DO NOT STAY HERE!!! We were in our room for about an hour or two, when my boyfriend found A BEDBUG running around the pillows. Our sleeping three year old was in the other bed (this was around 11 pm). My boyfriend went to the front desk and he did get a refund, but no comp days, nothing. So now, we get to re-pack our stuff and wake up our three year old to go stay in another hotel. Unbelievable. The lady at the front desk could not care less. The real kicker- when my boyfriend was waiting at the front desk to talk to her (with the bedbug pillow in hand), the guy behind him tells him hes checking out too because HE HAS BEDBUGS IN HIS ROOM. This is absolutely disgusting. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! I have pics and videos! I wish it would let me post the video, because it is a much clearer, better picture of the bedbug. I will be talking to corporate and the health department tomorrow.

Hands down one of the top 5 WORST lodging stays of my 58 yrs of life. Employees/Owners were rude, impatient and condescending. The room was a VERY OLD dump with antiquated/dirty furnishings. Would not honor " Website Policy" regarding cost of pets. Terrible cost/value ratio ($85 on a Tues night). The ONLY good thing was the internet. See photos.

Breakfast buffet has waffles, toast, packaged pastry, apples, cereal, orange/apple juice, amd coffee.

Very nice clerk checked us in. We've been on a road trip camping at National Parks that have no showers, so it was nice to finally take a reeaaalllyyy long hot shower!! We even got to do our laundry, although beware you'll need to run your clothes through the dryer twice to get them to dry. Washer and dryer each cost $1.50 per load (quarters only) and a bottle of detergent for 6 loads is available for $2 at the front desk. Beds were comfortable, room was spacious, and we had a fridge and microwave. The continental breakfast would have been better with more variety, but it wasn't too shabby - cereal (raisin bran & frosted flakes), make-it-yourself waffle, toast, packaged oatmeal (3 flavors), apples, pre-packaged cinnamon buns, coffee, and Apple/orange juice. Wish it stayed available later; breakfast only available from 6-9 am and checkout is 11 am. The indoor pool & spa area was clean & clear. The spa was the perfect hot temperature, and my kids really enjoyed the heated pool. Never could get the free WiFi to work.

I love this motel. This motel is spanking clean. The customer service is warm and welcoming. The beds are extremely comfortable. I slept great and woke thinking I was home. There have been 0 star experiences at prior motel 8's in other states. This Grants Motel 8, NM, is definitely in the Comfort inn, Best Western, catagory! Thank you, for a restful stay and extremely positive experience Colorado resident

Free breakfast, indoor pool the only complaint I have is that we got an ajoining room to someone else and could hear talking in the early morning.

The hotel was very careful on Hotels.com to make it look like the rooms were not on the outside of the hotel, I absolutely would have chosen somewhere else had I known the doors to the rooms were not inside the hotel. I feel like this was intentional so they automatically lose a star for that. I genuinely only stayed here because I didn't want to stay in Albuquerque, thinking it would be safer outside of there. We checked in late, like 9:15pm or so. The lady at the front desk was so friendly and sweet that she deserves 5 stars. The lobby area was clean, and so was the outside of the hotel. The room was fine, it was basic but clean. The bedding was clean and so were the walls. The ac did not work very well, so that kind of sucked but I can deal with it since we weren't staying a significant amount of time here and it wasn't insanely hot. The problem lies in the area of the hotel and the clientele that stays here. In the parking lot there's people just sitting on parking blocks smoking and staring, lots of people walking the halls so all you see is shadows of people walking past your window which is a little unsettling when you have 2 kids with you. Definitely wouldn't recommend staying here unless you're cool with sketchy people going past your room all evening.

The facility is very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was everything you could hope for on a road trip. Beds are comfy with lots of pillows. Sheets were nice and soft. The shower had great water pressure. The TV worked perfectly and had lots of options and it's got a couple of dining options nearby as well as a giant Walmart. The wife and I took advantage of the pool and Jacuzzi and it was super relaxing! Nice and warm and helped us settle in for some needed rest. I would stay here again and I would recommend it for you as well.

To my surprise, they had availability, it was $70 cheaper than the Hampton, and the Front Desk person was much more pleasant, even signing me up for the rewards without any hassle. They gave me the same member-level perks as Hilton (free water - hey, I ain't complainin!). I paid $89 for a King Standard on a weekday, and I got a spacious room with a comfortable bed. The decor was dated and smelled a little of stale smoke (non-smoking hotel), but the bathroom was clean, the water was hot, with good water pressure, and the towels were clean. WiFi was excellent and I slept well. Except for the smell of the room and the wake-up call that I never got (late to get back on the road!), I'd give a 5 star rating based on the price and customer focus. I plan to stop again next time I'm on the I-40.

This hotel is old, but has had some needed renovations that you can see in contrast to the old structure. It's perfect for the night. The sheets are white, crisp, cotton, and most importantly, clean. Solid beds, firm pillows, and large rooms. The people in the dining room were super friendly at 6:30am and the food was hot and fresh! If you're passing through on a budget and aren't prissy, this place is a good stop to rest your head and fuel up. If you're put off by old hotels, slightly dated decor, and good hospitality, then I suggest you spend twice the amount for the holiday Inn down the street. .

I'm glad I didn't--but if you pay more than $50 a night for these rooms, you will be disappointed. Pros: The front desk was very accommodating in helping me get adjoining rooms since we are traveling with young children. The rooms are spacious, clean. Each room comes equipped with a rather large refrigerator, and a microwave. I thought it was funny that the TV appears to be about 30 years old :-) Cons: when a hotel says "free breakfast" you assume it's for everyone in your room. Not so at this hotel. Each room comes with two vouchers. So if you are traveling with four people per room, two of you are out of luck. The hotel is in dire need of updating. The curtains and sheer curtains are torn and dusty. The bathroom tubs are three notches above awful. Pool and Jacuzzi are out of service. Air-conditioning in one of our rooms did not work. That being said, we were not unhappy with the room because we got such a good price. When you were just traveling through, it's not that big of a deal. This is not a place I would stay for a week. Overnight, it's no big deal.
