There are already so many reviews, so just some notes: 1) Make your way around the current dump (also a Nassau County gem, seriously) and drive slowly. 2) Parking is tricky at certain times of the day and on weekends. Make sure to come before 9:30 on beautiful days, or else you'll be parking far, far away. More steps, If you really want them I guess. 3) Wear your sunscreen! Skin cancer is no joke, and it's pretty bright up top with not a lot of coverage if you walk around to the lake. 4) Beware...No lights in the bathroom and really not the best place to use the loo. There however is a shopping center close by... 5) Look out of all sorts of critters from birds to bugs.. including ticks.

We played doubles, and my partner and I won the game against the other two players. Points are scored only when the serving team wins a rally, and I am a good server. I learned fast how to make the ball hit the court in front the blue line, which is known as the kitchen. Elvis, the head coach, was thorough in his explanation of the fundamentals of the game. We practiced our skills with our peers, getting feedback from the coach that was assigned to our court. There was a coach for each of the eight courts, and each court had four players. I learned the rules of the game and how to score. The goal is to keep the ball out of the kitchen. You can only volley outside the kitchen. The class lasted approximately two hours, and we all had fun. I will definitely be back to take more classes. Occasionally, the park will hold certain culture nights, on the weekend that I visited they had a Caribbean night out near the amphitheater. A lot of people showed up and it definitely was not a disappointment. They even had a few celebrity, Caribbean singers. A lot of food vendors and arts and craft vendors were out and about making it worthwhile for the visitors. This park holds a lot of history, the memorial site down near the pond is a great place to watch the sunset. Here's a fun fact, Eisenhower State Park is larger than Central Park in Manhattan. If you ever get a chance to visit, I highly recommend. Not to mention there is also a golf course accessible to the public for a small day fee.

Often times, I meet my friends, if they can't make it I feel safe walking alone. Safety officers are visible and Nassau County PD conduct tours. The bike lane and lane for walkers are respected by both. The restroom are clean. There is two kiddy parks and BBQ area. The park is a good way to clear my mind and get mine steps in. The tree lines paths are beautiful during the change of season.
