Watch out for pickpocketers!!!! We are seasoned travelers and are always aware of our surroundings and these guys got us! I was shopping with my husband and parents. While we were in this store someone squirted a brown substance on the back of my fathers shorts, to make it look like he had an accident. While we were checking out a very nice, well dressed gentleman pointed it out and I told them it was OK that we had paper towels and we would take care of it when we got to the car. Another man then pointed the way to the restroom and said it could be cleaned up easily while in there with much persistence (This all happened very quickly). My mother and I left to put our groceries in the car and my husband went with my father to the bathroom to help clean it up. While in the restroom 4 guys were helping by bringing in paper towels and distracting my husband while they "cleaned" my fathers shorts. He had his wallet in his back pocket, buttoned in, but they were able to replace my fathers wallet with another wallet that had dummy cards in it. We didn't realize the switch until we returned back to our condo. We were lucky as my father is legally blind, does not drive nor does he carry credit cards so they only got an ID, and about $100 in cash. Just want to put it out there because we are always so careful and in the pleasantries and haste let our guard down. There is no way that the employees did not know what was going on. read more
