Had a great time at summer camp. Really enjoyed riding and the crafts. The trainers are kind and quick to respond.

Visited Equest on my bus tour with JLD and the facility and staff were phenomenal! I can definitely…read moresee myself requesting Equest as a placement location in future. The staff are so patient and kind. The amount of care the animals receive is just indescribable. I'm not an animal woman at all and these horses were gentle, patient and so sweet. I faced my fears and pet a few and I want to go back just to see them lol. The facility is very well-kept and clean considering what it is used for. I recommend taking your children for horse therapy and rehabilitation. If applicable to me I would be one of the first to sign up.

This place gives me so much happiness. I've waited over a year to write a review and have gone back…read moreover 20 times. As a volunteer, the staff treats you with respect and like you're a family member-after all, the program only survives on volunteers for classes to assist the instructor in each class. Ellie is the volunteer coordinator and she is so easy to talk to and makes it easy to communicate with her via text/email! She and everyone there make a point to thank you every time you come in too! Why do they need volunteers for class? Well, As many as 3 volunteers could surround and support a beginner or riders with more emotional or physical needs by holding them in the saddle, maybe just putting a hand on their leg so they know they are safe, etc.... While maybe 1 volunteer would be used for an experienced rider to simply lead the horse. I can't say enough about this place! Looking to help your community and volunteer your time around KIND people and animals? LOOK NO FURTHER!

My journey began with Hannah as an adult lesson student in Nov 2023. I hadn't ridden horses since…read morethe age of 14. I fell in love with the horses and the environment at the barn very quickly. A few months later I started showing, and subsequently - fast forward to December of 2024 - I bought my first horse with Hannah's help. Hannah has made me feel incredible comfortable in a completely new world. She knows her stuff and looks after the horses incredibly well. I always love my time at the barn and Hannah has helped me push myself to improve. She is an incredible riding instructor and trainer, and I truly can't recommend her enough. She has made fall in love with the sport - that also helped me through some pretty challenging personal times. Highly recommend if you are looking for a family like barn experience.

I started riding at Laurel Ridge Stables in January of 2022 and it was the best decision I've ever…read moremade for myself. I am a beginner adult rider, having started at age 31! Hannah is extremely patient and kind and has helped me along in my very short riding journey. I value her as a trainer and friend so much! She is extremely compassionate and understanding. She will never make you feel bad about your riding, rather provides positive feedback and a plan of action for improving at your pace. The barn is like a second family. From the horses, the riders, and their families, Laurel Ridge Stables has really created a safe space focused around community, determination and good sportsmanship. I always joke saying I'm healing my inner child but it's true. Working with Hannah and the horses have changed my life. This barn is a show barn, so the barn participates in shows in/out of state (mainly in Texas). I started showing this year and it's such a fun way to get more involved and work towards a goal. No matter how young or old, there's always room! The lesson program is wonderful and each horse has something to teach (just be sure to say thank you and give lots of treats)! The horses are all well taken care of and barn is beautiful. There is an outdoor bathroom on site and a sink to wash your hands. If you thought about horseback riding and didn't know if it was possible, please know it's completely feasible and worth it! It's never too late to start riding!

Owner is full of himself thinking he is above other people and has the right to put down children…read moreand boarders in front of other people. We boarded there and were looking at buying a saddle from Kai, the owner and while trying to negotiate a price, he called my daughter a barn rat. There was also a lot of insanity around him not allowing people to leave with their horses once disgusted by his terrible manners. Literally tried blocking the exit until people threatened to call the police to remove their own horses! This man is unhinged, very unprofessional, and extremely rude.

Arrived for our first lesson on a Sunday afternoon....no-one at office…read more. no one around except other riders...ask a rider, young man, where we were suppose to go. He directed us thru two barns to our instructor. She was nice , a little rough. but nice. She told our daughter to go pick a hat. What?! We had NEVER ridden english and had no idea what we were suppose to be looking for. But we picked one, which ended up being to big. She had our daughter get on, now our pony looked like a underfed old barely able to stand older pony. I felt very sorry for the little thing. We were lead around the entire barn area twice...then taken to the covered arena , where another lesson was being conducted and I think we intruded. After about 3 times around our instructor told our daughter that she had another student and she needed to get off. I was very very put off from this experience. I guess the western world is a little more friendly....or perhaps I chose the wrong English place for our first lesson. Needless to say I canceled our camp reservation. I think I can do as well as they did. I do NOT recommend this place.

SATURDAY EVENING at 7pm less than 24 hours before the ride I get this message Hey Larry. There was a miscommunication between myself and Jeff. The ride tomorrow is unfortunately fully booked. My name is Kambry with Widowmaker Trail Rides. The lady who usually sets people up for rides is out so things are all out of whack. I RESPONDED That is unacceptable. I have a guest coming in from out of town. So you need to do something. Something earlier or something. I planned this and you gave me confirmation. Kambry then said Who gave you confirmation? We only confirm rides when we receive a deposit I then said Let's not do that. YOUR PEOPLE: I have 2 spots Sunday from 6-8 pm ME:Great I'll take them. He will call you shortly. My ride filled up before Kambry could call you but she should have called yesterday and told you immediately. Jeff I asked Okay does the time change? Jeff said I'm not sure but he will call you shortly and you can work that out. NO ONE CALLED. SO AT 9:34 I said It's 9:30 I haven't heard from anyone. That's not a good look Jeff responded This ride isn't going to work. Do whatever it was that you were planning to do tomorrow before you called yesterday last minute to try and schedule a ride with us this weekend. I read your text with Kambry as well as your text above and it would not be a good fit. So I guess people that call last minute get lies. I responded I will definitely include this in my yelp review. It's obvious you don't keep your word. Pitiful I had someone coming in town for this ride. DO NOT USE THEM. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.
