The owner said, 30 cents for a bag. I said, no thanks I'll manage. It's not about the money but.... Am I supposed to put a 30 cent charge on my card after I've already checked out? Instead of making a positive impression and maybe gaining a new regular customer, he lost my business forever for trying to make a few pennies on a bag that cost him next to nothing.
