I have no idea what the stylist was thinking but she butchered the crown of my hair, taking it so short that it didn't match up with the rest of the cut. I was mortified and would never return, but ended up having to have my hair cut very short at a different salon to match the scalping I had received at Heaven! Better call this salon Hell.

I just…read moreexplained that I needed the volume reducing and that the more she chopped into the mass, the happier I'd be. So the stylist cut a few layers in and then asked if I was happy with the cut, I reiterated that I really did want the sheer volume reducing, as I'd stated at the beginning of the appointment. She point blank refused to thin out my hair, claiming that volume can only be taken off the ends. I've never been told by a hairdresser that using thinning scissors, or razors is not a possibility - in fact it's what they've always used. So, I'm stuck with a mushroom top, with thinned out sides. Maybe I was unlucky, I wasn't prepared to argue about the complete rubbish I was being told - I just won't be returning.

I had quite a wait to be served, despite only one person's hair being finished off and when I saw their hair I was shocked they had paid £35 for it as it looked alot worse than another salon could. My Haircut was not great either, I asked him to take what is sticking out out of my hair and give it a trim however although it looks slightly better, the back of my hair is awful and cut so bad I will have to visit another barbershop to have this finished off. I was annoyed that the barber did not have his equipment with him hence he took a good 5-10 minutes getting what he needed throughout the haircut and he also continued to catch me with his razor and scissors as well as being very heavy handed, what made it quite a painful experience. I am surprised at this shocking experience what turned out to be a waste of time and a waste of money when Phillip and Graham has been opened for so long.

I've had the same hairdresser - the wonderful Kim - sat in the same chair, and had a lot of the same laugh out loud conversations. Even with me moving down to London 2 years ago, I have always come back home,to Royton, to have my hair cut and have a good old catch up with the girls at Scruples One. I trust Kim completely with my hair, she always does a fantastic job and I can even trust her when it comes to chopping in my extensions which for me is a biggy! I literally have have nothing negative say about Scruples and will probably be getting my hair cut here forever more. To note: - Amanda is also an amazing hairdresser and owns the shop! She always has a smile on her face! - Emma is a LOL a minute and will make your hair look insane with her styling techniques!

I called in Salon Sienna to continue my long search to find a hair dressers, with "complex" needs…read morethat local barbers and salons have failed to meet. This salon is a decent size, with a few staff working, the entrance is quite narrow, and they is music playing, so is basically your traditional local salon when it comes to appearance and basics features, as mentioned above. I was still very disappointed with Salon Sienna, as for a non-city centre barbers the price is quite high, and was around £8 if I remember correctly, just for simply a quick job. It seemed rather than following my wish, they just basically "tidied" my hair up, and simply barely cut anything off, which meant within days I knew I would need a new hair cut, and just a week or so on it seems I'm going to have to go somewhere to finish the job, which after paying that amount, it is simply unacceptable. My barber did catch me a few times, and apologized once, but she never seemed too friendly otherwise, not making any "small talk" or even saying "Good evening", which is also a sign of a poor hairdresser, and I feel like it also makes me feel like customer service is lacking here, as well as a good final product, which isn't just a lazy, tidy up job.
