From being a student, I would make my way once a month to nail queen to have my false frenchies put in place. This weekend I came home for a wedding and was in desperate need of my nails doing and off I tottered back to Nail Queen - the place I'd always relied on. The same husband and wife still reside and the same, as with all nail salons, is instantly recognisable. I was seated straight away and hands grabbed forward. From memory, I always preferred the wife to do my nails but this time it was the husband. They're quick and efficient but I always feel that the wife just cares that little bit more. I left, 70% happy. Some of my nails were slightly wonky and the colour of had put on (dark red) had ran onto me fingers but this washed straight off. When and if I'm home again, and in need of my nails doing I will probably always return here. I know the place, it's trustworthy and it's £25 for a good set of gel nails - can't ask for much more really?!

You can have union jack or glitter on them. They have some amazing photos of work that they have done. I love having a facial here or a manicure. It is relaxing and all the staff are a great help and nice to talk to. They make you comfortable by offering you tea and juice. They stock products to and have a lot of knowledge rather than just making you but them, they explain what they do and whether or not it will be helpful to use. Friendly team and excellent service. Harriet is fast and my gel nails always look fab and last longer than any others I've had in the past. You also get offered a complimentary glass of bubbles which goes down a tear while getting your nails pampered. Gel nails cost £22 with removal of previous set included. I recently had my gels off which is £5 or free with any service, so I opted for a file and polish which cost £8 and lasted literally 10 days before it started to chip. Amazing! You can book online and I would highly recommend Harriet's service for nails. I can't comment on other beauticians as haven't experienced their services.
