Pretty nasty, only stayed after a 20hr drive because I didn't care anymore and just wanted somewhere to sleep for a few hrs. Loud neighbors, dirty room, no lock on the door, wife said at some point someone tried opening our room door during the night. It's rough, not worth it at all. If you absolutely have to be stay do it cautiously. Otherwise I'd continue down 5 until you find something better. read more

After getting to room after a long day room was dirty amd shower didn't work. On top of the were people that were staying. at this property arguing and fighting outside and police had to be called. Cleanliness. Extremely disappointed. I asked for an adjustment on my room rate due to the fact I woke up in a bed with live bedbugs and could not get out of there fast enough so I could come home and take a shower. The first time we've stayed at this hotel our entire room smelled like cigarettes; when we told the office they gave us a new room, but it was the same thing. We chose to ignore this experience and booked it for a second time and it was a worse experience as this time there were bed bugs on both beds and bit me. We told the office and they moved us to another room. The new room's tv did not work, there was only one spot to plug in your electronics, and when we turned on the heater it blew out air that smelt like it could kill if we didn't open the door and window to let it out. Stay away, rooms are not great and the service is worse. We checked into this hotel at 9:30pm the gentleman at the desk was kind. After l unloading the car and getting in the room we found that the light over the vanity was not working. I reached out to the front desk who said he would be right down. Ten minutes later I walked to the office and he said he was coming, he then followed me back to the room only to find that the light switch indeed was broken. He asked if I wanted to switch rooms and I said since it was already late and we were unpacked I would prefer to stay and asked if he would consider giving a small discount, maybe refund the pet charge which was $20. He said he would ask. That night we did not sleep well, the pillows were the size of a couch throw pillow and were really firm, my wife ended up sleeping without it. Then in the morning as we were getting ready I noticed the bathroom wall was dirty in multiple spots and cobwebs on the ceiling of the bathroom. As we were leaving I went to the front desk to ask if the young man from the night before was able to get a refund approved. The new man that was there was very harsh, he asked if the man had offered me a new room, I said yes but do to the time and the fact that it was just a light we preferred to not move everything. I explained the other stuff that we found and I was asking just for the pet refund, that way they get their full room rate. He said I should have moved rooms so I said Ok then I will share that in a review, he then began arguing with me, and I finally said that this is poor customer service and if he was not going to show good faith by offering a discount the best he could do is say sorry you did not enjoy the stay and have a good day and by arguing with me he is guaranteeing that I remember to do the review. And that is where we ended it. Even without a refund there are ways he could have handled that where it would not have been worth my time to review. I am giving it a 2 and not a 1 because the gentleman who worked the night was at least curious. I would not return to this location. read more

We would give it a negative 7 if we could. This is the dirtiest, most disgusting motel room we have ever stayed in! Carpets were SO filthy they left your feet black! Tile floors in bath area were extremely dirty. Furniture was falling apart & mattress sunk in badly. Bed cover was soiled. A/C thermostat didn't work to control the temperature. Maid walked in without knocking, while we were dressing. We strongly advise anyone looking for a clean room, to pass on this one. We literally felt sick after staying here. Please disregard all the negative nellies here. I stayed here for a night about a week ago, and had a fantastic stay. Had no problem checking in. Everyone was very friendly. I reserved through the Wyndham App, got points, and also got an extremely good rate with the military/veteran's discount. I asked for a room downstairs because I have mobility issues, and I got a downstairs room almost right next to the lobby. They even have a parking space specifically reserved for veterans, which is a nice touch. The motel is in a great location. Close to everything. Only about a block from the 5, almost right across the street from the Olive Pit, which has great shopping and awesome burgers. (And you *have* to try one of their olive oil milkshakes. Immensely better than they sound.) It is also very close to the 3 truck stops in town, which generally have the best gas prices. You don't even have to get on the freeway, there's a frontage road that will take you right there. Room was great. Yes, it's an older motel, but it's fantastic for the price. No smells, no stains, no problems. Spotless bathroom, very comfortable bed, screamingly fast wi-fi, great TV with plenty of channels and a great picture. I had no issues whatsoever. Breakfast is very basic, but if you simply want a bowl of cereal to get you on the road, it's fine. Plenty of places close by if you want more. Great place, I would stay here agin in a heartbeat. Horrible! The room was filthy. it reeked of the "air freshener" used to cover cigarette smoke, but the result was two bad smells. The bed was saggy with a very thin sheet and a dirty bedspread. Huge stains on the (filthy) carpet. When I moved a nightstand to reach a wall plug I saw about a half-inch of dust and grime along the baseboard. There were "spots" on the floor in front of the toilet. The breakfast offered cereal, but no milk to put on it! I stayed at the Super 8 in Corning this past Sunday night. I selected the motel based on reviews and past experiences with the chain. It had everyone one would want in a room: - The room was quiet. I had a room on the second floor, which helped reduce any potential noise. - The room was clean and did not smell. I have bad allergies and despise hotels that use a lot of carpet spray. The room smelled clean without any toxic chemical smells. - The bed was really comfortable! - The shower worked well and the water was hot - The A/C worked great, despite being a little old and loud and slow to cool the room. - There was ample parking - It's across the street from the Olive Pit where you can get a bite to eat and about a block or two away from other dinning options. Wi-Fi, a good working fridge and cable, along with free breakfast (which I did not take advantage of), were added perks. The place exceeded my expectations and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again and would highly recommend it. For ~$60 you won't find a better place to spend the night. read more

