Family-friendly and delicious! We stopped by here for lunch and had an amazing experience. Customer service was awesome. The hostess, the waiter, and the chef were all amazing. The food was delicious and seasoned so well. The prices were very fair. The portions were very good, as we had a lot of leftovers to take home. The kids really enjoyed watching the food being cooked in front of them. We will definitely visit again. read more

Dinner this evening with my wife. Both eating from the all-you-can-eat menu. Service is good. Atmosphere is pleasant. Food quality is not bad and not good, cheap and mediocre. We are both offended by the predatory charges at the end of the meal. $1.00 per piece charge for excess uneaten food. A secret charge we are told about when we are done. The waiter should have announced this when we chose the all-you-can-eat menu. I usually don't read the contract fine print when eating at a restaurant. In turn, if the food was very good there would be no leftovers. read more

I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Super Ninja. This has always been one of my go-to spots for dinners, birthdays, and special occasions, but after this visit, I will not be coming back. We had a party of 15 people, yet the chef served us what looked like portions meant for a table of 7. I immediately noticed something was off when there were only about 4 eggs used in the fried rice for the entire table completely unreasonable for that many people. When I spoke up, the chef said he couldn't add more eggs because of "cameras," which made no sense. The attached photo shows my plate after he finished cooking and I hadn't even taken a single bite. The portions were clearly inadequate. I brought this to the server's attention, and she got the manager, Sandy. Unfortunately, he was incredibly rude, dismissive, and at one point even laughed at us while we were trying to explain that we weren't getting the correct portions. That alone was beyond disrespectful. He insisted that they "measure 300 pieces of rice per person" and claimed the cook did nothing wrong. I even showed him multiple plates from our table to prove how small the portions were, but he refused to fix it, saying that's what we ordered. To make matters worse, after our meal, I watched the same chef cook for a table of 7 people using the exact same bowl of rice, the same 4 eggs, and the same amount of noodles. That confirmed what we were saying the entire time, we were completely under-served. Paying $35 per meal and ending up with portions like this is unacceptable and it was nowhere near worth the price. When I mentioned that we come here often, the manager tried to dismiss that by saying he had never seen me before. That was honestly insulting. When I asked for a discount, he refused at first, saying he was "only the kitchen manager." It wasn't until I said I would be leaving a review that he offered a small 10% discount and even then, it was only because he admitted the cook was wrong. Overall, this experience was frustrating, disappointing, and embarrassing, especially in front of a large group. We used to love coming here, but the poor service, lack of accountability, disrespectful behavior, and inadequate portions completely ruined it for us. read more

Super Ninja - Hibachi Dinner - Japanese Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

Super ninja in the landstown common district of VB is a good place to try hibachi. We were really impressed with the showmanship of our cook, the food was what you would expect and their blue Hawaii cocktail was tasty. The only reason I can't give 5 stars is because they cook forgot we ordered chicken, it was an honest mistake and several people came to apologize and provide us an updated check. The prices are higher but you can expect that for hibachi. read more

My first time ordering my roll was good the edamame was slightly overcooked and service was pleasant is return the next time I'm in town.

I've been wanting to return to Super Ninja for quite some time so we decided to stop in on a Friday evening around 7pm. Unfortunately, we had to wait 30 mins before being seated which I thought was quite a wait considering the restaurant wasn't packed at all. As soon as we were seated, our server took our food and drink order. I decided on the Super Ninja which included steak, shrimp and chicken and also wanted to try the Sake flight which consisted of Dry, Unfiltered Nigori, Fuji Apple, and Peach Sake. The hibachi chef confirmed our orders before getting started. It's always entertaining to watch them light the grill and put on a show! Our food was prepared fairly quickly and everything tasted pretty good. The steak was more Well Done than Medium, which is what I suggested, but everything else was great and the Sake was very good. We sat next to some pretty fun people as well which also made the dinner even better. As we were leaving, they did apologize for the long wait which I thought was very nice. If you're looking for a nice hibachi restaurant, definitely try Super Ninja. read more

