Absolutely delicious drinks! I came here twice while I was a tourist in Coventry! For my first…read moredrink I tried a tropical fruit tea with cherry bubble balls. It was so sweet and tasty that I had to force myself not to guzzle it down, and drink it slowly. I had to revisit the tea shop for another drink, because in my hometown we don't have any bubble tea shops like this one! On my second visit I had a bubble gum milkshake with blueberry bubble balls. This was my favorite drink. If I had more time in Coventry I would have returned again and again! I love the fun atmosphere of the shop with the bright colors! The staff was very friendly and helpful in recommending which bubbles go best with each drink.

Bubble Boba is THE most amazing bubble tea shop in the world!…read more I don't say that biasedly because I'm in there almost every day and have tried all of the drinks on the menu... But because it's The Truth! They use the best ingredients, straight from manufacturers in Taiwan, which is where bubble tea originated from; everything certified by the EU and UK laws. Both Bubble Boba shops (Coventry & Cardiff) are an experience within themselves! From the really cool and fun decor, to the knowledgeable and friendly staff... I've never had a bad experience! Except maybe from the UK weather! The drink flavours are fun and unique, and many say taste "Just Like Home"! I've only been able to find Hokkaido Milk Tea in California, but Bubble Boba has it, along with Classic, Taro and other traditional flavours. They even have their own range of Cheesecake Drinks which are out of this world! Who would have thought to drink a cheesecake for dessert!? Hands down, Bubble Boba is the best. But don't take my word for it... check out their 99.9% of 5-star reviews across all platforms. :) People drive for hours to get their hands around those sealed cups to pop a giant straw through it to obtain pure happiness! If you're craving an amazing delicious bubble tea... I'll see you at Bubble Boba!

There's something really drawing about the whole place, I mean there's neon lemon signs for goodness sake. I'd been to other bubble tea places before, and I think the Happy Lemon focuses less on bubble tea flavours and varieties and more on differed oddities all together. You also have more customisation here than ever, what kind of sweetness you have have your drink (30%,50%,100% etc.) our server even made suggestions and recommendations on what we ordered. She was also really patient whilst we tried out the different 'cheese foams'. This place is perfect if you want a drink but are bored of coffee and don't fancy alcohol. I'll be honest I was really sceptical of Dan's 'Green Tea with Rock salted cheese' but it works! Think caramel salted latte, but if anything way more refreshing.

The Birmingham Happy Lemon is a fairly new bubble tea and specialty drink store with inspired…read moreflavours that you'd find on the streets of Taipei. The chain is barely a decade old and already has amassed 500+ stores across the world. While the name suggests an abundance of lemons, you'll find that and more with a plethora of very interesting boba combinations. Some of the menu items are milk based while others are simply a refreshing tea. In total, you have drinks divided into the following categories: milk tea, rock salted cheese, lemon smoothies, milk tea smoothies, fresh lemon tea, fruit matcha latte, and a variety of specialty drinks. This is the first boba bar I've seen with rock salted cheese as a flavour, and it's apparently one of their more well-known drinks. Happy Lemon is well sited between New Street Station and the Chinese Quarter. I've found that it's the perfect after dinner treat on the way home or a good way to jump-start a night out. The drinks come in a medium or large size, and the price can vary widely depending on what ingredients you request. There is also an additional surcharge to make some of the drinks hot. I've tried a couple of the drinks so far, and I feel that their fresh teas are a real strength of the brand. They are seriously refreshing, with most balancing between sweet and sour on the flavour profile. I can see myself drinking them a lot more this summer when it's warm out. I've also tried their more experimental flavours, such as the red bean & pudding matcha latte made hot. It's basically caramel (or mango) pudding mixed with milk and red beans. As a hot drink, it's great on cold nights. The drink may sound unconventional for some people, but it's worth trying at least once. If you like Happy Lemon's drinks and plan on visiting here often, I suggest signing up for their 'LoyalTea' loyalty card. It costs £5 up front, but you get a free drink of your choice. Each drink purchased gives you 1 point, which can either be redeemed for Happy Lemon branded merchandise (Happy Lemon iPhone case here I come) or at 10 points, a free drink. Overall, Happy Lemon does a great job focusing on one product that it does really well.

