AVOID! The Vitamin B-1 they sold me was contaminated with a pathogenic water mold/fungus that's attacking Pothos trimmings that I've been rooting, and already killed two of my more sensitive houseplants. I have plants both at work and at home, and both locations are suffering similar problems. Many of them now have white fungus/mold in the soil. The shoots from the Pothos trimmings are falling off. The only thing that was the same between the locations was the vitamin b-1 from Roots. read more

I started doing price checks based on how much money I was spending here and based on I was getting "alright" discounts from the older fella well some younger man charged me like crazy for some nutes and so I started to check Amazon for the same stuff and sad to say they are not even doubling off of me and you they are tripling off of us 6.99 for a 5x30 net on Amazon over here it's 21.99 (plus tax) lol cool spot just check Amazon first. Huge huge huge store!! This is worth the trip! They have everything! The downside is that they are about $2-3 more expensive than my local hydro store and they are more expensive than Amazon. BUT if you want to support the community or just not deal with online purchases then this is the store to go to! But for the high prices I will give 4 stars. read more

These guys (and gals) are super helpful and knowledgeable. The store is well equipped for hydroponics, and, even though I'm a dirt guy, they always have what I need for my organic garden. Very laid back and casual environment makes it really easy to make friends and enjoy the time. For my purposes, I have found their prices to be competitive and, as a frequent buyer, have even earned a substantial discount! Also, they have no problem ordering something for you if they don't have it in stock. No credit cards as of this review, but they will take your ATM card. So I bought a hydro farm portable air condition unit for $431.00 it never cooled my room down even with lights off ...contacted hydro farm and they said take it back and we will fix the problem and we're more then happy to help .. so we take it back to roots so they can send it and they said after a 5 min test that it's fine but it never dropped down there either... so he fucked us and gave us back $350 and said it's for restocking fee...said he would resell it and screw someone else over they would not even ship it like it's supposed to...beware selling faulty shit and u can't use the warranty .. I will never do business there again and good luck screwing people over.... read more

4 stars for the prices, But, Their customer service makes up for a lot of the extra money. It is nice to deal with people that know what they speak of. I had started shopping at Roots in 2009 and recently, especially since they changed management and their name to Super Roots, I have had terrible service from the staff and even the management. I no longer shop there and neither do my family my friends or my co workers. You would do better to take your business some where else. read more

I am disgusted at the behavior of the staff here. They are completely unprofpessional and VIOLENT! My husband was an EXCELLENT and consistent client until they put my life and that of my son in danger. My husband asked the cashier for a discount because of the volume of regular purchases; the owner overheard and began to verbally assault my husband. He was then harassed to the car- where I was feeding my son in the back seat. There was a very violent exchange of words. As we were driving out, the owner or manager- not sure, lifted a ballast and threatened to throw it through the back windshield at my son and I. I screamed as loud as possible and called 911. As we fled the parking lot, another employee threw an axe through the windshield, missing my husband's face by inches. A formal report was made to the police dept. My husband has scars from the glass that came down with the shattered glass. Asking for discounts is a common request in privately owned establishments when products are regularly purchased in volume- there was no need for a violent altrication. Learn to deal with clients; a simple no will suffice. I heard threats to OUR lives by these people. This behavior can be ACCURATELY be compared to that of a paranoid METH addict!!! My husband asked that I refrain from posting a review because of concerns of retaliation, but I refuse to keep my mouth shut for any longer. The stress from this event caused my breast milk production to end- confirmed and documented by my physician. We, along with friends and family, will NEVER return to this business. We will not make or break this business and that's ok, I just think others should be aware of the type of people they're doing business with. read more

BUYER BEWARE - Item stopped working a few months after it was purchased, had a five year warranty and was told bring it along with receipt and a new one could be swapped out that same day. It has been a month and I can not even get the old item back to get it repaired. I am forced to go through court proceedings to get my money back. Some customer service they have. Zero zero stars. Find somewhere else to shop , even if you have to pay a couple cents extra. It will be worth it in the long run. read more

Well to start off, everyone I've ever talked to told me to stay away from this place. Despite what they told me I wanted to check the place out. They greeted me at the door and never spoke to me after until I said I wanted to purchase a full setup. Then the mood turned into a used sales car lot. Everything was cool but a couple days later I decided that the exhaust system wasn't practical for my living situation. Their 7 day return policy turned into a no day return policy. (Even though my filter and ducting hadn't been used.) I would encourage everyone as everyone had encouraged me to not go here. The srh bro's that own and run this place really just care about a one time profit rather than a client for life. I'm not trying to advertise but tower hyrdo seems to care a lot more about their customers. And they actually stick to their return policy. read more
