They have a completely new staff here and I must say they are going above and beyond you feel like like a family member here! Not many people do that anymore go way out of their way to make sure that you're comfortable and happy! I highly recommend this place for anybody coming through single adults to families with children! Was pretty disappointed in my recent stay. The staff wasn't properly trained on check in policies and double charged my card. I had to wait until the end of my stay to get refunded. When I spoke to the manager there were no apologies or solutions besides "we can't refund you until checkout." I suggested a cash refund so I could use my money over the weekend and she stated she would call me back in the morning and never did. Luckily I had savings to pull from, but not everyone can afford to be shorted $240 while on vacation. I'm extremely disappointed in this stay based on that experience. I will note that the staff I spoke to that were not the manager all seemed polite and helpful. read more

If I could rate this hotel lower I would. Traveling from Chicago we booked a room for two nights with the national desk. As we would arrive very early in the morning we called the local front desk to let them know when we would arrive. We arrived at 2am...I walked in to find sleeping beauty fast asleep on the divan. I was soon to find out "Molly", the desk clerk, was lacking in hospitality. She stumbled to the desk, fumbled through the computer's database and announced, "Sorry you're not in the computer." We stated we had a conformation number and had spoke with the desk clerk earlier to confirm our reservation. Molly stated, "I don't know what you don't understand, you're not in the computer." After about ten minutes of what I like to call, "an employee in need of staff development." I had enough, it was clear to me, if this young lady was the gateway to our stay. I will pass. As a result, it was the Hampton Inn...a fine facility with a friendly staff was and will be the hotel that will get our business. This hotel represents the worst the small town has to offer. I cannot and will not recommend this hotel for anything but a laugh as you pass by...the welcoming Sign should have been enough to tell me what to expect. read more

Well, you get what you pay for. I have been here approximately 3 hours now and really want to change my hotel for tomorrow night. The front desk clerk looked like he hated his life and was so not friendly and did not offer any information about anything. Walking to my room....The place REEKS of smoke. I don't mind smoke...I actually smoke cigs a couple times a week, but just walking down the hall and into my room, everything smells like smoke has been embedded in the walls and will soon embed its way into all of my belongings. Hell, I might just light up a cig in here.... So I decide to go to the indoor pool and jacuzzi and whaddya know...the jacuzzi is "out of order". Special. Go back to the room and realize my safe won't open. The friendliest hotel worker from the front desk comes in and can't open the safe either. He says, "Sorry about that." I say, "Does it always smell this bad of smoke when there's tons of non-smoking signs?" And he says, "Yeah, they're not allowed to but...you know." Um, okay. So I'm trying to watch my DishAnywhere and Netflix accounts on my laptop and whaddya know...the internet is crap. Nothing is loading. I'll be surprised if this post even posts. This bed is super comfortable at least. Guess I will just go to bed and hope I can get a refund for tomorrow night and check in somewhere else. P.S. I have not seen any cookies yet. read more

First thing I have to say is we usually stay at Best Western or Holiday Inn Express, however, they were booked. All I can say is you get what you pay for. The curtain rod was broken so the drape was hanging open, the carpet was all rippled and needed replacing, the bathroom definitely needed remodeling. On the lighter side, they supply you with plenty of towels and the breakfast was good. read more

Do you like the color gray? I mean, really, REALLY like it? Well then this is the place for you! The coal-fired power plant across the street has provided everything in this place with a lovely grungy gray powder coating, the carpet in our room included. My son's feet were gray and looking like he'd gone barefoot all day within seconds of taking off his sandals. There was also scunge on the walls in the bathroom and a pervasive smell of diesel throughout the whole place. Not recommended. read more

I usually try to avoid cheaper motels due to past experiences. Stayed here due to unforeseen circumstances. Super friendly staff. Inspirational scripts on the walls. Biscuits and gravy for breakfast. Clean rooms. Definitely a pleasant surprise. Only downfall is the end of the hall the stairwell leading from the smoking section had lingering smoke from the upstairs area. But I wasn't lingering in the hall so it wasn't too big of a deal. If I ever go back I would not hesitate to stay there. Wish all super 8 motels were like this. read more

