I picked this company based on the various yelp reviews. We requested a move in clean which was planned 3 hours before the movers were coming with our furniture, etc.. in hindsight I probably shouldn't have booked this so close in time to the movers but we had an unplanned, urgent timeline (and yes cleaning effort the movers arriving was a little nutty but was attempting to just get a top layer of grime off of things). The initial interaction was quick and efficient but that's where the service ended. We have a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath home and two women showed up - late, with coffees in hand and had the worst attitudes. During the cleaning, I was also cleaning and rearranging the kitchen cabinets and the one woman kept glaring at me haha. It made our time together very awkward and uncomfortable. After the cleaning was over, which seemingly went on forever haha they had me go inspect all of the rooms and....the bathroom essentially hadn't been touched nor had the cabinets through the house. I didn't really have time - nor did I feel comfortable - asking if they could go through it again so I said it's fine. Then they tried to give me a business card so I could rebook them but all I could think about is how I never wanted them to return again. About a month ago I unfortunately ordered a service from that company. I paid more then $200 for so called cleaning. In 25!!! minutes the team called me to come back since they already finished. General cleaning was kind of OK. I still needed to clean after they left, but at least they did some cleaning. Btw it was moving out cleaning and the apartment itself wasnt dirty, I just needed to wipe the dust, clean the fridge etc. But the main reason for my 1 star review is windows. I paid $40 for that. When we came back I specifically asked them if they cleaned the windows and they said they did. I tend to trust people when they tell me directly in my face that they did the job so I didn't want to check it in front of them while they were standing in a row waiting for my decision. After they left I took a piece of paper towel and wiped the window. The paper towel turned GRAY! They didn't even wipe the dust!!! They lied to me after I paid them $240 for TWENTY FIVE MINUTES CLEANING! I almost forgot about these people, even though I was so angry at them. But two days ago I received an email from them asking to rate the service. After I rate them with a sad red smile face the site told me that I cannot rate them because the link expired! I was holding off on writing this review...but here it goes. I am in the market for a biweekly cleaning service and when I researched I came upon Super Maids. I called to get a quote and to make an appointment for a deep clean. They were supposed to be here at 9am and to my surprise one of the girls showed up at 8:40, which was great, the second girl showed up maybe 30/40 mins later. I showed her around my house and explained everything that needed to be done, I figured they know what a deep clean is. After they left I went to look around and was disappointed that a lot of corners were left unswept and in the bathroom they barley cleaned the shower and some of my furniture was not dusted/cleaned and a few mirrors too. I called to give feedback and the owner told me to send an email and that someone would get back to me within 24 hours, well it's 144 hours later and no response. Hence the review. I was happy to think I could obtain their service on a biweekly basis but I would NOT recommend this company to anyone. They need to train their employees better and grasp the understanding of deep cleaning. read more

I hired them to do a move out clean! The apartment was completely empty and I wasnt there when they came. They were about 45 mins early then I was told of their arrival time. They did a GREAT job on the fridge and windowsills. Only concern was that there was still some dust on the floors and on the stairs. Perhaps particular areas were rushed. We needed to book a move-out cleaning last minute for our apartment. I called and spoke to Michael who immediately gave me all the information I needed, clearly and concisely. It was so easy to schedule. We were able to leave the door unlocked and the two who came to clean got the job done and let themselves out. When we went back to do a final check before turning in our keys, I was so thrilled. So many stains that I could never get out were gone. Everything looked spotless. Left cleaning solution around the oven edges. Didn't even clean the fridge drawer. Dust under books. Dust under furniture. Didn't take the garbage out. Instead, left the garbage bag by the trash can. This was the worst experience I've had in recent memory. Scheduled a 9:30 am cleaning for our tiny 1 bedroom apartment that we just moved out of. Waited in the parking lot for the maid, called at 9:35, was told the guy behind the desk would check the maid's GPS and get right back to us. He did, super apologetic, explaining that he'd mistakenly scheduled her to show up at 10. Ok, not a huge deal. He said she's leaving NYC now. Um, and be in Westport at 10? Fast forward an hour of waiting in the parking lot, another few phone calls, including one guy yelling apologies that the maid received bad directions from a tow truck driver and should be in West Point soon. No, we're in Westport... ok, he'll call back in 5 minutes. She doesn't have directions to our apartment? Really? Now 2 hours after the scheduled appointment and no returned call, we call someone new (actually same guy from 9:35) he's shocked no one has shown up! He'll call us back in 2 minutes, GUARANTEED. 15 minutes later we call him. he says the maid's phone is turned off. But he can get a NEW maid to the apartment in 25 minutes. Couldn't that have just happened when you realized you forgot my appointment 2 hours ago? We cancelled the service and are staring at the charge pending on my debit card ($169 for 700 square feet?!!). I told myself paying this outrageous price would certainly be worth it, and the multiple text message and email confirmations gave me hope it would be a solid, stress-free service. Couldn't be further from reality. What a waste of my time and now I get to figure out when I'll be able to come back up to Westport and clean myself. Zero stars. read more

