrible sewer problem in my restaurant and i searched Yelp for someone to use. I came across Super Sewer Man and went on their website. The site was straight forward and easy to use in a time of an emergency, very convenient! What also stood out was the name of the company, I love the concept. Wow!!!! It was early morning on saturday and I Needed an emergency main line cleaned out at my house. I honestly cannot say enough good things about Dave and the work he does. The first time he came to my house this week, he cleaned out a bathroom sink drain and ended up replacing some of the pipes. He was very clear in explaining what he needed to do and helping me understand. The next day the spigot for my outside hose came apart and he came over from the job he was already at to help me get it stopped up for the night. I had a clog that was causing my wash basin to back up. I knew what the problem was but my snake couldn't handle the clog. When I called Dave he asked questions about the situation and he adjusted his schedule to accommodate me on a day I was working from home.