Do not stay here! Worst experience ever. We booked this trip through Expedia. After a long day of travel, we arrived at the hotel and checked in with no problem. Went to check out the pool and the hot tub, only to be told the hot tub wasn't working and wouldn't be available for our use. A few minutes later, the main desk called us to say there was an issue with the Expedia credit card, and could we please come down to deal with it. My boyfriend went downstairs, and was made to feel like we were the criminals in this situation even though we had nothing to do with it (we had already paid for the room directly to expedia, the issue was with Expedia's account, not ours). Our only choice for rooms was a smoking room. As this was the only room available, we tried to make the best of it, which was a near impossible task. There were cigarette burns in the bedroom quilt, and cigarette ashes on the floor. The TV didn't work, and there was on one on site available to come to do a repair. The next morning during checkout, we went back to the front desk to confirm the Expedia issue had resolved itself. It had, and the manager at the time apologized and requested I leave my name and phone number. She said she would contact me later in the day to discuss crediting my Wyndham account with some points to make up for our troubles. It's been three days and I still haven't heard back. This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. read more

We were here Thursday night....I left a tank top and sweater hanging on the back of the door.....now, they weren't super expensive, but, I called later that day, when we were already in colorado......nope, they weren't in the lost and found' or in the found book.....I know for a fact I left them hanging on the back of the door after my shower.....soooooo, looks like house keeping has the same style as me, and someone got a new outfit. The point isn't the clothes....the point is, what if it had been my wedding ring, or my iPad?? Does housekeeping just get to keep whatever they find???? We stay here often, but, we won't ever again. Remember to check for everything when you leave, or, chances are you'll never see it again...... read more

Affordable hotel in Scottsbluff (about $80 for two people). The beds were comfortable and seemed to be newish. Breakfast in the morning was adequate. Quirky: lots of 'inspirational' quotes pasted on the walls. It looks like someone had a shopping spree at Cracker Barrel and then decided they would decorate the hotel with it. Cons: the night woman at the front desk was rather unpleasant to deal with, but that was over soon enough. If you have to stay in Scottsbluff, this place will probably do. Awful!! Stunk so bad like cigarettes. The carpet was discusting. They was stains on it everywhere. The shower curtain you could tell has not been washed. And the price was just rediculous! That place wasn't even worth 50 a night!!!! I am beyond upset! For god sake hire cleaners that know what they're doing and it would probably be a lot better. Was so impressed with this place, I usually don't do this but had to share, the service was exceptional, clean, quiet and has a very home like appearance, I have done plenty of traveling from state to state for business and I usually don't expect perfect unless I am paying for it and this Super 8 shows ownership of pride and hospitality at a very affordable price. read more

For some reason this Super 8 is so much cheaper than the other motels in town. Before our visit I kept saying, "It is only for one night and the price is SO much cheaper." Prepared for the worse, we checked in only to find a sparkling clean motel. The owners have added their own personal touches such as non-mass produced art work on the walls and a gift bag at check in. WHAT? A gift bag! It contained cookies, fried pie, bottle water, and chips from local businesses. They also had homemade cookies and the regulars knew exactly when the cookies came out off the oven and like lemmings, migrated to the lobby at these times. This is one of the nicest Super 8 motels I have stayed. Very clean friendly and helpful staff. Morning breakfast included hot food. The only reason it does not get 5 stars is the soft mattress although others may like a soft one. Since this motel is located in Nebraska the instructions in the room about what to do in a tornado was appreciated. I would definitely stay here again read more

I live in Colorado and have family here in Scottsbluff, NE so we visit often. I have stayed here many times and have always had a pleasant experience. The kids enjoy the swimming pool, rooms are comfortable and clean, beds are super soft, breakfast is good, the staff has always been friendly and welcoming and the best of all they allow our four legged family members for a low cost!! I honestly have no complaints, definitely recommend real steal for the price :) read more
