This was our first time to New York and we did a sunset cruise and we were blown away!! The Captain and crew were outstanding and so accommodating and pointed out many landmarks around the harbor.. We got up close to the Statute of Liberty, Ellis Island, the Brooklyn Bridge and saw Manhattan lights by night. I feel like it is a robbery of my money and its so sad that this is the only thing in the area like this . The boats are very small and outdated. WIth the money they (/PROSPECT PARK) makes they can afford to get new boats! more updated modern ones where peddles dont break as I saw a times. They just prepare the boat and send it back out on tje water , only to break again. But the main reason I am reviewing them is because it's just upsetting the condition they will give a paddle boat..THEY DO NOT CLEAN NOR CHECK BOATS AFTER USE !!! I understand there is usually a line & theyre rushing to collect everyone 's money but it takes a minute to inspect boats! So just do it and if needed just Clean the boat between clients. Not with bleach mop but at least remove dirty water excess / dirt/ food/ garbage from the people before current patron. They gave me a boat in disgusting condition and I mentioned it to the staff and they just said something like "he's nasty what do you want me to do ".I was very displeased with this service and I will never do this again

Each seat is far from each other. The seats lean back, so you can never relax and you have to hold your head up the whole time, like you are doing abdominals AND the back keeps falling off. 4 people complained of the same thing in the 30 minutes we were there. The boats are junk. Wish they had the old ones back. The people were helpful and friendly (though even they were worried about the kids, as they are completely unsafe for small kids). Terrible change for the pedalboats. We are not coming back for that.

There were charcuterie boards for us to snack on (nice touch) a five course meal and a cocktail included with the purchase. The starter was grilled shrimp, Cesar salad, for my meal I selected the salmon, it came with mashed potatoes and broccoli. Service was fast and friendly. The view were nice, seeing The City at night on the water is a great way to send the evening. The only area of opportunity I saw was the boarding process. There were no clear signs for where to meet, folks were wondering around trying to figure out which vessel was ours and there needed to be another person helping to check guests in.
