I already had an initial quote for repairs, but my insurance company wanted a second one. Not having dealt with an insurance claim I really didn't know where to start. It was important for me to ensure that I find a company that will get the work done, correctly. Based on multiple positive reviews I called to receive an estimate. Laurie was just great. She took her time, answered all my questions and laid out how they will get the repairs done. Then she scheduled our inspection/estimate. Pawel (Paul) came to the house to survey the damages. I was at work and my wife was at home. Pawel took his time, let my wife get me on the phone and answered all our questions. Pawel is a true gentleman and was very respectful of our time and property. I had a detailed estimate within 48 hours of Pawel's departure. Of course, waiting on the insurance company to go through their internal process was a pain, but Laurie maintained contact and did not pressure us in getting them there any sooner. As soon as our settlement was in Laurie was able to get us right onto the schedule. On the day of work the B&B Siding Team showed up at 7:45am with an army. Needed an entire new roof w/ shingles and rafter/structure/soffit and siding repairs. 6.5 hours later and I had a new roof! Weather delayed the gutter team but they again showed up as rescheduled and both Pawel and Laurie kept me apprised every step of the way. I have a full enclosed gutter and Pawel made sure the gutter install team was aware of that. Money well spent! The day before he was supposed to come a woman called and canceled. She told me Muhammad would call back in a few days and he never did. I left voicemails with him and he never called back. I called another gutter place and they fixed the gutters and downspout and even cleaned them out to fix the problem. He told me that it was strange he asked for a deposit for gutters. Now I leave messages about getting it back and nobody calls back. One time the voicemail said he was out of the country. Very unprofessional and surprised they actually called to cancel. Beware.

I figured a short drive for him would result in a slight savings for me. I asked him for an estimate over the phone but he insisted on coming over?!?!?! So I met up with him and he gets 5 stars for being timely. The estimator began to COMPLAIN to me about the difficulty of the job and the manpower required to complete such a task. He exclaimed a minimum of 2 men are required and it will take all day! REALLY? His estimate to CLEAN the debris from the roof gutters (3 sides) came to $750! REALLY? Honest business here? I then asked him what it would cost to clean my next door neighbor's roof gutters so that I can capitalize of some economies of scale here. The estimator then lowered his price to $450/house. REALLY? To make a long story short, I went with a STATEN ISLAND guy that gave me quote over the phone after sending in my house pic and he quoted me $175/house!!!! Why are manual laborers like this so dishonest? Whatever happened to honest day's work? Whatever happened to one's honesty? So much for religion, diversity, equity and inclusion?!?!?!? Lucas answered while on an existing job. He was very honest saying he can't drop by to make an assessment. Knowing the importance of the situation, he said he'll have his father drop by to take a look. The father (was it Joe?) came by as promised and saw that the previous roofer didn't put flashing around a portion of the chimney. He gave a couple of possible fixes and I picked the more expensive one. He gave me a break on price if i went with the more expensive fix which i appreciated. Before showing up for the work due to budgeting issues i changed to the lower price solution. He didn't have any problems with this change. He and his other son (not Lucas) came on the day as promised. The funny thing was I didn't know they were there until i heard banging outside! They ripped some of the old roof tiles, installed new flashing and overlay them with some leftover tiles I had laying around. They also caulked around other parts of the chimney. They cleaned up their mess. There were aome storms afterwards and no leak! Thx to Lucas for knowing the importance of the problem and having your father and brother fit me into their schedule. When he left I noticed that he had clogged my toilet. So you know I had to unclog it and it was like 1700 dollar gutter repair and then I was like the plumber in my own house.