I've heard of bubble tea before and in honesty tried it from here before but being so excited yet…read moreinexperienced I probably picked a really bizarre combination. Lychee juice with tapioca balls - yay... The lychee juice was really nice but not with the pudding balls. This time around I went for black tea, cold with the tapioca balls (I'd heard those are the best ones) and I was happy with this combo - don't mess with the classics. The staff were friendly, the place clean and the menu extensive. Frozen yoghurt also available which sounds great in the summer. A point to make though is those tapioca balls are really really filling. I felt like I'd eaten a meal after I was done so maybe give them a miss if you've just eaten.

I've collected stamps on their loyalty card and had a free drink already! They have a great range of bubble teas, bubble coffees and the slush ones (which I haven't tried yet) as well as frozen yoghurt etc. Today I bought the Rose bubble coffee and had the tapioca pearls and coffee jelly. You can have drinks cold (with or without ice), warm or even hot. My drink was sweet but nice. You do need a spoon to get the tapioca and jelly out at the end... I think I need to perfect my suck action ha ha You can use your NUS card to get a discount and they do charge a fee if you pay by card.

After seeing Dave P's photos and hearing him rave about this place, I knew I had to go. I've had a…read morebit of a week of new discoveries this week, so when I was invited to a late meeting at Millenium Point (with this coffee shop being situated just around the corner), I was presented with the perfect opportunity to go and give it a go for myself. It's got a cute looking exterior, with a modern feel in steely grey and bright pink. With their location, I would think they would mainly attract a student crowd, but it wasn't busy on my visit (between 4:30 - 5:45pm). Inside the venue is clean, modern and there is plenty of seating to be had. On the right hand side of the shop is a widescreen TV and area with comfy high backed seats and on the left is a selection of low and high tables to sit at. The counter shows off a number of tasty treats for purchase. I knew that I was having a cake before I got in (I even knew I wanted a bubblegum cake after hearing Dave talk about it), but the other pastry and cakey treats did provide a tough choice of when I got up to order. As well as sweets, they also do sandwiches and some savory dishes (so it could be a good spot to pop in for lunch). I took advantage of their "any cake and hot drink for £3.45" offer, but there was also an offer for beers after 6pm, concrete cake and a couple of other bargains to be had (depending on what you wanted and the time of day it was). To go with my rainbow cake treat, I opted for a vanilla latte. Once I had placed my order, I was told to take a seat and it would be bought over for me. This shop does have free wifi (under the code of a BT Hub), you just need to ask the staff for the code. This is invaluable in this part of the city; as signal isn't great for me around Eastside. My drink and cake were bought to me within a couple of minutes of placing the order. The cake was just as good as it looked! Light, fluffy and sugary; it was devoured within a couple of minutes. The coffee was pretty good, not as strong as I would have liked, but very nice regardless. I was having such a nice time working away that I later ordered a watermelon bubble tea. This was also excellent (and great value at £2.50). If you are ever around the Jennens Road side of the city and hankering for a cake or a coffee - I would 100% recommend CoffeeKup.

A quick trip inside shows a small business with a very clean and vibrant atmosphere, perfectly presented cakes and patisseries full of colour immediately catch the eye. The drastic mix of pink and wooden furniture offset themselves and the mix of classic seats, high stools and sofas provide respite for all demographics, though the seating is very limited. Chillers behind the counter contain a classic mix of wkd and Stella, perfect for the student digs perched overhead. The staff were friendly and service was quick and with a smile. Coffee was fairly priced and what you would expect quality wise from this sort of small venture, nothing extravagant but a good coffee nonetheless, may take use of this one in the run up to assignment hand ins!
