I didn't have a very good experience here. First, they made us wait because of the weather, which wasn't that bad. They kept stalling, telling us another 20 minutes after another. Before we knew it, it was 2 hours later and we had no boat. Then they cancelled our boat and insisted we reschedule. They suggested tomorrow, except tomorrow is supposed to be actually stormy. Why would you suggest a day that is going to be worse? Go to Lake Lewisville and find another marina. This place is not good. read more

This place is a sack of s#!+. This is what happens when 16 yr olds are allowed to run the daily comings and goings of a business. Horrible customer service on site. Equipment is well below standards. Took a boat out 2 weeks ago and it never ran right for more than 3 minutes. Took it in an hour early and they gave me a sticky note! for a credit of 2 1/2 hrs. Said they would email me the details. It never came. Called the main number and scheduled jet skis for today. And then I show up 10 minutes early and they tell me the jet ski I reserved just went out and the other is broken! Thanks for the call!! I have 2 kids whom I have promised 2 weeks in a row I would take to the lake for a good time and have yet to have one! Still waiting to get my 269$ worth of fun out of this place. Maybe 3rd time is a charm here. Guess I will be forced to find out! Horrible place. Wish the option of Zero stars was on here. The boat was a 2 on a scale of 1-10. It was in very poor running condition. It must have had a short and made a very loud beeping sound regularly during the entire trip. It was deafening and most annoying. When I called the marina from the water and even told the person on the dock at the conclusion of the trip, both responded "oh, it does THAT" Seriously?! ALSO, It must have had bad gas because when the ignition was turned off it continued to sputter for several minutes afterward. Won't rent again. Rented a pontoon boat for my family on Fathers Day it was quick and easy to get the boat. Once we got out on the water we realized the radio wasn't working, we called into the office they walked us through the process of fixing it and stayed on the phone until it came on. Very nice will def use this company again!! read more

I was hesitant to utilize Suntex, after reading the previous Yelp posts. But they appeared to be the only place to rent a jet ski in Rockwall, Texas. I was happily surprised. Perhaps they are under new management. I had no issues. I reserved two jet skis via their web site. I arrived and had a great time. The jet skis were ready and worked perfectly. In fact, one of the staff members loaned me his water proof watch so I could make certain I returned on time. The only negative, is it was a bit expensive. I guess some competition would help with that. read more

Horrible Experience We reserved the smaller Bennington Pontoon for out of town guests this past Memorial Day weekend. We preferred the small boat for a small party and for steering purposes. 10 minutes before our departure time, we received a call from the associate that was supposed to meet us indicating he would be half an hour late. Upon his late arrival, rather than providing us the Bennington, he provided us with the larger Veranda which was in very POOR condition. Seats were torn in several locations (large tears-I have pictures if you'd like to see them) and the overall cleanliness of the boat was also poor. The associate actually indicated he was 'upgrading' us to the larger boat because the smaller boat was underpowered. By far, this was NOT an upgrade. We advised we just wanted the smaller boat we ordered. Again he indicated we didn't want the smaller one as it was too slow. Given we had already lost half an hour of our day due to his tardiness, our group tried to make the best of it and just pushed off in the substitute boat. Once out on the lake, we smelled a horrible stench and found very old trash including rotting food in a compartment on the boat. The smell was horrible and we were just completely embarrassed to have brought out of town guests on this boat. This boat and company associate did not portray to our guests the image of Lake Ray Hubbard that we wanted. We went on and tried to make the best of our day but given the horrible smell hitting us every time the wind blew a certain direction, we came in early. At that time, I spoke to the only associate on hand (who indicated he was very new). Andre personally confirmed the condition of the boat as being poor and apologized over and over for the smell and experience. He provided a bit of a more complete explanation that the original small boat we wanted wouldn't start. He indicated we should have been upgraded but agreed the boat we were given was far inferior to our original request. I was assured a member of management would call me by the next morning and 'make this right'. By the end of the next day, no call came so I contacted the recommended manager myself. The proposed solution was I was told that my next rental (July 4th holiday), I will receive a discount on my rental to 'make this right'. I was not told what type of discount that would be. I did not get a great feeling about this conversation but given I frequently have summer guests, I am hoping that this company stands behind their word and provides me with a pleasant experience July 4th.
