Let me begin by stating that I was referred to this company and its owner, Jay, by a good friend…read more They had no idea that the person they knew was such a poor businessperson. After my friend's recommendation, I called Blue Fox Roofing to inquire about an estimate for a complete roof replacement. During our initial conversation, I informed him that the company that was already working on other projects on my property was fully expected to handle the roofing as well. When I called, he assured me that he could do a better job and even offered to include some extras if I chose his company. I mentioned the other company and that my insurance would cover the new roof. I provided him with the insurance company's price for all roofing-related work. He was fine with this and expressed his willingness to complete the job immediately. Since he was a professional roofer, he assured me that the job would be done correctly. I provided him with all the details that the insurance company had given me, and he reiterated that he was the right person for the job. However, during our conversation with Jay, my wife signed a contract with the other company without knowing that I was seeking this alternative bid. Consequently, I found myself under contract with the other company. Jay informed me that I had three days to cancel that contract, and if I did, he could start the job immediately. After having several conversations with my wife, I decided to cancel the first contract. The next morning, I called Jay and left a message stating that the previous contract had been canceled and that we were ready to proceed with his company. I asked him to let me know what steps we needed to take to set the job start date. I did not hear from Jay for over six hours when I called him again and explained that I was ready to move forward with his company. To my surprise, he responded that there was no reason to return my first call because the job did not pay enough for him to be interested in it. He even suggested that if I could convince the insurance company to increase its payment, he would call me back. I was shocked and felt betrayed. Now, without a roofer, I had burned the first bridge and foolishly believed in his lies and deceitfulness. Today, I am without a roof or roofer, but I am determined to find a solution. However, I will never work with companies like Blue Fox Roofing, NC. I wanted to warn others about the potential pitfalls they may encounter when dealing with this company.

We texted & called them to help & they said it would be $3400 to repair it. We posted a negative review & they offered to fix it as they wanted our review to go away. We appreciate them agreeing to fix it at no cost but then their top roofer didn't fix it properly (see video). The owner assured us the job was done right this time but we learned in conversations they did not put flashing on our roof & didn't repair any with the new roof either. Two months after the attempted repair the leaking got worse so we contacted other contractors to assess & learned they just piled up sealant & added a screw (see video). Now we have to pay $6500 to repair it. Mike McNally is ignoring my calls as is his son. We selected them over another roofer & we regret it. No flashing. Just slapping down shingles. Ridiculous. Incompetent. Nice people but this is wrong.

He was knowledgeable, likeable, and helpful. He advised us of the storm damage to our roof and helped us begin the claims process. In the meantime, Clay started Rogue Carolina Roofing while continuing to work for a different company. This proved to spread him thin with time and affected communication. The biggest area of opportunity is the communication with both the client and tradespeople. Production manager, Joe Yakaski, dropped the ball and was unresponsive. Our roof was scheduled to be replaced on a Wednesday, but Joe never provided the roofers our address. We work from home and planned our day around this, so it was frustrating. Joe did not call me back to let me know when the job would begin until I reached out to him at 8pm that evening. The job was finished in (2) half days, thus creating inconveniences with work calls and meetings. The best part of my experience was with the roofers that were subcontracted by Rogue Carolina Roofing. Gustavo from G and J Roofing was communicative and a pleasure to work with!

Jim's crew was amazing. They showed up at 6:45am and got to work. They had the roof stripped in three hours. They finished the roof and were packed up and gone without a trace by 4:00pm. I have never seen a more efficient team, and I've seen some recently on my street. Jim came by after to inspect, even down to the detail like any nails left in the yard. I think this company (owner - Joshua Chisom) has failed on more than just one front…read more I hired this company to install a new gutter/downspout on one side of house, and to make repairs and adjustments (including installing a splash guard) at several locations on the existing gutters. Location for repairs/adjustments were pointed out in advance. The gutter installer who came to work, per his statement, has worked in this trade since 2008. When the work was completed he told me not to test the work immediately after since sealant was applied. Next day I discovered the following: -Newly installed splash guard diverted water right over the top of gutter -Leaking at one end cup was not fixed -While fixing one problem at a location that required an adjustment, the gutter installer opened up a gap in the bottom of the corner piece. This spot was leaking now. On the 2nd visit the gutter installer, among other things, replaced the corner piece - the next day showed leakage on both sides of this replaced corner piece. The gutter installer has not come anymore. Now I had a newly created leakage problem that still had to be addressed. This is where this company failed: 1.Attitude - installer, generally speaking, did not care if he fixed my problems or not (whereas, when I pay, I expect someone to fix my problems). For him it was like - I worked on this and that, and now I can leave. On his 2nd visit when I asked "Do you guaranty that there will be no leaking" he said "I'm not ashamed to come to fix if it leaks". He failed to come to fix leaks. To mention, I had a pleasure to be called "dude" by this tradesman in face to face interactions. 2.Quality of work - the new gutter/downspout combo did not have a drop outlet. I believe it's considered a substandard work. The size of the downspout was not the one that was listed on the estimate. Few nails were left in a gutter. A newly installed splash guard that was diverting water over top of gutter had to be re-positioned on the lip of gutter during the 2nd visit. Replaced corner piece leaked on both ends. All in all, quality was not there. 3.Integrity - This company does not care if they perform the work they have contracted. Seems they do not care about the quality of work they give. I filed a complaint with Better Business Bureau, and asked to give me $200 partial refund for the leakage problem that they have created. Owner Joshua Chisom agreed to provide a refund but never actually made a refund. There is no integrity here!
