We hired Derek to replace a cedar deck that was damaged. After getting multiple bids we gave a…read moredeposit in April and were scheduled for work in June. A few days before the job was to start, Derek told us he made a mistake on the cost of the cedar and the materials would now be double the original price. He also quoted us the job would take one day plus a second day to add cement footers. For some reason the two days turned into five and we were also charged more for labor than quoted.