Love this place! They have the best volcano rolls ever. i moved across the country and travel for a living, and have found nothing comparable, and always visit when I come to visit family. Staff is always very friendly, and love the fact that if you want to do all you can eat sushi you can sit right at the bar, and separate hibachi rooms. Affordable all you can eat sushi (at least for me where west coast can be $40-$60 per person) read more

We came back again with a bunch of friends in a weekday and decided to do AYCE sushi. We didn't know they had this option. Apparently it's only available on weekdays. They have an extensive menu to order from so we ordered away and everything was so good. The kids sat at another table next to us and they ordered meals from the menu because they can't eat enough for AYCE. The servers were so nice and attentive. We can't wait to go back again! Also if you want a great martini, order the lychee martini. It's sooo good!!! read more

Super Ninja - Such a fun team dinner! - Japanese Near Me - Virginia Beach, Virginia

This was the worst Japanese Restaurant food I have experienced thus far. I did not complain because it was my son's birthday celebration. The yum yum sauce was definitely "honey mustard" but the chef claimed it was their version of yum yum. The lo mein noodles clearly was spaghetti noodles and had no flavor. The rice was overcooked. The shrimp, chicken and vegies were not seasoned. For hibachi combination of chicken and shrimp it did not come complimentary with salad. soup only!!! Meal was $30 for myself plus 18% gratuity! Each person had 18% gratuity! A first and last experience for me at Super Ninja! read more

I have been searching for good hibachi and FINALLY! Stumbled across this place on Friday afternoon. Restaurant was empty, we were greeted and seated right away. Service was great from the server and cook. Loved the fact that they use garlic in their hibachi( not everyone does ) . Appetizer I had gyoza, had the hibachi steak and chicken and my daughter had the salmon and steak. They also do noodles and rice( SCORE) Everything was delicious. I appreciated the acknowledgment of my daughters shellfish allergy and them adjusting accordingly. I also had a Washington Apple Martini and my friend had a Long Island and they were not stingy on the drinks. Overall restaurant was clean and I can tell they are busy at peak hours. This is our new hibachi spot. read more

Always always always fun. It's like dinner and a show. I'm like a kid with my eyes wide open when they do their wonderful tricks. I find myself clapping because it's great. My favorite is group participation. The food is always good. Service here is consistently good. We have come to this location ever since they have been open. We usually call ahead for reservations because we usually have a big group. We have also dined on the side without the hibachi. Still good service and good food. You can order off the menu. We have only eaten that way twice. We usually come here for the hibachi read more

Quick friendly service. Great selection. Food was very good for an all you can eat menu.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. We came for the AYCE sushi but left with a new favorite dish. The mango chicken dish here is the absolute best thing I have had in a long time. I am not typically a fan of "hot fruit" but I tried it and I was hooked. The sushi is great with a few unique twists and the overall quality is amazing. We came for the food but our waitress was very fun and very funny. The food is great but our waitress made the experience of dining here lively and so different than any other AYCE sushi place that I have ever been to. The menu is huge and the sushi is made to order. I found the restaurant to be a little dark but what's wrong with a little mood lighting... I suppose. There is ample parking and lots of stores near by to walk off the rolls. Happy Eating Yeeps!!! read more

My family and I came here to celebrate my grandfather's 85 birthday. The staff was patient and friendly considering there were a lot of us (25+). They seated us at two stations close to one another, quickly provided us with menus, and took our drink orders. I ordered the Green Ninja Martini. I forgot to take a pic, but the drink was a bit sweet and syrupy. I wish they added more sake. I ended up with only one drink for the night. After the drinks were served, the chef arrived to prepare the food we ordered while giving us a nice show. The food and service were pretty decent. The food is served hot and fresh. Make sure you try their yum yum sauce. I have no idea what it is but it tastes great with everything! I wouldn't mind coming here again whenever I decide to take the trip down south. Overall it was a great experience! read more

