If you are looking for the most reputable practitioner in the arts of Chinese herbal medicines,…read morelook no further than Dr. Ming T Wong. His prices are around $70 for a visit, plus the cost of whatever herbs he prescribes for your particular needs. I have known him for over 20 years and can vouch personally for his honorable and ethical character. His office is at 572 Washington St., Brighton MA. 02135 #617-254-5805. Make sure and leave a detailed message, and he will usually call you back the Monday after your call to schedule an appointment. This is a life changing experience! But you must have patience for these are not drugs but medicines that can actually cure you.‍

I came to Dr. Ming Wong on the recommendation of two friends who were helped by the doctors. I had…read moreno ailment, but wanted to get a health check-up, via Dr. Wong's diagnostic pulse- reading . I believe he has the intuition and sensitivity it takes to tune into a paerson' constitution, temperament, metabolism and more. His consultation is brief. His charge is affordable even for people with limited finances. ?It is a very good investment in one's health to use herbs even as preventative, like tune-ups, so one does not become ill. The herbs Dr Wong prescribes, and need to be cooked at home in a non-corroding ceramic or enamel pot, are inexpensive, effective and have no side effects, unlike Western alopathic pharmaceuticals covered by insurances.

I'll admit it - I don't like needles. Like I've been known, at doctor appointments, to rip the…read moreneedle out of my arm and throw it on the floor (ok, that only happened once) or clench my wife's hand so hard she loses feeling (ok, that's happened more than once). So, as you can imagine, acupuncture is not something I was thrilled about doing. But, I knew much it had helped me growing up and made the decision to try and get past the phobia. I went to Nicole and, after my first session, it was clear I had found the person to help. To start with, her intake is incredibly thorough and comprehensive. She spent a significant amount of time trying to get at why, exactly, I was there and what I was hoping to get out of it. I really felt like she was listening to me and no question or thought was too silly or off-base to discuss. The breadth and depth of her knowledge is insane and the things she surmised from my answers, my pulse and whatever else were right on target. Then the session started and, to my amazement, the needles didn't hurt at all. Either I've gotten tougher (unlikely) or she is such a pro that she knows exactly what she is doing. As she put them in, she explained the different points and what she was trying to do. I had hopes the acupuncture would help with pain and immune system which it has. What I don't think I was prepared for was the depth to which the session would help me relax. We're all so busy, and the opportunity to take some time just focusing on my breathing and personal wellness is such a gift. Ok, I've gone on long enough. Let me just say that, based on the couple of sessions I've now had, Nicole is going to be seeing me regularly for quite some time. I can not recommend her highly enough and I'm so grateful to her for making such a difference in helping me achieve my health and wellness goals.

Dr. Wang is a miracle worker. Back in July, I broke out into a very severe rash. I went to the…read moredoctor several times to try and identify the cause to no avail. They gave me steroid cream. They drew blood for allergies tests. Everything came back normal even the test for lobster, which I happen to know I am allergic to. When I eat lobster, my breathing becomes affected. Perplexed by the results, I called the doctor to tell him that I thought the tests were wrong. He was looking at my records and said to me, "Well, you're seeing the allergist on the 17th. In the meantime, you can do your own allergy testing." "What do you mean, Doctor?", I replied. "You can eat some lobster", he said. Dumbfounded, I lost my ability to speak for a moment. Then he said, "What happens when you eat it?" I said, "I can't breathe" to which he replied, "Oh. Don't do that." He then wished me luck and the phone call ended. So did my confidence in the medical establishment. During this whole debacle, my friend told me about Dr. Wang. A long time ago, she broke out into a serious rash and Dr. Wang healed her. After the phone call with my doctor, I decided to pay a visit to him. I went to his office mid-afternoon on a Tuesday, signed in and was seen almost immediately. Dr. Wang did a pulse reading on me, asked me some questions, and confirmed some things about my health (he said my lungs were weak which is true - I have asthma). We spoke for a few minutes and he asked me if I was able to drink the tea. I said yes. He mentioned that it did not taste good. That was okay with me. I was beginning to look like Jeff Goldblum in "The Fly" so I figured the taste might appeal to me or I would endure it out of desperation. He gave me the instructions on when and how to take the tea. Patients have the option of brewing the tea themselves or buying it pre-made; I opted for the latter. I had to wait for about 90 minutes for the tea to be ready which was totally fine with me. I ran some errands while I was waiting. The pulse reading was $20 and is free if you buy the tea. The tea, I am happy to say, is not the worst thing I have ever tasted. Based on some of the reviews here I anticipated it would taste like vomit. It is quite bitter and basically tastes like a herbal remedy. I probably would not chose this brew at Tealuxe but I have been able to drink it with no problem at all. I have about three teas left. The best part this whole thing is that the itching has subsided and my rash is almost completely gone. Dr. Wang is a true expert and healer. Some of the complaints on here are directed at the fact that he does not spend a lot of time with you. He doesn't have to. He is an expert and can accurately diagnosis within a very short amount of time. What I love about his approach is that it is truly holistic. He got to the root of the problem instead of just trying to get rid of the symptoms. Dr. Wang is a very nice man. I will go back to him in the future for other treatments. He healed me and I am very grateful to him.
