Last night I saw The Secret Show for the first time and it was packed with killers from beginning to end.

There was a group on the patio area where you can order tacos, I did not partake. Then the bar area inside. You can take drinks into the showroom as well. Scoped out the venue which was bigger than anticipated and really enjoyed the fish tank TVs. So fun! The show was entertaining and up to date with references all relevant to the current times. Everyone on stage was great and their chemistry can be seen. The audience was laughing 99% of the time and the show went back fast! I'd totally go back for a local Austin night out with good laughs.

They do a mix of comedy, magic, music , and just overall great entrainment for their shows. It's mainly themed around local and world politics + the LGBTQ community. Tickets are approximately $40. The show is about 90 minutes, with a 5 min break halfway through. They have a bar on site, and a taqueria that's connected to their building as well. Highly recommend the taqueria, it's authentic and delicious! Absolutely recommend for locals, visitors, and those who just want to enjoy a great show in the best city in the country!

It turned out to be a nice evening out. Two comedians warmed up the crowd before Malik B took the stage, and from the moment he started, he had everyone laughing. His observations, relatable humor, and effortless delivery kept the audience fully engaged. His set was packed with laughs, blending everyday experiences with clever storytelling. His comedic timing was outstanding and reminded us of the younger Eddie Murphy. One of the highlights of the show was Malik B's interactions with the audience, including a physical education teacher, a salesperson, and a former stripper. He kept returning to their stories throughout the set, creating hilarious running jokes that had the crowd roaring with laughter. Interestingly, he surprised them by offering to pay their tab at the end of the show (major nice gesture). Capitol City Comedy Club provided the perfect setting for a night of entertainment. The venue was comfortable, the staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere made for a great experience. Please note that there is a two-item minimum purchase per person for food and beverages. Parking was also a breeze, with plenty of free parking available in both the mall lots and parking garages. My brother-in-law thoroughly enjoyed the show, and so did we. It was a fun, memorable evening filled with nonstop laughs.

Staff at the door to get into the showroom was rude - yelling at us trying to grab tickets from people who weren't in our party then mad at us because we stepped to the side to give room for the others to get in the door. they gave us the table closest to the door so there was a lot of shuffling around and light coming in everytime someone opened the door through out the show. They say they have a 2 item minimum but we had to flag a waitress down 30 min after the show started to even get help. we had a moscow mule ($15) and a high brew coffee (6$)bill was about 23$ I tipped 20% but now have a charge for $35- interesting calculations there.... The show was okay as well , I think pre show was better then the main show this go round. Still enjoyed my time but definitely had better experiences.

One of the guys that waited our table was hitting on my drunk friend and was very handsy. The event itself was fun. I'd probably go again but maybe if it was somewhere else. I liked that this place had two floors. It was big enough to hold the crowd that came for the event. The DJ and Host were funny and kept the conversation flowing well! Good music. It was hard to see in a dark room so much so some of my friends gave up on trying to keep track of their bingos and just danced to enjoy the music. The drinks that we were served were made well. My only complaint about the event was that we got two different emails about the start times and my friends and I worried about showing up late or potentially too early. When you try to contact the event itself in the emails where it says contact us it tells you there's no phone number and that you have to contact them by email and when you email them you get an automated response that says sorry we don't check our emails. Ask us on Facebook. I got a response via Facebook messenger about 24 hours later and confirmed the start time from one of the original emails, but all in all it was a fun time. I just found that part kind of scammy.
