I have had trouble with acrylics in the past in that the tips that are glued on tend to ping off as they are more curved than my nail beds and don't adhere properly. The beauty (pun intended) here is that they don't use said precut tips. Nails are sculpted with white and pink acrylic powder which is done so very deftly, it looks like child's play, which I'm pretty certain it isn't. The ladies are both lovely, welcoming and friendly, and chatting felt in no way scripted like it can in some places (Special occasion /going on holidays/weather etc) it felt like having a natter with an old friend. Very impressed with the results, the price and the service and they have a new regular customer. They may only be small and independent but they've got it nailed (see what I did there?) I've already recommended them to a few of my friends. UPDATE Just a week after getting my acrylics done the one on my pinky snapped off. Gave them a call and they fitted me in an hour later for a free repair. Can't get better than that for service! Utterly brilliant!

Friendly team and excellent service. Harriet is fast and my gel nails always look fab and last longer than any others I've had in the past. You also get offered a complimentary glass of bubbles which goes down a tear while getting your nails pampered. Gel nails cost £22 with removal of previous set included. I recently had my gels off which is £5 or free with any service, so I opted for a file and polish which cost £8 and lasted literally 10 days before it started to chip. Amazing! You can book online and I would highly recommend Harriet's service for nails. I can't comment on other beauticians as haven't experienced their services.

Conversation with Harriet is never stilted but not too much; she's normal and friendly and down to earth. She doesn't judge me for my low pain threshold and gets the job done quickly and as pain free as possible. It's excellent value for money and a lovely salon too. A very personal service, and you even get a discount in the week running up to and just after your birthday! Couldn't recommend them more!

I was first introduced to Bella Spa a few years ago by a friend who regularly gets her nails done here. I used to get my nails done regularly too but at present I tend to go when I have a special occasion. I prefer Gellish to Shellac as in my opinion they tend to last longer. They always have a wonderful selection of colours to choose from. Angela and her staff are fantastic, I thoroughly enjoy my visits. You can even take your own bubbly with you and they'll provide you with glasses! The location is perfect, just behind Primark so it's very central. The building doesn't look like a spa from the outside but once you get inside that changes immediately. It's appointment only so make sure you ring before you go.

If you want luxury, pampering and fitness - then this is your place. The spa and health club are never packed full and on numerous occasions I have had the swimming pool to myself. The pool is 1.4m deep and approximately 15 x 10 metres. There is a chill out area surrounding the pool, along with a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. The gym offers a good range of equipment, including two running machines, three cross trainers, four bikes, one rowing machine, two weights machines and more. There is also a weights room for those wanting to focus! After exercising, the changing rooms have powerful hot showers with Gilchrist and Soames shower gel, shampoo and conditioner. Also great hairdressers and straightners for the ladies! Want some pampering? There are various packages - a day or couple of hours etc. Facials and massages tried and tested - and I would highly recommend them. If you go for the Premier club (gym, pool, sauna etc) membership you get a complimentary spa treatments per month - so cool! Lush green apples are beautifully displayed for you to munch on after exercising or your pampering session and two choices of newspapers to read as you chill out. Cost wise - pretty good value for what you get. Love it love it!

My second review of Re'Voil Hair and Beauty, as my first one, however honest, was removed…read more I did not get the cut I asked for/described to the stylist at this salon, and had to have it corrected elsewhere, although the good points included friendly staff and decent prices. I was served coffee from a chipped, dirty mug - one of my bugbears - however, I did receive an apology from the salon's proprietor and the offer of a free haircut. Not a place I'd recommend.
