Since I was hosting my family including grandchildren I had a number of questions even as an experienced boater. The team there answered my multiple questions and we set out on Monday, August 4th. John greeted us for the 4-8pm rental and went over every safety regulation including checking my grandchildren's safety vests for Coast Guard approval. John is an enlisted member of the coast guard. Right there you are dealing with a safey conscious boating company. And we had precious cargo on board. John gave clear instructions on boat usage with maps and boating travel limits. We followed every rule and created family memories forever. Upon return we were met by Sean and owner Joe inquiring about our trip. That's impressive. Highly recommend Empire Boat Rentals for a 4 hour or longer excursion along Reynolds Channel with stops for lunch or dinner at water front restaurants from Island Park to Point Lookout. Lots of space on the table and seating around it. *Location of the boat was VERY CONVENIENT!! Had a parking lot with lots of space and the marina also had ice (great when you have a cooler/in need of ice for drinks). TIP: Captain Steve was really kind in offering to help us with our cooler, and offered to bring a cart/wagon to put the cooler on to make it easier to bring on the walk to where the boat is docked. *Captain Steve: Not only was he informative about the areas, but he was also a pleasure to have a conversation with. My friends and I had a fantastic experience and enjoyed our time sailing and relaxing , and will definitely sail with captain Steve again this summer!

Despite my best efforts in the past to do Fall train rides, which turned out to be disappointing only because there was never any good colors on trees, this by far is the very best fall foliage experience I've ever had in my life. You get great views of the tree color transitions and just great photo opportunities. It does get cold on the water so bring a jacket. Experience is as excellent as last time with beverages and snacks for purchase. If you enjoy fall colors, great scenery and boats then you have to do this at least once.

Booked this 4 hour tour cause it was one more hour than the one we all know that did not go so…read morewell....just kidding! We headed out and the scenery was really great. The boat seems a bit old but solid. I will echo what many have said about the food onboard. We didn't have any. Also no drinks for us. It was rough seas so not sure how they would settle. We did not see one whale in 4 hours. I know it is not the guys on the boat's fault but it was a bummer. Riding around on the boat for 4 hours hot old after the first 2. We left a little disappointed.
