Every party was required a 2 drink minimum per person. It's a pretty pricey experience compared to other comedy clubs in town, but you pay for the name. The only hiccup I had was the line. You're advised to arrive 45mins - 1 hour early, but you just stand on the street most of the time. You can only enter the actual line when it's almost time for your show, so arriving early is not for the purpose of getting good seats. They didn't actually let us get in line until 10mins before our show. All GA seats were actually just fine. The purpose is to make sure you have enough time to get through security, but that took just a couple minutes. Would I come back? Probably not unless there was someone specific in the lineup I had to see. It was definitely something nice to experience at least once.

I was on high alert & prepared for a slightly scary experience walking to the Mothership location. I'm glad that I was prepared for a rough environment - but my experience was nothing but pleasant. There was a crowd of staff members & security present when we lined up to enter. I never felt unsafe for a moment. Staff members were super friendly, helpful & welcoming. After a short wait outside, we were escorted in & led to our table. Seating was very tight & I was halfway sitting on the lap of the fellow next to me. I could not move & that's saying a lot since I'm quite skinny. Our server arrived & took drink orders. Since my husband & I don't drink, we just ordered seltzers ($4 each-very reasonable). She returned swiftly & without disrupting the show. There is a 2 drink minimum per guest which is clearly disclosed when purchasing tickets. There was a good variety of comics. Three comics I'd never heard of though others seemed familiar with them. Tony Henchcliffe then did a set & he totally played off the audience which was great. Joe Rogan followed Tony & must've done an hour or so which included a 15 minute "ask me anything" set for the audience. This was the highlight of the show to me. The questions were so random & unexpected. I am a big supporter of "no phones" at live shows. I wish there was a clock somewhere in the room. And I wanted to take photos inside the entrance and funny enough- the women's restroom. The wallpaper was epic! Thankfully they post photos on Instagram daily so you can at least have some physical memories from your visit. We found parking directly behind the club ($20). It was only a 2 minute walk back to our car. The audience was fun and relaxed and the club has a very chill atmosphere. I definitely want to return for a "Bottom of the barrel" show one day. Overall, we had a great time. Will be back for sure.

Scoped out the venue which was bigger than anticipated and really enjoyed the fish tank TVs. So fun! The show was entertaining and up to date with references all relevant to the current times. Everyone on stage was great and their chemistry can be seen. The audience was laughing 99% of the time and the show went back fast! I'd totally go back for a local Austin night out with good laughs.

They do a mix of comedy, magic, music , and just overall great entrainment for their shows. It's mainly themed around local and world politics + the LGBTQ community. Tickets are approximately $40. The show is about 90 minutes, with a 5 min break halfway through. They have a bar on site, and a taqueria that's connected to their building as well. Highly recommend the taqueria, it's authentic and delicious! Absolutely recommend for locals, visitors, and those who just want to enjoy a great show in the best city in the country!

Let me tell you, he was absolutely hilarious from start to finish. My wife and I were dying laughing the whole time. He's a genuinely talented comedian and deserves sold-out crowds. If Cory B comes through Austin again, do yourself a favor and go see him--you won't be disappointed. Now, onto the venue and menu: Started with an espresso martini--solid but nothing fancy. Strong pour (bartender was generous!), but the balance could be better. I'd give it a 6.8/10. Tried the Love Potion next--much better, really enjoyable. Solid 7/10. Appetizer: bacon mac and cheese balls--not our favorite. They weren't very hot, had a strange texture, and just felt off overall. Around a 5.5/10 for us. My wife got chicken tenders and fries as a snack--classic frozen bar food, but perfectly fine for munching during the show. A steady 6/10. Service was excellent--our server was super attentive, quick, and on top of everything. We never waited long for drinks or food. The venue itself is great for comedy, the show was fantastic, the drinks were good, and the food was... mid. But honestly, you're not there for the food. My advice: eat a solid meal beforehand if you're picky about eats, then come ready to laugh. Overall, an awesome night and a memorable birthday. We're already looking for our next show at this spot! Highly recommend catching Cory B if you get the chance.

Great reviews, great location, and it's BYOB. Tickets were $20 for front row or $15 for GA seating. We bought GA, as we figured people sitting in the front row would probably be used as part of the show and that wasn't the vibe for us. We arrived 10 min before the scheduled start of the show and quickly found seats in the 3rd row. I liked the way they set up all the seats, making it easy for everyone to have a clear view no matter where you sat. The show started a little behind schedule (~10 min) but that was ok. We used the time to use the bathroom one last time and settle into our seats. There were 6 comics and all were funny!! I enjoyed the show they set up a lot. One thing I will say is that 2 of my friends had been to EAC a few months ago and recognized 2-3 of the comics, and they were using the same exact material because my friends new pretty much every joke they were about to say. This is not an issue, but does make me wonder about how often I can come back to EAC, given that it may be the same comics with the same set. Either way, I had a great time!

One of the guys that waited our table was hitting on my drunk friend and was very handsy. The event itself was fun. I'd probably go again but maybe if it was somewhere else. I liked that this place had two floors. It was big enough to hold the crowd that came for the event. The DJ and Host were funny and kept the conversation flowing well! Good music. It was hard to see in a dark room so much so some of my friends gave up on trying to keep track of their bingos and just danced to enjoy the music. The drinks that we were served were made well. My only complaint about the event was that we got two different emails about the start times and my friends and I worried about showing up late or potentially too early. When you try to contact the event itself in the emails where it says contact us it tells you there's no phone number and that you have to contact them by email and when you email them you get an automated response that says sorry we don't check our emails. Ask us on Facebook. I got a response via Facebook messenger about 24 hours later and confirmed the start time from one of the original emails, but all in all it was a fun time.
