Hostess was unprofessional and unwelcoming. We were given verbal confirmation that we could use money that we had previously paid for a reservation that we had to cancel for a new date. But then subsequently she emailed us saying this was not possible due to the amount of time elapsed. This is pretty poor behavior for the hospitality industry. I recently stayed here for two nights while I was attending a festival the Zuni Pueblo was having and thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The 'suite' I stayed in was it's own private 'cabin'. While it is a part of the the main house, it is completely separate and private with its own kitchen and wood stove. Old rustic wood from floor to ceiling with handmade Native American rugs and art throughout. Sheri the host was wonderful and even though I was gone too early for breakfast each day, I found a delicious large slice of homemade pie waiting for me each day! There are several fountains throughout the property and great seating areas throughout the large outdoor garden area. There are also ancient petroglyphs a short walk through the woods. How many B&Bs come with that feature? Loved my stay and highly recommend the experience! read more

Such a great little B and B! They had a room ready for us on short notice and the space was just beautiful. Fire ready to go in the cute wood stove, beautiful bathtub, lovely little kitchen, and delicious breakfast delivered to our door. Great jumping off point for visiting Malpais and other sites. read more

This review is unfortunate and disappointing to say the least. My husband and I booked a 4 night stay in the Bandera suite. I had previously stayed at this B&B two other times over a 10 year period and loved it! This was the first time for my husband ever, so I was so excited to share this place with him. I was warmly greeted upon arrival.. All our delicious breakfasts delivered daily. We throughly enjoyed our stay, and felt that the time there was relaxing and romantic. Shari and I had shared quite a few conversations about her business and the animals that used to be on the property years back that I remembered. I offered to pay the balance upon arrival, she insisted we wait, I informed her that we would like to be paid up before leaving as we needed to skip breakfast and head out early the day of checkout. We anticipated morning traffic to be heavy headed to Santa Fe. Shari seemed disappointed that we were not staying for breakfast that day. We always returned each day from our travels before dark. We closed up the suite and the art/gift gallery before leaving to be sure everything was secure. My husband was not thinking about the gait key before leaving, I assumed he had grabbed the key, before locking up. When we first arrived he had instructions with keys in a mailbox outside the gait. When leaving Shari had not left instructions about leaving the keys, so my husband did not think of the gait. He left the keys in room and locked the front door to the B&B. So unfortunately, we had to call Shari at 0600 on a Monday to open and close the gait for us. We apologized several times. She was not happy. Her response was "oh shit" and hung up. We waited about 10-15 min, and we could see that she was clearly upset. We again apologized for the simple mistake and inconvenience. She replied " Yeah, you'll see a charge". We were both shocked at her response. After 3 visits to this B&B, spending 600.00 this visit, the friendly convos we shared and the good memories I had created there, this is how we got treated. First, of all, I'm sure it's not the only time someone forgot the keys for the gait over 30 years of visitors and second of all that is her duty to be of service to her business. She always states if you need anything at all, call her. Her home and cell numbers as well as business is given. We made sure her shop was secure each day while we were there. How anyone could be so rude to a 3rd time patron is unbelievable. Left with a shocking bad experience I never expected from Shari. A simple "It's ok, no worries, have a good trip" would be more of a response I would expect. I had left her a hand written note thanking her again for another wonderful visit and enjoying her breakfasts in the room before leaving.. thinking that maybe she would read our note and realize she made a mistake in lashing out at us as we checked out. She charged us 40.00 the next day. Will not be coming back sadly, and I can no longer recommend my favorite place to stay in Grants. read more

This happened to be the most serene place I have ever come across. Sheri and Tom were wonderful hosts. If you are out in this area of New Mexico, I highly recommend staying a night or two at this beautiful Bed & Breakfast! read more