I am pregnant, 5 days from my due date, so needless to say I cannot clean even our small apartment by myself currently. So I hired a team from Supermaids to clean and shampoo the carpet. Just as a PSA, the carpet shampoo is not a real carpet shampoo. We have had professional carpet cleaning twice now and I know that it takes at least 8 hours to dry. This crew has a small machine similar to a vacuum that doesn't get the carpet totally wet, and is able to dry in just 30 minutes. Had I known, I would NOT have paid for this extra add on. The machine is just not of the same caliber that we had previously, and I paid Supermaids almost as much. I was unable to get a refund on this, my only option was to have the same crew come back and do it again. The trouble spots unfortunately remain; it's just not a true carpet shampoo, it's more like a light carpet rinsing. After the first cleaning, some things looked good - the crew did the dishes, which was nice, and made the bed. Both sinks looked pretty good. However some basics were missed - the carpets were not vacuumed all the way to the edges of the room, leaving dust bunnies between the wall and carpet. The blinds and baseboards were not dusted, and the linoleum in the kitchen and bathroom did not look mopped (still had superficial spots on it.) I did call Supermaids to voice my disappointment and they said they would have the crew come back. The Supermaids team is quite pleasant to work with, but between the crew being late (both times,) the refusal to refund me the cost of the "carpet shampoo," and my overall disappointment with the cleaning, I cannot give out more stars. It probably all depends on the crew that you get. What it comes down to is - if I'm going to pay for a cleaning, I'd like the cleaning to be of a higher level. The second round of cleaning resolved a few issues (vacuuming seems complete, baseboards and blinds are fine.) Supermaids staff did check in with me - the customer service was certainly better than the actual service I received. It's just a let down because this was a level of cleaning I could have done on my own. As a really pregnant person, I'm just too tired to push the issue. They absolutely did not disappoint - booking online was a piece of cake and a 2 person crew arrived right on time. They were lovely and highly efficient - the apartment was pristine within an hour. All the surfaces we haven't been able to get perfectly clean (our shower tiles, stainless steel appliances, etc) are now gleaming and it feels like a whole new home. I have been getting bi-weekly cleanings from Super Maids for the past 6 weeks now and each time I'm amazed at how clean my townhouse looks and feels! The first time I used them it was a last minute booking and they were able to fit me in within 24 hours. The owner was very communicative throughout the booking process and even followed up with me after the cleaning was done to see how everything went. The cleaners are very friendly, on-time (and if they are running late they call/txt you) and do a great job with their cleaning. Being able to book online and use my credit card is also a bonus. I used Super Maids one time a few months ago. I found the cleaning to be mediocre - they missed sweeping under the bed, and did not do a great job sweeping my stairs. I also paid extra for them to clean my oven and they did a terrible job there. The company requested feedback from me to see how I liked the service. I explained that while the housekeeper was very sweet and polite, she did miss some areas of cleaning, which I itemized. The response from the company was "thank you for your feedback. We'd love to have (insert name of same housekeeper) assigned to cleaning your house on a weekly basis." Ummm...I think not. I just told you I wasn't satisfied with the quality of the service. Add to that they charge more than their competition, and I never used them again. read more

I signed up as a result of different positive reviews, hoping for a nice clean home to be at over the Christmas break and spend the holiday not stressing about cleaning or other household chores for a change - and get to spend quality time instead with family. Murphy's Law surprised me, and the service I had signed up for had to be cancelled within hours, as I wondered whether the night would end with me in the ER. Cancellation e-mail in hand, I felt somewhat comforted.... but my account was still charged. For everything, including the tip. I called and left a message, and never received a call back. Their owner refutes this constantly yet I have only just recently verbally spoken with someone (on 1/25). When I saw that the charges finalized, I sent out an e-mail on their website accusing SuperMaids of being thieves. The response I received stated that, for calling them thieves, they would be happy to keep the charge in place and "defend them selves" should they be contacted regarding a dispute over the charge. I was refused further service and not given credit, despite acknowledging their cancellation policy. At the time of this writing, it is January 25th, a full month and some after the initial request for service. What has started off as hoping for a clean home for the holiday has turned into a bitter pill, as SuperMaids has essentially refused to communicate with me respectfully - even now, for posting this review, I was told I am on a path of lies by their customer care team. I don't even know how good their service is. I just know that they are more willing to treat me poorly after the fact than they are in trying to maintain good customer service. Their owner has since responded to my reviews with personal information. Petty. P.S. The owner consistently states that I never claimed to cancel. I received an automated e-mail showing that I cancelled. I have been called a jerk by their CSR. I have had it thrown in my face that the bank's investigation IS STILL ON GOING. Whether or not I receive a proper refund, the barrage of responses to my reviews, the interruptions and refusal to work with me in what is a simple issue of "I cancelled my appointment but was charged in full; please refund" has yet to come to a conclusion. read more

