This is what the bathtub looked like when I arrive to my hotel room. The TV didn't work and the toilet overflowed.

Driving in from Albuquerque... The Holiday Inn Express was full, so this was our second choice based on reviews. Friendly staff. Clean hotel and rooms. Water pressure in shower is EXCELLENT! Only had occasional noise of running feet above us---which we drowned out by leaving the bathroom vent on all night.(TRAVEL TIP--This is our method of white noise while traveling. Note: not always available in newer hotels) En suite, Fridge and microwave and coffee maker a huge plus. Complementary breakfast consisted of cold cereal, fresh apple or oranges, frozen Jimmy Dean Sausage egg biscuit, which you can heat and eat in room, if preferred. Indoor pool and hot tub were closed when we arrived. Location is near a Walmart and other businesses. Pleasantly surprised by a good night's rest. Would stay here again.

Checked in and the lady upfront was about as rude as you can get! Asked for a down stairs room and she told me I would have to take what she gives me or go somewhere else! As I walked away to get my luggage she was laughing at me because I could not cancel the reservation. Room is dated and the couch had a huge burn in it! Bed was lumpy at best and the "hot" breakfast was a joke. Will never stay here again, if your traveling through here save your money for a more accommodating hotel!

I am getting married tomorrow. I was with my mom when we reserved the "apartment" for my wedding in October. I personally called and requested a written confirmation of the reservation a week later. I received the confirmation via email on October 18th. We arrived today and were told that the "apartment room" we had rented for my mother, me, my brother and his wife, my best man and his wife, and my minister and his wife, was rented out and we were told that if we wanted they would give us five rooms elsewhere for only $200 more than we had agreed to pay. I would recommend not making reservations here more than an hour in advance, even if you have it in writing they will rent it out to someone else. I have attached the confirmation email along with the attachment as evidence.

The hotel was very careful on Hotels.com to make it look like the rooms were not on the outside of the hotel, I absolutely would have chosen somewhere else had I known the doors to the rooms were not inside the hotel. I feel like this was intentional so they automatically lose a star for that. I genuinely only stayed here because I didn't want to stay in Albuquerque, thinking it would be safer outside of there. We checked in late, like 9:15pm or so. The lady at the front desk was so friendly and sweet that she deserves 5 stars. The lobby area was clean, and so was the outside of the hotel. The room was fine, it was basic but clean. The bedding was clean and so were the walls. The ac did not work very well, so that kind of sucked but I can deal with it since we weren't staying a significant amount of time here and it wasn't insanely hot. The problem lies in the area of the hotel and the clientele that stays here. In the parking lot there's people just sitting on parking blocks smoking and staring, lots of people walking the halls so all you see is shadows of people walking past your window which is a little unsettling when you have 2 kids with you. Definitely wouldn't recommend staying here unless you're cool with sketchy people going past your room all evening.

The facility is very clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the room was everything you could hope for on a road trip. Beds are comfy with lots of pillows. Sheets were nice and soft. The shower had great water pressure. The TV worked perfectly and had lots of options and it's got a couple of dining options nearby as well as a giant Walmart. The wife and I took advantage of the pool and Jacuzzi and it was super relaxing! Nice and warm and helped us settle in for some needed rest. I would stay here again and I would recommend it for you as well.

To my surprise, they had availability, it was $70 cheaper than the Hampton, and the Front Desk person was much more pleasant, even signing me up for the rewards without any hassle. They gave me the same member-level perks as Hilton (free water - hey, I ain't complainin!). I paid $89 for a King Standard on a weekday, and I got a spacious room with a comfortable bed. The decor was dated and smelled a little of stale smoke (non-smoking hotel), but the bathroom was clean, the water was hot, with good water pressure, and the towels were clean. WiFi was excellent and I slept well. Except for the smell of the room and the wake-up call that I never got (late to get back on the road!), I'd give a 5 star rating based on the price and customer focus. I plan to stop again next time I'm on the I-40.

This hotel is old, but has had some needed renovations that you can see in contrast to the old structure. It's perfect for the night. The sheets are white, crisp, cotton, and most importantly, clean. Solid beds, firm pillows, and large rooms. The people in the dining room were super friendly at 6:30am and the food was hot and fresh! If you're passing through on a budget and aren't prissy, this place is a good stop to rest your head and fuel up. If you're put off by old hotels, slightly dated decor, and good hospitality, then I suggest you spend twice the amount for the holiday Inn down the street. .

I'm glad I didn't--but if you pay more than $50 a night for these rooms, you will be disappointed. Pros: The front desk was very accommodating in helping me get adjoining rooms since we are traveling with young children. The rooms are spacious, clean. Each room comes equipped with a rather large refrigerator, and a microwave. I thought it was funny that the TV appears to be about 30 years old :-) Cons: when a hotel says "free breakfast" you assume it's for everyone in your room. Not so at this hotel. Each room comes with two vouchers. So if you are traveling with four people per room, two of you are out of luck. The hotel is in dire need of updating. The curtains and sheer curtains are torn and dusty. The bathroom tubs are three notches above awful. Pool and Jacuzzi are out of service. Air-conditioning in one of our rooms did not work. That being said, we were not unhappy with the room because we got such a good price. When you were just traveling through, it's not that big of a deal. This is not a place I would stay for a week. Overnight, it's no big deal.
