Nice local park with expansive walking paths. Plenty of benches, covered picnic tables and photo ops. There is a covered play area for kids that is dessert reptile themed. Plenty of animals can be seen here and heard. Road runners, bunnies and coyotes can be seen daily. Paved and gravel paths to walk or ride your bike on.

Good neighborhood park but if I was rating more from a hike POV, it would be lower. It's paved walkways that weave in and out throughout the park. There is however, some very interesting history to read on the signs scattered throughout the park as well as wildlife that I wouldn't really expect to see in a pretty populated area. The park also has frisbee golf, basketball courts, volley ball, baseball field, workout bars, and a giant lake with seasonal fishing ( a license is required to fish here ). There's also picnic areas, an animal control center, event planning, and maybe even more. It is quite a large park that auspiciously fits in a commercial area of Vegas catty corner to McCarren airport and nestled in between houses and businesses. One unique aspect of this park is that it actually makes a good place to watch the planes landing at the airport.

Great place to walk or play or even to take the dogs to let them stretch their legs.

We get these feelings of uncertainty and anxiety; it how we deal with this self battle that we come out stronger from. I have always been able to overcome anxiety by just being close to a tree, or breathing in fresh air . We were not meant to be penned up inside a building all day long with fake air. We need to breathe. Hence the reason we escape to the park. Living in an urban jungle where everything around us is covered in concrete is disturbing. We have to keep our calm be collective. When I'm doing the day to day movements of work, the mundane plain that we coexist in an air of chaos sets in . One can call this chitter chatter of fear or anxiety but just going outside enlightenment happens almost immediately. Take a brisk walk, breathe in and out. These things can lower your blood pressure, stress, and inspire your inner greatness to grow. Let's go to the park . How many mornings do we take the time to walk and get in touch with nature. If you have not done this recently make time. A brisk walk would do you good. You can spent time alone or with those close to you. Get out and ride a bike or walk . Are you looking for your best self? Have you gotten lost recently and distracted? Do you need to soar high above the clouds? You can get in touch with your inner self with that trip to the park . Are you brave enough to go down the slide? Cross the monkey bars again? Do you remember how to swing? Push back higher and higher . See you are doing it . Release and relax your inner child is in control now. Let your thoughts flow. After playing, now how do you feel!

I do enjoy the bike lane when I'm walking my beagle where there's less people. When you walk pass the bike lane make it all the way up passing apartment complexes it connects to the bigger road to gas station and way back to my neighborhood street. I get my good steps in for the day when I make the full circle from the park then pass the apartment complexes and make my way back to my place by pacing myself. Just make sure to do the run during day time now that it gets darker fast in the winter afternoon.