I've ordered take out from here a few times and it's been okay so I came in with my family. OUR SERVER WAS A 10/10 the establishment was a 0/10. We were a party of 6. It was a special occasion and we made a reservation for 6:30 right when they opened at 11 since it was a Saturday and we knew they would be busy. We showed up at 6:15 and had to wait which was fine as we were a bit early. Didn't get sat until 7. We still were not upset as they were quite busy. We started to get frustrated however when it was 8 and we still had nobody cooking our food and they wouldn't even give us salad as compensation for us waiting forever. Server said he wasn't allowed to give us the ginger salad while we waited. People that came after us got service and we asked the server what was up and he was like oh we busy and he was like should be 10 more minutes. It was another 30...will not be wasting another 2 hours of my life here for the chef to start cooking us our food JUST FOR THE NOODLES TO BE ICE COLD WHEN PUT ON OUR PLATES SMH. $300 dinner what a disappointment. read more

Let me preface saying I love the dinner hibachi.. they offer soup, salad, main hibachi dinner with noodles, rice, vegetables and meat of course. It is cooked well and taste great! Now with this particular visit. I took my daughter to lunch and it was just us and another two guests. Our server wasn't very friendly but we weren't worried. We were hungry. Now to the food. The portion is incredibly small even for a lunch portion. I've been to several hibachI places for lunch and dinner and this is by far the smallest portion. We could only choose soup or salad, no noodles and not very much meat. Just finished our food and I'm still starving. Typically I'm bringing food home. In summary I was disappointed at the lunch. read more

We've been looking for hibachi noodles and found exactly what we were hoping for! Also the substitutes they allow are very accommodating.

We frequent this restaurant regularly. After tonight probably will not be back. We go for the experience, as well as the food. While waiting for our reserved table, we asked to get beers. Never happened. Bartender told us they had to make drinks first and would get to us when they could. Seated at table, waitress came, no hello, good evening, my name is...., the ONLY time we saw the waitress was taking our orders, brought first drinks, brought soup. Never came to our table again until bringing the check. Never asked about more drinks, even though we were all sitting there with empty glasses most of the meal. Never asked about dessert. After she brought soup we sat there for 27 minutes with no contact from anyone before chef showed up. They were not busy. Several open tables. As far as food, used to be soup and salad. No more salad due to expense. Could order a salad, but no one informed us of the option. It's always been a part of the dinner. Portions less. Fried rice had no vegetables. Raise the prices a few bucks and quit cutting back on quality and quantity. Then they automatically added 20% gratuity. Definitely not worth a $52 tip. And I have no problem with automatic gratuity and always tip at least 20-25% tip. But I expect at least decent service. So very disappointed. Looking for new hibachi place! read more

If I could give zero stars I would. Our family dined here one night and as I watched the overweight chef preparing our food, he was sweating profusely and I witnessed the sweat drop off the end of his nose right onto the food he was cooking at our table. That was it for me. Totally disgusting! The manager offered to make me something else and to quote her specifically, she said "we will make you something special from our kitchen ". Yeah, I don't think so! The worst part was the chef guy had a hand towel on his shoulder. He couldn't use it to wipe his sweat? Gross! read more

I am soooo very pleased with the experience we had tonight with our party of 16 for my mother-in-laws birthday celebration. We had tried to go to shoguns originally but they were not accommodating even with a reservation. (I'll have a review for them). Our chefs were so funny and kind! The food was absolutely amazing. Every last one of us including the kids devoured their food and truly enjoyed it. The portions were huge! The flavor was amazing. This is hands-down the best I've had in the 757. It is also the only hibachi restaurant that offers noodles as well as rice. There may be other restaurants that offer this, I just haven't been to them. I called about a week in advance to reserve space for 15 people, as my son wanted to do this for his birthday. He said all of his friends were broke so he just wanted adults at his birthday party. LOL From the service to the food everything went exactly as planned, it was an impeccable experience. After I paid the bill, I then realized that if I had checked in on yelp I would have saved some money. I hate it when that happens. I need to remember to always get on Yelp before doing anything. I was just too caught up in the moment. Anyway, I got the same thing I always get and that is the hibachi combo. It includes shrimp, steak and chicken. I had some sushi as well, and I am very particular with what type of sushi that I eat. Pretty basic, shrimp tempura, add cream cheese. It was pretty busy, and I didn't feel rushed when it was time for me to ask them to bring out my sons birthday cake. They bought extra plates and knives to cut it with and even asked if we'd like ice cream. Overall I would say I had a successful birthday dinner for my broke best friend! read more

The food served at the tables away from hibachi is much lower quality. The service is fine and pretty quick.