They arrived an hour later and right on time. The apartment was visibly clean (there was quite a lot of dust along the floor molding) as were the interior and exterior of all cabinets. I was very disappointed in my service with Super Maids. I recently booked the 'Move In / Out' cleaning for our house as we prepare for new tenants. The booking process with very smooth and we agreed that the keys would be under the mat for them. After the clean I went over to the house to check it out and was completely horrified. There was food scrapings and dust on the floors in the kitchen and in one of the bathrooms. The counter tops in the Kitchen were still dirty and there were a few other issues I was not happy with. I called them and explained I was dissatisfied with the service and laid out my concerns. They were deeply apologetic and agreed to send a team back out to the house the next morning. I left the areas of concern on the countertop. When I went back to the house I was still disappointed. While the traces of food left behind had been cleared up and there was an improvement, there was still dust and other random little bits on the floor. I went over to my fire place and swept my hand over the mantel and there was dust all over my hand. I will say that while I was very impressed with their smooth booking, updates via text and willingness to come back to rectify the situation with the house, I was not impressed with the cleaning and will not use this service again. read more

Really disappointed in this service - I was really excited to have our newly purchased home cleaned prior to move in and followed all the instructions and was honest about what was needed, the size of the home and paid for all the upgrades and bells and whistle's for it to have a super clean. I was left disappointed and ended up having to re-clean each room myself. Furthermore, the follow up to my disappointment was barely met with concern. Booking online was convenient and the prices seemed very reasonable compared to some of the other places I got a quote from. The crew arrived within 15 minutes of their stated time and by the time they left, my 2 bedroom apartment looked far better than the day I moved in. They sent a team of 4 cleaners and they were done in about an hour which was crazy fast but everything looked amazing. I got my full security deposit back and back to Cali I went. Awesome service. I've always been hesitant to hire cleaners in the past because I have no idea if I can trust them and it's a hassle to be on the phone to book while busy at work. Booking with Super Maids took maybe 2 minutes and my time was confirmed right away. They needed to move my appointment to 30 mins earlier than I asked, and gave me a discount to make up for it (even though it was not a big deal AT ALL). The cleaners arrived promptly for the cleaning, even a few minutes early, and left the place looking even better than it did when I moved in. This is the first time I had hired a cleaning service and based on your reviews, I had high hopes. Booking online was a breeze. I knew upfront what I was supposed to get and how much I was paying for it. Within minutes my appointment was confirmed. I had an appointment scheduled for 10:00. It was for a move in clean and I indicated I would be there to let the ladies in. At 9:55 I received a call that they were delayed and would not be at my house till 11:30. I told the woman on the phone I had other appointments and would leave the door unlocked for them. When I returned to the house at 1:30, they still had not arrived. I called back the woman I spoke with earlier who informed that they got "held up" and would be there shortly. When I pointed out this was 3 and a half hours passed my original appointment time she did apologize, but told me she did not understand why it was such a big deal since I was just going to leave the house open. I was very irritated at the situation. When the women arrived at my house, they apologized again for the tardiness. They were kind and friendly and seemed sincerely apologetic. I reviewed a few things with them and was on my way. My review of the cleaning job is mixed. The bathroom fixtures including the toilet were nicely cleaned, but the shelves and window ledges were still dirty. The carpet we had washed looked very nice. It did not appear that any of the cabinet or drawers were cleaned out. The oven and refrigerator looked fine. While I was walking around the house my two infant children were crawling happily. When I picked them up to leave their hands, pants and socks were very dirty. They had not been when we arrived. I understand it is impossible to get every bit of dirty, but there is absolutely no reason my children should be that dirty from crawling on a floor in an unoccupied house that was cleaned 2 days ago. Having the floor professional cleaned was one of the main reasons we decided to hire a service. Overall, this was not the experience I had hoped for. While the women were lovely, I feel the cleaning job was less then average based on the cost, and being three and a half hours late without a follow up call is very unprofessional. read more