Bed bugs anyone ?...seriously ?...we booked this hotel many months ago for 2 nights. as we were attending a weekend function.....checked in about 11pm..stormed out 1am in our PJ's... HERE GOES: as we started getting comfy in bed..little Charlie the bed bug shows up crawling around in the sheets !! took photos & video..went to front desk to show off little Charlie...Edwin called around other hotels for us to go to, as we had to be in town for a function that we had committed to many months earlier...everything was booked as there was also a live stock auction going on in town...lo & behold he found a room at the Express Holiday Inn @ double the price...Edwin mentioned super 8 would compensate for the troubles...so off we went at approx 2 am (after driving 4 hrs already)...wow..what a difference a hotel makes....long story short... we returned the next day to inquire about the compensation & where else we were going to stay since now we were pretty much HOMELESS for the night (being 2 women) sleeping in the car on a cold night was NOT AN OPTION !!... next day...front desk Erica was no help...i demanded she call management or owner...she refused at first..saying (we'll call you for updates..) I SAID NO !! u make the call right this moment...we are HOMELESS....need a place to sleep tonite !! make the call right now..let management or owner know there are BED BUGS...and they need to find us a place to sleep for tonite...as proper customer service would do..or a CARING OWNER/MANAGEMENT...so she calls owner SURESH PATEL...apparently he was not willing to do anything about finding us a place to sleep as i would think he should have a little responsibility to this matter..he refused to even care..so i asked Erica to hand me the phone as i would like to speak to Mr. PATEL...she would not co-operate...Mr. Patel would not want to talk with you...oh really ?..well in this case i said..i will go public with this matter...i have the video of Charlie & his friends...(there were several happily crawling in the sheets)... Mr. Patel was not too worried at this point....and public i shall go with this...i told them i would call the TV station and share my lovely new friends that live at this Super 8 motel...now we all know that bed bugs are an issue just about every top notch hotel too, but what makes this more annoying was that no one seemed to care about us being 2 women that had no place to sleep due to their not upkeep of cleaning this place of bed bugs...with no other assistance from them, as they should hold some responsibility to this matter... Stayed there Dec. 26th should have never stayed there but it was late and we were tired from a long drive. Terrible dirty room. Dirty used carpet and furniture .Toilet seat open. Looked like it was used. Sink faucet leaking. Water all over counter. Had to put towels around it. White powder along moldings on floor (cockroaches?) walls paper thin. From 2 am on no sleep because of noise from upstair rooms (stomping around, running water etc). For $77.00 plus tax per night there are other better options available. Having stayed at a few budget hotels/motels on a lengthy trip from Canada to Southern California. This was easily the best motel I stayed at. 1) it was cost effective. I was not required to put down a deposit on my credit card they let me pay cash. Which I had no issues getting back. 2) the beds were comfy. 3) the room was sizable and clean. 4) they are ok with dogs. 5) the room was gloriously pitch black, and kept the outside sounds out! Even in the morning when the sun was out we were able to sleep in undisturbed till 9am, in the dark and didn't hear a thing. It was a great sleep after a long day! read more

Will NEVER stay here again. They use top sheets as bottom sheets that do not even come close to fitting. This coupled with the coffee pot not working, water pipe sound from every room and the cockroach in the bathroom makes it easy to not return. Put a little more money with it and stay at the casino.
